Nice informative video. However, it's important to mention that first, the country's name is not "I ran" (whereto? :D) but "Iran" (as the "ee" sound in Italy) and secondly there're so many religious and ethnic minorities in Iran (Turks, Kurds, Baloochs, Arabs, Sunnis, Christians, Jews) that makes it almost impossible to say that Iranians are Persians. Persian is the official language as well as the race of the majority in Iran (and is spoken in some other countries too).

Wingwaabuddha, the Afghans aren't Turkic, most are ethnically Persian (Tajiks, hazaras, and Parsiwans). Pashtuns are their own group, then you have the Uzbeks and Turkmens who are turkic, then the small groups like the baluch and the nuristani's.
