Even with a water dropper, it's better to add water to the water hole of the inkstone instead of the grinding area. That way we have better control of the amount of water which is as important and critical as the grinding time, grinding pressure... eventually when we realize the amount and timing, our strokes will be improved.

這只是研墨片斷過程
平時我用九宮格練楷書所研墨的時間多於此片斷過程

It's better to start with less water. If the water is not enough, we can add more right away.
