I've had experiences with God directly and know that he is there. I know he is real and have had spiritual experiences with Him, and I am not alone. Have you tried praying? How I know is when I prayed to God he answered. Islam teaches us to focus on the soul, and to listen to God and His teachings, and to practice them in our lives.

No, you haven't. Yes, I used to pray when I was a kid, I realised it was just me talking to myself. Ask yourself if it's you talking to yourself and be totally honest with yourself in your answer. Hell, why not ask "God" something you don't know already, like my full name? If prayer is to God and not a part of your own mind, you should be able to get new information, not just your own memories.

Well, I have prayed when I lost my keys and found them. But if I told your name, it would be more of a sign than a miracle. God also gives me insights into situations. He tells me what to do in my life, and if I follow his guidance I am blessed. Ever try keeping a prayer journal? Pray for inspiration, then follow what you get, and write down what happens. It is pretty cool.

My parents sponsored a young Turkish gentleman, after our family returned to the States from Turkey in the late '60's. Anyway, his son just visited my parents and stayed for a few weeks in Oklahoma (US). They told me the youth was one of the smartest they'd ever met, since he is fresh out of college.
