  • Hi, I was watching the Tudors on Netflix Canada but I can't seem to find it anymore, does anyone know if it was took off?

  • Отличный сериал!

  • you think you know a story but you only know how it ends to get to the heart of the story you have to go back to the beginning. <'3

  • i love this vidéo!

  • People fearing how much they love their king is perfect

  • i cannot get this guy off my mind!!!!!!! jonathan is soooooooooooooooo hot!!!!! if only he had a better body

  • movie name

  • 0:43 yea you desired her so much you beheaded her

  • the biggest villian was duke of suffolk.

  • does the whole 'loved or feared' line remind anyone else of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland? ...maybe it's just me lol

  • @J0nathanH051088 again, Machiavelli said that.. all these people jacking his quote jeez :D

  • @Pretendkid I was like "wrong country.. but okay" :P

  • Rather the king should have been burnt alive

  • henry eighth was nothing but a greedy and rubbish king.

  • I'm very interested in this show, but I'm not sure if I should watch it. Is it worth it?

  • @greengal29 I would say that it is quite interesting and it really realistic. However, only if you could get past the many sex scenes. I just skipped them and only watched the story which was quite appealing i would say.

  • my great respect to all wonderful actors! I ADORE THIS FILM! GREAT BRITAIN IS FAMOUS FOR THEIR TALENTED ACTORS, Rhys Meyers IS BRILLIANT!!!!

  • Cool, I studied this stuff in history class :)

  • kind of disappointed at anne boleyn. from reading, i just expect her to look more seductive, endearing, and different.

  • I loved Jonathan Rhys Meyers in Bend it Like Beckham but damn, he's a GREAT actor in this series! He really brings out how Henry VIII was so hardcore. I mean, damn! That was how they rolled back then. Brutal!

  • " It is far safer to be feared than loved...Men worry less about doing an injury to one who makes himself loved than to one who makes himself feared."

    - Niccolo Machiavelli

  • Ahh, young Natalie Dormer. Coming soon to an epic HBO series (Game of Thrones) near you. :-)

  • this guy is great actor.

  • lol Duke of Bavaria is the best

  • I just saw the last ep on nexflix it was very sad.

  • fucking love this show

  • It's so weird to have an old guy voice like that say the word 'sexiness'.

  • king henry VII didn't look like that..he was fat and ugly. The guy who plays King Henry VII on the show is sexy as hell.

  • @pinkapples15 lol It's Henry VIII

  • :/ his too young to be right age for when the king got a divorce he was way older as was the queen

  • love the Tudors, seen all 4 seasons!!!!

  • when does he say "These are all just causes for war!" ??

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know the music used in the beginning of this trailer please?

  • A king with short hair? :P

  • i loved this, i cried when it all ended

  • I rather watch "Game of Thrones", it's like the same, but you don't know how it's going to end...

  • @Dinofaustivoro lol that show is something else

  • OMG it's Alan Grant from Jurassic Park!

  • haha when the narrator said sexiness i cracked up laughing

  • I think that Henry really did intend to be a good and fair ruler, but the people he surrounded himself with planted seeds of mistrust in him, by their deeds and words. Alos he had all thispower and no one to keep in check.

  • looks so shit

  • @radofzie i watched the entire series recently. dont judge it before watching it! it's amazing

  • the actors and actresses really are amazing

  • its is accruate?

  • @thesamurai2011 a lot of it is accurate, some things they had to adjust for television, for example henry is only shown to have one sister in the series. but a lot of the information is very accurate

  • 0:45 prepare for the T-rex!

    1:36 Rise lord vader!

I bet many yanks who have never left their nation believe we still live in this period and the monarchy act like this now.

  • @TigerMilitia Nope. But I would be willing to bet many foreigners think many yanks are like Paris Hilton. ;)

  • I think the best is both. If you only feared, they think soon or late that you're a tyrant. If loved, a weak. Both, you can be loved by who is loyal to you and feared for your enemies.

  • DUDE THIS GUY KNOWS HOW TO PLAY HENRY VIII HE MAKES HIM SOOOOO SCARY SOMETIMES IT'S BLOODY AWESOME o.o

  • 1.37 - what the hell is that?

  • @chris275112 It's from when Henry is having nightmares and such when the sweating sickness is going around and he thinks he going to get it. I think that was the nightmare about Anne Boleyn cause she got sick.

  • a perfect king is loved and feared

  • @pres880 loved and respected is better :p

  • Does it make me get exited after Spartacus, i really don't know..

i'll see, is Spartacus replaceable after watch this.

Interest of historical series are going up. And now there is a new series. "Muhtesem yuzyil"

watch the trailer.. it looks good ;)

    /watch?v=NVLJwtA0dhc

  • J.R.M is so hot! But the king Henry VIII was SOO UGLY!!! I can't believe he had sex with so much women! Poor them =/

  • @ll0lliip0p KIng henry was known to be very attractive when he was young. Then he got health problems which ruined his physique. HIs diet was horrific. He ate mostly meat, sweets and ale. I f you eat like that long enough even very attractive people will deteriorate.

  • "jonathan rhys meyers flat out exudes sexiness and virlity." coming from the narrator himself. because it was the the most important critique of all.

  • @Velocilover Because he does, I mean look at him.

  • I just got all four seasons of this for my birthday !! :)) I cannot wait to start it :)

  • You know, he does ask a good question in here. "Is it better for a king to be feared, or loved?" Personally I think it's good to be feared, because then no one tries to take advantage of you.

  • @darkangel15000 To be loved doesn't protect you from your friends....

  • @dealhit True, but then again, why would you need protection from your friends. Unless you don't really trust them, but then they wouldn't be your friends then.

  • @darkangel15000 When you are a king, your friends are not what they look like.

  • @dealhit And that right there shows who really is your friend, and who is only pretending to be your friend, based on your title, not on who you are.

  • @darkangel15000 the questions is a famous question asked my Machiavelli in his book the prince....(apparently a lot of kings read his advice) and he said its better to be feared too :P

  • @darkangel15000 but if your feared your people would hate you, and they would want to rebel against you. Nicholas Machiavelli said this, he said it is better to be both, but if you had to choose, fear would be it.

  • @darkangel15000 but if the king is loved then no one WANTS to take advantage of you.

  • @goosebumpish But as it is pointed out by Niccolo Machiavelli, who Henry was quoting, "Since love and fear can hardly exist together, if we must choose between them, it is far safer to be feared than loved."

  • @darkangel15000 I agree. "For love is held by the tie of obligation, which, because men are a sorry breed, is broken on every whisper of private interest; but fear is bound by the apprehension of punishment which never relaxes its grasp."

  • @darkangel15000 IMHO, its better to be loved AND feared. Rule responsibly, honoring your people and treating them well, while ruling with an iron fist. Anyone dares try to fuck the kingdom you rule, you destroy them completely. If a coup is attempted, slaughter the perpetrators. And then of course give food to the poor. lol

  • @darkangel15000 to be feared means bigger chances of riots

  • @LosNiggaRO I think that's false. Louis XIV (King of France) was very hard and even now french are still speaking about him, his power and what he has accomplished.

Louis XVI was a very passive man and he has been guillotined. A king is always hated by his people in a absolute monarchy, because he has the hole power. But I am a freaking froggy so what coul I know about this stuff! X-D

  • @darkangel15000 Nicollo Macchiavelli said: "it's always better if you are both, loved and feared, but if you had to choose one, than fear would be better, fear lasts longer than love"!

  • @darkangel15000 Machaevelli's The Prince

  • @darkangel15000 FYI Actually, Machiavelli (a contemporary) formally put forward that question in his famous book "The Prince". So the TV show wasn't the first to coin this brilliant political question.

  • @Pretendkid aha, I knew I heard that from somewhere before this trailer

  • how about to "be respected"?

  • @darkangel15000 yeah cause what if someone doesn't love him, he'll just go and kill him bc he thinks he's weird. But if you are feared, everyone will fear you.

  • :O i've got to watch that :O

  • Does anyone know the music in the backround?

I love this music... I´ts perfect for the trailer!

  • To all Tudor Fans!

Season 1 and 2 are repeated on "Arte"!!!

Starting from that August 3rd at 20.15 !

  • Hey! at 1: 38, it's Emperor Palpatine! What the hell's he doing here?

  • @duegunn haha hilarious!

  • @duegunn haha! Nice one bro. That's exactly what I was wondering.

  • @duegunn You underestimate the dark side of the force young jedi..errr young tudor.

  • 4stars? No, 5stars!

  • king are not gods

  • @sydcrstalblue what is a god then?

  • @breakdownchalle A deity untouchable by man, in the heart we know wisdom

  • one of the best shows in the world
