  • Why Aussie Ford won't export this for the North America market? Holden export their cars to the US

  • I like this vid but no way would it make 255rwkw factory , sorry but not convinced

  • FFS! Either that car isn't stock or the Dyno is wrong / in shooutout mode.

    256 kw @ wheels = 348hp @ wheels

My FG F6 made 307hp @ wheels straight from the factory

So basically your telling me your FG XR6 makes 50hp more @ wheels with both cars in stock form?? Don't think so!!!

YES turbo cars are underated from the factory.. but not by almost 100hp!!

  • @hybridshift mine made 255kw at the wheels stock, made just under 300kw with a tune

  • ha thats cool as if thats stock 250rwkw and 270 at the engine doent make sence ford should be advertising it 295kw .the 300kw+ hsv's only have 250 and 270rwkw

you can tell its a big coverup downplaying the turbo's so the v8s dont lag in sales u wouldnt pay more for a v8 if on paper the 6 was shown to make more power and torque @ lower rpm, weighs less gets 7L per 100klms better, the only thing they cant do is make that noise

  • nice wheels on that

  • hey what kind of rims you go their ???

  • Nice Car mate

  • hope i never see that one for sale

  • and did i meantion they left a boly out of the dump pipe so i had a massive exhaust leak that worped the mating surface..

yeah im a happy customer. C & V is SHIT do not go there!

sorry the comments read backwards, you tube had a 500 character limit per comment... so i had to brake it up.

  • the car went back again, they then told me my gearbox was making thr boost go crazy... WTF?

they had no idea on what was wrong with the car and 18months later now it still surges, they even tryied telling me it did it before they touched it... but it as stock and went fine.

as for my custom tunes they are all the same and all shit.

also since they touched it i have also found numerus bolts missing and even a snapped stud in the rocker cover...

  • it was so bad i called them straight away..

they said bring it back up, i considered what other choice do i have, so back i went.

now you need this waste gate acuator, fine do it, now you need these new coils, now you need these spark plugs... and so on. still the same problem, they had car all day and could not fix it.

  • @laurieonbike the car went in for injectors, valve springs and to supply a flash box (capa2) and give me 3 custom tunes.

car was on duno maybe 20mins, and they where done.

took it for a road test and the boost kept surging from 5-10psi.

they put it back on dyno, another 30mins (most of which is switched off while they Down load to computer).

Con said it was right and i lived some 2 hours from their work shop so i paid and left.

as soon as i got out of sydney i put my right boot in....

  • FG's are neat, im starting to like them more and more!

  • id take an xr6 turbo over holden sv6 any day

  • notice thats not rear wheel KW's it just says kw not rwkw

my bros xr6t that he had had 345kw and about 270 rwkw theres a big difference!

  • 256rwkw is a really good number for stocko. my mates one only made 215rwkw on stock 11psi

  • My xr6t was a good car till cv tuned it

  • @jmpin1 What did they do? If u dont mind me asking

  • dont think they revved this car hard enough to produce 256rwkw but as i own an fg turbo im certain it makes that power from stock, just wish they would show the run it actually did to produce that power figure. oh the zf 6 speed auto dominates the t6060 manual. t6060 is in my opinion a clunky rough shifting driveline rattling box of shit in the fords, would rather the t56manual. but then again in the hsv the t6060 is mad and you would'nt own the auto if it were thrown at ya. but thats just me

  • love the colour

  • hay i really some advice here. ive just placed an order on a new fg xr6 turbo in manual. i only drove the auto and it felt slow. will the manual feel like a actuall turbo car. all im after is that strong surge of gforce, all the evo's got it and the wrx's but will the fg have the same feeling if not more?

    please get back to me

  • Hey mate, being honest, i wish i had gone the auto. Between gear changes on full throttle th car remains on constant boost in an auto. My manual does produce that surge you're after because you shift manually and then accelerate again, boost drops and then spools making the car feel faster. I believe the auto is faster overall. My 2 cents.

  • yes i just bought the auto - way faster then manual - nice car

  • @lucyjunior auto is slower off the mark , manual has launch control so you can rev the crap out of it and launch on boost.

Auto doesnt wheel spin unless you flog it.

About 6 secs 0-100 in the auto as stock....255kw stockat the wheels?

    Get another dyno...its bullshit.

  • @findanotherone i just bought an auto if you dont think its fast....then you need a different car. I think the auto transmission on the FG is great. I have been a manual driver all my life and i converted to auto with the xr6 turbo

  • @findanotherone Manual's are for idiots. Auto's clutch and change in the 0.0x second mark whereas by the time your brain recognises redline approaching, 0.13 seconds have already elapsed. Cars aren't about opinions, they're about maths, plain and simple.

  • @bashpr0mpt obviously your a shit driver and just like to plant your foot flat to the floor. Manuals are for drivers, but your obviously wouldnt know that.

  • @findanotherone

The ZF 6 speed is the way to go mate... unless your planning on it being a track car. otherwise, the ZF will be more efficient in its changes every time compared to the manual. Just ask the boys on ford forums.com

  • To all those guys boasting about a V6 or a V8 alloy engine with supercharger. None of it is true the current engines will stay in production for atleast 5 more years Ford said earlier this year. Then they will see where it goes they might continue producing the same engines just much stronger in the performance department.

  • don`t think so timmys2007, the straight 6 stays until 2013.

  • With a tune only Simon (XFT) got 260 rwKw on a 40 degree day and after heat soaked motor with mine. Wild now, cant wait to mod it further so I can keep up withn bikes. I don't bother with HSVs anymore as they think having a run is 0-60ks......

  • If this is stock its pritty impressive.. 15 kw loss from fly wheel to rear wheels must be some kind of record..

  • Or I try to work it of that a quater of your power is lost through the rear wheels

  • the fg xr6t apparently has 310 kw at the flywheel

  • Nah the FPV F6 has 310 at the flywheel the xr6t have gone from 245 in BF to 270 in a FG at the fly.. Its possible to get a boost controller and boost it up abit to get this power but straight out of factory without any mods i find hard to believe..

  • The XR6 Turbo puts out more power than quoted by Ford.

Why would they do that you ask? Because they don't want it beating the V8 in power otherwise they won't be able to flog off any V8's.

  • if it was bought that day why are you wringing its neck with only 50kms on it. also rims on the first day of ownership?

  • Its been 9 months having this car and still running like a dream. I guess a dyno run with only 50kms is fine.

  • @lucyjunior yeah but you can't run it that hard at the start, plus rims already? lmao good qstn..

  • 256kW unmodded? Hell yeah!!!

  • nice one, pretty impressive power figure from the xr6 turbo... is it hard to put the power to the ground?

  • not anymore my friend. i hear there stickin with the barra now.

  • i cant believe that ford are going for the v6's that's fuck'ed

  • They arent dude, they said about a month or 2 ago they are keeping the strait 6...

  • they are also bringing the v6 in too

  • no they are changing the v8 in mid 2010 to a full alloy engine . they say it will be smaller but an option super charger to give out 370kw

  • i fucking hope not that would be the most stupidest thing eva

  • they are, end of 2010 i think, but hopefully there will be a twinturbo option for the xr6

  • No, ford are not ending the i6 and replacing it with the V6 anymore!

  • they are dropping the I6 but they are replacing it with a v6 and there will be a twin turbo xr6

  • Wow great power, and a great looking car.

A tune would have to take you over the 300rwkw mark and that is just amazing!

  • The reason they are dropping the I6 is that it is cast iron and takes to long to heat up to lean the fuel out to meet up with emision regs. Inline motors develope good torque and don't need to rev as much to get about. Thats why these cars work so well.

  • They are no longer dropping it YES

  • From what I understand they are delaying the closing of the plant in Geelong so the I6 will live on for a few more years.

  • Well they are investing millions and in the plant and have not said anything about closing and they have said that they will have an all new engine for 2010 that meets new emmisions requirements.

  • SHIT

  • If they actually do end the I6, I won't be buying a Ford.

Specially since the I6T is a better engine in every way then the Ford V8 and they aren't dropping that.

  • Ford Australia lost the plot in 1983 when they dropped the V8. Now they are heading that way again. No V8, no I6, no Turbo at this stage when the I6 is dicontinued, and a wind down of involvement in motorsport, particularly V8 Supercars.. Sad to say but I believe there will not be an Aussie Falcon after 2012. The Mondeo is similar size and could end up as the flagship. V8 Supercars will not remain a two manufacturer Championship and survive. Especially with Channel 7 screwing up the TV coverage.

  • there will be a twin turbo V6 to replace the

    I6T.

  • i couldnt agree antmore with that statement spot on mate they need to pull there heads out and sort it out.

  • the falcon will always be australian, there have been doughts over the commadore and falcon going to other counries over the years and nothing happened, and ford will never drop the GT and yes i agree ford dropping the v8 after the xe was stupid, but they came back to life and have recovered and have made bloody could cars from then on!

  • Couldnt agree more, What are they doing? We now have a GT, GT-P, GT-E, WTF?! We only need 1 muscle car a GT, if you want luxury get a force8 or fairlane?, And now the icing on the cake- a GT without a FORD badge?! We all dream of owning a FORD GT not an FPV GT?! Ford is wasting money on production of so many variants, which could be put to good use else where. We need Ford to be sold to us and listed on the ASX, have a voted board, which are held accountable at 1/4yr share holders meetings!

  • Exactually, Fuck the P and E off, we dont need varients they need to focus on getting a bigger and better engine for the Ford V8s to combat the HSV shit.

  • Classic engine, but with emmissions and fords global strategy to share parts/components it going to have to make way. I reckon if you bored the V6 out to 4ltrs it would absolutely hamma!

Theyre replacing the Boss 5.4ltr at the same time aret they? I want to get my hands on one of those!!!

  • who cares, the v6 will not make as much torque down low in the rev range which is why the i6 is THE BEST!

  • If the i6 was direct injection it would have better power, torque and maybe even better consumption than the v6. It'd be cheaper than bringing in a new engine wouldn't it???

  • Inline 6's are the best, problem is packaging. Whereas V6's are much more compact... not as smooth though, weird cranks.

  • people all ready started to modify the fg falcon

  • At a gues the turbo duratec should make the power with direct injection etc. but it's gonna have a hard time matching the awesome torque characteristics of the OZ made 4 lire.. America obviously have the last word as always

  • this car isn't even run in yet, expect a bit more once this car has done over 5000 kms

  • 255 rwkw's standard from a $45000 car! GO FORD!

  • Wonder what the US twin turbo V6 replacement will have to offer?

  • NOTHING. Ford Oz has no plans to turbocharge the 3.5L Duratec V6.

The 4.0L I6 will be the last of the Ford Turbo 6s.

  • and you know this how???

  • I work for FPV and have spoken to Bill Osborne, the Cyclone twin turbo is coming.

  • Perhaps... but R&D will be at best 5 years away.

  • Ford is going to be going all out on that aussie built ford focus to save its bum.

I wouldn't expect anything twin turbo to 2012 earliest.

  • Ford America should just fuck itself and leave us to have our 4 litre's instead there losing money so they take our fuckin motor for it so they can get some of our sales..gay arse ford america..they tried the same bloody thing when the AU came out..the 1998-99 Ford tauraus was gunna be the AU till ford aus said lets see what we can do first..fuck i hate ford america

  • Its not that, the cost to make theses motors in aus is to high.

  • ford 3.5 v6 is still not confirmed. still 2 years before that happens and yes there will be a 3.5 v6 twin turbo on the market as soon as that does happen. those are the facts. just curious xr6 twin turbo so wonder what will become of the f6. i somehow doubt inline 6 will completly phase out. 1960's ford has used inline 6.

  • hey are no longer dropping it YES

  • 255rwkws from a stock 6 is awsome. Considering this car will also be very drivable and reliable (because its de-tuned)

With ONLY a re-map(Re-Tune) This car should pull over 300rwkws I beleive??

Lovly car! cant wait to see more of them on the roads!

Maybe some of the F6 R Specs ? lol

  • is this manual or auto? im thinking of importing xr6 turbo auto, but im afraid the auto tranny would not be strong enough to cope with power gain.

  • lucyjunior did you have 18s stock or 19s? I heard you have to get speedo recalibrated and Stability control if you go bigger wheels?

  • the xr6 turbo comes with 18's stock, and can be factory upgraded to 19's with no calibration required

  • and the turbo is different and the inter cooler and alot of other things are different, not realy at all like the bf f6 engine.

  • what rims are those ?

  • They are SSW Stamford 19's.

  • Friggin awesome man

    Go Ford

  • 250kw? slightly better than the BF phoons w/same motor!!

  • Pretty much same motor but the entire air intake and fuel rail system has been modified thus allowing abit more power.
