  • Yes it's genuine! zillions of tourists go there all the time to cycle it. Google it!

  • Funniest comment in the whole series (not in this segment) was Richard Hammond saying, "I like my little Suzuki, it's plucky--like Finland in the war".

  • Why are they driving on the left? you're not suposse to drive on the left in Bolivia, This is rubbish.

  • i went on this road. and yes. its that dangerous.

  • Did anyone else think, HOLY S*** at 7:00 ?

  • @reklahcs yes, that's so damn scary!

  • pero si seran pendejos no estan en su pinche puto pais para que anden manejando por la izquierda 5:09 jaja por pendejo PINCHES PUTITOS

  • i went on that road when i was a baby whooo go bolivia my home land. i am checuan did i spell that right

  • What the fuck is this road it give me goosebumps

  • Lol fuck the ending

  • I bet clarkson`s arse`s was flappin like fuck, how the hell he did`nt fall is unbelieveable.

  • I live in La Paz and go often to Coroico... I can tell you, this is genuine! But there is a new road and the "death road " is almost only used by tourists on mountainbikes. Hardly any buses or lorries go down that road anymore... Thank heavens

    .

  • Hammond has a goatee O.o

  • 7:00 the moment

  • i am FAN TOP GEAR

  • Guillermo Ochoa

  • This proves beyond a doubt that some countries were not designed or deserve to evolve to motorized transportation.

  • muy bueno.. orgulloso de ser boliviano!!

  • On that white Sequioa did it say California on the lincense plate?

  • SHIT!!!!!!!

  • I went there on a family vacation, needless to say it was scary as shit, being next to a huge trucks sharing the road next to a cliff. The following camping trip was pretty cool though.

  • Comment removed

  • My family and I drove on that road last summer, no joke. It was kinda scary, but then again I wasn't the one driving.

  • 0:08 ahhahahaha

  • 0.08 ahhahahahahhaha

  • Respect to JC on this one!

    Insane!!

  • Damn that last bit was scary

  • cameraman @4:07

  • The Ice Road Truckers just did this road in their big trucks, Jeremy is such a wimp!

  • captain slow with a machete, priceless

  • 日本の酷道にもチャレンジしてくれ…。

    是非岐阜県のR418走破を!!

  • Wowa i had bought a parashute

  • That is insane

  • 6:24 Jeremy is driving on the cliffside.

6:28 Jeremy is still on the cliffside

6:39 Jeremy is no longer driving on the cliffside.

This shows he is no longer go UP the cliff. Just a little something I spoted.

  • 6:38 i got scared watching this let alone imagine myself in a situation like that!

  • Jeremy was so brave :)

  • JC has nerve I would never do that I'd be like no in off to play a game where I risk my digital life! Lol

  • No. Fucking. Way.

  • @nerfboy621 I agree

  • I'm from La Paz Bolivia, I think this rode has Become a Tourist Atraccion!!!!!

    It shouldn't but is true!

  • NO PATROL shame on u guys !!!!

  • it has nothing on vancouver island

  • Phew, no backing out.

  • The drivers on this road are complete utter twats and idiots! They plow on through no matter the traffic ahead and have no consideration of other drivers! Take that white toyota or whatever that was that Jeremy had to go around - the camera showed a wider patch of road and WHY ON EARTH didn't that white SUV stop there and wait for Jeremy to pass???

I bet you there wouldn't be as many deaths then. So WHY are they so impatient that they have to just go forwards and not give a fuck about anything?

  • @grisznik Man they are south americans you have no right to judge them they view things differently.

  • @JordoF6

Well... yeah, it's probably true. But maybe there should be some trainings for Bolivian drivers. If they were more patient and would let other cars pass when the road is as wide as possible maybe fewer people would be dying there. It should be in their own interest.

  • My leg is so hurt :(

  • what the hell neeeds this road ?

  • @heki92 well not everyone has the safe comfy roads we have, plus they got to get around that mountain

  • 6:45

ey Jeremy , we have to change the wheel right now!!

  • Holy shit!

  • scary shit

  • I luv the new way of advertising, thanks youtube for letting me know what shit I won't go watch at the movies

  • FUCKING SCARY

  • This surely isn't genuine, there's no way the BBC would pay someone to drive inches from the edge of a mountain like that, the guy has a wife and family, he simply wouldn't do it.

    Good entertainment though!

  • @Jacko686 Have you heard about the time where Richard Hammond was on deaths door after a horrendous accident? If not, look it up. You'd be surprised at how much of this is actually genuine. Plus, you can clearly see them driving the bloody cars!

  • @Jacko686

I'm sure they thought they would be safe and wouldn't come one on one with a car on that particular piece of road.

  • @Jacko686 Did you notice that when he was supposedly on the edge of the cliff there were 2 static cameras with perfect sight of the 2 cars, but neither camera actually shows Jeremy in the car when the car is on the edge of the cliff. All close up shots that could have been done anywhere. Still my favourite show, though.

  • @darhug1968a 7:16 shows jeremy in teh car from a distance

  • @dingdongdoly Well answer me this. Between 7.00 and 7.14 we get close up shots of Jeremy, and yet when we get the distant shots there is no camera close by or fixed to the car. I agree that at 7.14 we see Jeremy passing the other car, but you cannot see the bottom of his wheels, which shows he was not hanging over the edge. It was clearly a set piece. Jeremy did pass the other car, but the close up of the tyre hanging over the edge was added for effect. I think we will have to agree to disagree.

  • @Jacko686 It's a road that's used regularly... What are they going to do? Suddenly swerve off the side? It doesn't happen if you know how to drive lol.

  • The fool with the Landcruiser needs to learn how to half way pass in tight areas, when one can't continue it's the other driver that needs to advance his car.. geezzz

  • @maxxout901 he didnt know ther was a ditch..

  • @Jacko686 Of course it's genuine? it's a real road, they drove real cars, on this real road, don't be idiotic.

  • @megadeth747 Just take a look at 1:47, that bus scared the shit out of Jeremy

  • @megadeth747 I think he means to say that it was not entirely as dangerous as the made it out to be. I'm sure he was very near the edge, as you can see. But I'm sure they took certain camera shots to make it look as dramatic as possible.

  • @Jacko686 what do you mean this isn't genuine, its a real place and drove through there i don't get it

  • @Jacko686 this was very much genuine, how would you fake that?

  • @Jacko686 -- C'mon, its no dangerous than many backcountry US, Canadian or even European mountain & forest roads that traverse steep terrain w/o guardrails, or if you think about it 'normal' 2-lane highways where oncoming cars are a matter of 12 inches away traveling at 66 mph/100 kmh. Poor judgement is the biggest danger on the Death Road -- 'course, sometimes its the judgement re: clearance of other drivers esp. of trucks & busses which you have little defense against. But that's 'life', eh?

  • wow !!

  • I'm bolivian and I just realized that we drive on the wrong side of the street... I mean the steering wheel is on the left, but we always drive on the right side of a road, so they probably pissed a lot of drivers there!

  • @olimercado teh that would be correct

  • This genuinely scares me...

  • Every time I watch this video I fear for their lives. Loved the bit where James is about to kill Jeremy though xD

  • Jeremy Clarkson:Most awesome and skilled driver EVAR

  • Chuck norris doesnt got shit on this road. The stig drove on this road at a average speed of 85mph. While blind...

  • I heard that the last encounter Clarkson had was staged/scripted.

  • cast away

  • Toyota Land Cruisers were built for durability but its obvious that with all these drivetrain faults that the previous owners knew nothing about maintenance.

  • OMG !

  • ddddaaamn jeremy I ate as i watched ,,damn damn ..youuu r alive !.. my food transformed into stone in my stomach.. the scenes was hoorrifying!!

  • JC, U got balls of IRON

  • @bluedevilz86 are u really sure that he was behind the steering wheel that moment?

  • @doluss Ya maybe ur right....but there is a legit look of fear on his face. Hes a good actor but i dunno if hes that good

  • @bluedevilz86 i don't think, that such person like JC would be risking so much. he's a showmen, not some kind of "jackass" actor :D

  • @doluss They were all going uphill but I don't really understand how for the scary bit he was suddenly on the dangerous, downhill side of the road. I did this top to bottom on a mountain bike and it was effin' awesome.

  • how come the top comments say both The Stig and Chuck Norris can drive the road Blindfolded

  • Holy Sh*t! Why would clarkson even try this?! You can see the fear in his face (6:33 onwards)

  • Jeremy really is an idiot for trying to get past that toyota...

  • I could just see the fear in Clarkson's face

  • 6:49 i honestly cant believe jeremy put his life on the line to get past the toyota...he shoul have just reversed back up the road until he got to a part wide enough to allow him pass safely.

  • @ShanesAutos i would not reverse backwards on that windy road where i could not see properly

  • @xJirachi81x so instead you would drive on the edge with loose falling rocks and risk plumiting into the canyon below..?

  • I cut ur f*cking head off.. xD

  • wow they drive pretty fast to be on that road.

  • Pulgar hacia arriba si vienes de ver la viñeta de Los Yungas en CR

  • you do need to have silver balls to driver in this road, and with a car you're not used to drive, i'm definatly going there.

  • everybody in the world please know this...AT&T internet service is absolutely shit! F*** AT&T i wish they go bankrupt these C*****ers.

  • Wow I like how there are so many people who have died on this road yet the locals still drive like maniacs. Shows the intelligence (or lack there of) of people (no that was not a racist comment, it was aimed at all stupid people, not just them)

  • @USMC2b1 The truckers and bus drivers there have a schedule to meet, and if they miss it, they won't get paid...

  • @PublicEnemy04 I wasn't so much talking about the truck drivers, cause I understand about them and there's not much you can really do about something so large on that road if its the only way through, I meant mainly the family car drivers who just blow past you like they have a bomb in their car.

  • @USMC2b1 Oh, the taxi drivers are more or less on that same category...they're kind of "expected" to go fast...let me put it this way: When the locals need to embark through this road, they think to themselves "well i could walk, that's gonna take a day. I could take the bus, that will take a few hours. Or i could take the taxi, and be there in 20 minutes." A price is negotiated before departure, and if you take too long, most passangers will just get out and pay you whatever they feel like.

  • @USMC2b1 Plus, most of the drivers who are willing to embark through this route could most likely drive through it blindfoled. And Many of the "newcomers" drive with an experience co-pilot who talks them through as they advance. Aside of course, from the occasional tourist...who really should stick to the new road that goes along the foot of the mountains...

  • s14e06

  • Recommended on riding the Peel P50 when driving through the death road. be smart guys, what idiot would want to drive a Marauder through there.

  • I Wonder if the World Rally championship tried to include this to their racing track??

Might have been epic or SINCERLY "FAIL"

  • 0:50 Hammond hahahahaha :D

  • I WOULDVE BEEN SCARED SHITLESS IF I HAD TO DRIVE ON THAT ROAD

  • what season is this?

  • @GloomY1HaveN Season 14 Episode 6

  • WRC over here anyone....???

  • Good editing top gear... and the script made it look like Jeremy rode that Rover over the edge :D... Hell not in a million years.. Kudos to the brave driver behind the scenes for That Insanity....

  • hmm appears that 07:10 was filmed afterwards for dramatic effect.

  • 4-runner best car in evrey country

  • richard seems fine when jeremy was gonna get killed

  • Chuck Norris can drive this road blindfolded and drunk in half an hour.

  • @nastyrocket Chuck Norris is The Stig's bitch

  • @iliketoloveman Definitely. He (or she) could do it blindfolded, drunk, with one hand in 15. Chuck is getting kinda old admittedly.

  • @nastyrocket ...And often does!

  • @nastyrocket then again, there is not enough alcohol in the world to get Chuck Norris drunk...

  • i love it

  • It is not as dangerous as is shown. This video is totally exaggerated there are hundreds of vehicles that go this dusty road every day… haha.. It is fun actually.

  • and there we have it ladies and gents the most dangerous road on earth.

it is actually truth not a joke

  • no fear

  • go to river road by the bogwalk gorge in jamacia.. about thesame and worse

  • how is that legal?

  • @BlazingFury07 u have to Google the subject but it is in fact legal is a stretch of road in Bolivia... and it is quite simply the most dangerous road on the planet.

  • Oh I remember the days of the yellow subscribe button

  • Wow .. the government can`t afford any bariors ?

  • @warrisification

Barriers where... on the Air... ? the road is so freakin narrow and Brittle....

  • That looks scary and fun all at the same time.

  • That looks scary and fun all at the same time.

  • The locals are mad on these roads!

  • what episode and season is this

  • @doggyonthree s.14 ep.6 - Bolivia Special - 27 Dec 2009
