I know im late but i have read a lot of the comments and i'm just gonna say this is the reason why the kingdom citizens are not making the difference in the world we should be making. We bicker and find fault amongst each other instead of asking ourselves what more we can do for the kingdom cause we all can do a lot more. Everyone says Gospel is about reaching out to sinners, 100% true, but isn't that what going out and serving the community is about? You can do things like volunteering at homeless shelters or soup kitchens or some kind of servitude.If you REALLY want to help people give them love. Where in the Bible does it talk about music being the means by which souls were saved?The Bible does speak of music, but it was used as worship not outreach. I love music but it's a supplement not a replacement.

Who cares...honestly I listen to Rev James Cleveland or mighty clouds or william becton when i want that..if i want seculiar music just turn on the radio. "club bangers" is just a figure of speech, in the same way that "church music" is. what constitutes "church music"? what constitutes "club bangers"? some people that call their music church music are wrong, some people that call their music club music are also wrong...

I don't believe that offering riches and materialism is a good way to offer christianity. Especially when Jesus told the rich man to sell his earthly goods, when scripture says its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.
Also realize that everyone that gets saved will not be rich or affluent, because somethings God will not give us because he knows it will destroy us. So every person that gets saved will not be able to flash the smooth clothes, drive the awesome car or sign the check with alot of "zeroes". It would be fraudulent say that you will automatically get these things when you become a christian.

yeah when I went to the club drunk and looking for a good time i thought of hearing about Jesus. Please, I know we must not judge but how can someone justify making gospel sound like a club banger and how can people bent on hooking up and grinding on each other really have a heart ready to hear the Word of God. If I was planing something I would look for good soil or make the soil more fertile. Not just randomly throw seeds that MAY grow somewhere cause there's lots of soil.
Also, its not the beats itself but the words and lyrics that either glorify God or not. I am still waiting for a "house" gospel album that would be Mary Mary infused and Kirk Franklin infused with some Israel Houghton. That would be off da chain!
We need to pray for their ministry, not knock it down. Remember God thinks outside the box. I also think that Mary Mary really prayed about having some of the world's favorite artists who don't show Christ in their life on their cd and that God revealed to them to reach to the masses, to the younger generation, which is quickly going down under. Think about it. A few of these songs may seem secular-ish, but once these kids listen to it, they will buy the cd and the seed of Christ will be inplanted in their heart to grow, which is our job as His disciples. We should commend them.

I have been hearing the debate about this song and a few other songs on this album. I like God is Me and I think this song is cool. I don't listen to David Banner, but if you listen to what he says, he admits that he curses in his videos and his life is full of sex and sin. Then he says that there is a greater mission for him and that he is trying to do better, that it really hurts, and ultimately he is trying to change, trying to be close to and like Christ.

What's the difference between someone standing in a pulpit speaking the word and someone singing the exact same words with a beat or melody behind it? Yeah, but usually to influence them on how their living, SINNING being the operative word, was a lifestyle of DEATH, not LIFE. Jesus never fell off into the sin of the people around him. Most people today don't have that ability. Everyone says Gospel is about reaching out to sinners, 100% true, but isn't that what going out and serving the community is about? You can do things like volunteering at homeless shelters or soup kitchens or some kind of servitude.If you REALLY want to help people give them love. Where in the Bible does it talk about music being the means by which souls were saved?The Bible does speak of music, but it was used as worship not outreach. I love music but it's a supplement not a replacement.

Also realize that everyone that gets saved will not be rich or affluent, because somethings God will not give us because he knows it will destroy us. So every person that gets saved will not be able to flash the smooth clothes, drive the awesome car or sign the check with alot of "zeroes". yeah when I went to the club drunk and looking for a good time i thought of hearing about Jesus. Please, I know we must not judge but how can someone justify making gospel sound like a club banger and how can people bent on hooking up and grinding on each other really have a heart ready to hear the Word of God. If I was planing something I would look for good soil or make the soil more fertile. Not just randomly throw seeds that MAY grow somewhere cause there's lots of soil.

We need to pray for their ministry, not knock it down. Remember God thinks outside the box. Mary Mary is also proving to Christians in the industry that by having them in their videos, they don't have to give up their faith and abandon their relationship with Christ to be cool. I also think that Mary Mary really prayed about having some of the world's favorite artists who don't show Christ in their life on their cd and that God revealed to them to reach to the masses, to the younger generation, which is quickly going down under. Think about it. A few of these songs may seem secular-ish, but once these kids listen to it, they will buy the cd and the seed of Christ will be inplanted in their heart to grow, which is our job as His disciples. I have been hearing the debate about this song and a few other songs on this album. I like God is Me and I think this song is cool. I don't listen to David Banner, but if you listen to what he says, he admits that he curses in his videos and his life is full of sex and sin. Then he says that there is a greater mission for him and that he is trying to do better, that it really hurts, and ultimately he is trying to change, trying to be close to and like Christ.

Having a nice beat and a different sound is simply good music. Good music doesn't have a genre. Open your eyes to see the bigger picture. If that's what it takes to win lost souls, then so be it. What good will it do to keep preachin to the saints? The saints mission is to witness to the UNSAVED, not keep it to ourselves.

Christianity isn't something that you spread by any means necessary..because in even in the secular world you hear people say that they only value the music and not the words, so even secular fans miss the message in the music that they like, so having a nice beat isn't gonna get people to focus on the words..it's actually a distraction. It's not about what's presented to you, it's about what it is that you value.

What's the difference between someone standing in a pulpit speaking the word and someone singing the exact same words with a beat or melody behind it? Most people today don't have that ability. Christ is right there on their album! I've heard other Christian artists promote their products & they didn't say a thing about Jesus. They would talk about the sound, who's on the album, & maybe their favorite song, or something like that. I'll be honest & say that I don't see any problem with the way they came about promoting their album.

Becuz they praise him on the album, they talk about Jesus, it's in the words that they use. I don't kno how u feel about sounds & feels to songs, but those don't matter. God loves music, and accepts all praise in all different forms.
You are right, we shud have some sort of an idea on who/who isn't in the body of Christ! However, we shud still be careful. The one person that we may think wI'll never get into Heaven, may get in, & the one we feel is going may not get in.
