  • Wow. I worked at Hazeltine Corp. back in the late 70s. I was a wave solder operator helper for the operator. Watching these clips brings back a lot of memories. I can still smell the sweet scent of the flux /thinner.We used KESTER solder ingots, And had to strain the solder frequently of impurities.After the boards went through the machine they were bathed in a hot Vapor degreaser((Trichloroethylene) I will never forget those days. Hazeltine was one of the 1st in computer manufacturing!

  • Yes, the pcb is preheated to about 120 degrees C. The solderwave has a temperature of about 250 degrees C

  • how do they avoid heat shock fractures? do they preheat the PCB?

  • @molinobeer It contains leadfree solder SACX0307. 375 kilo.

  • I`m using in my company very old ERSA...

    ST -350 propably from year 1976... cgood old mashine:)
