What a knockout performance. This is Callas at her best. Searing High Bbs. Just astonishing in its power and thrust. She was incomparable. Love those trombones that were added by Hector Berlioz.
@CumpariSparacino Really? As far as I know, the trpmbones were already there when Gluck composed the opera. Actually, if you type trombone in google, you'll find that Gluck was one of the first composers to give the trombone an important role in the orchestra. But maybe I am mistaken. Please let me know what your arguments are.

Thank you, Claudine. Callas at her most moving. When she sings that passage which begins "Mourir pour ce qu'on aime", it really hits the heart.
