  • Haven't heard this song for twenty years; it's still great.

  • One of my biggest dreams in rock: to see Bob Mould live.

  • The Metro is like Bob Moulds hang out LOL... how many times did he play there, he played another place in Chicago like clockwork every 8 months or so... not knocking him here, it really sharpened him up -- he was already unstopable with Husker Du, but constant gigging has helped him become something amazing and unduplicatable. Robyn Hitchcock did the same type of gigging in NYC and became musically stronger

  • This album changed my outlook on music. Sugar was a great band, one that I still listen to regularly

  • Saw them two times in Berlin. Men, they were loud! And good.

  • the one thing that´s missing on the planet is a dvd of a live sugar set. i´d pay a lot of money for something like that...

  • He's throwing the melody away. I'll stick with the album version.

  • @eIectricbIue bob has almost never stuck to the album version on any songs when I've seen him in concert .... and I've seen him probably more than 10 times going back to Workbook.

  • Saw the Copper Blue tour at Avalon in Boston, MA. Mould was using two reissue fender twins, and two marshal 4x12 cabs - each with the JC-120 head on top. That's 370 watts and 12 x 12" speakers total. One pedal - a Boss OD2 I think. Strat with lace sensor pu's. The only word he said other than lyrics was "Thanks" before the second encore.

Still stands out as the best gig I ever saw - and I've seen a lot.

  • They broke the mold after Mould. He can probably still fart better than the stars that shine today who create mere pap to be crammed into our ears.

  • Copper Blue is my favorite album of alll time! ty for posting. It's rare you get a record/cd with more than 4 or 5 at best good songs on it, but Copper just has one classic after another running into each other. Imo, the most influencial and underated indie artist eva. I bought it for 'Good Idea', put it on in the car and was blown away by the whole thing. Sugar where like the Huskers with hooks. I'm still hardly getting over Copper Blue 18 years on.

  • killer song! music, lyrics, guitar...Mould is master at his craft.

  • lol meant 2 guitars?

  • lol, no, just one......but Bob with his Guitar Wall of Sound....hehe.......f**ckin loudest Band ever in the World.......couldn't hear nothing for 3 Days after their concert in Frankfurt, 1992

  • @Loewe68 Saw them in ATL.. The same result. Couldn't hear fro days afterwards... But I had a complete smile on my face for weeks and months afterward...

  • @Loewe68 Yeah, I remember that concert in the Batschkapp. I did an interview with Bob before and first thing he asked was, if I had my earplugs ready for tonight. Unbelievably loud....!

  • @Loewe68 I saw Husker Du at Batschkapp in '86 or '87. It was going go be one of the five best shows I've ever seen until some moron threw a bottle on the stage and Bob got pissed

  • tight man... four guitars in this?

  • Great version of a fantastic song.

  • Wish i could find this... sounds like ver y good bootleg..is it?

  • No, it's a B-Side Release from the Maxi-Single to " If I can't change your mind "

Live Recording at the Cabaret Metro, Chicago on 22 july 1992

  • The Boredoms opened for Sugar? Man, what a great double bill.

  • Thanks. Nice high-energy version of my favorite song from Copper Blue...muchos gracias.
