You know, it is a pity they don't make these sorts of cartoons anymore, and mostly due to a rather silly reason of maturity. I mean if you think of it this way, they had violence where people ACTUALLY died, like even Lord Mantle, a major character in the scheme of things was stabbed. Also the violence of cartoons then, compared to now, is far more violent.

It is a shame, they should bring back cartoons that allow for an older age group to watch. Shadow Raiders ftw.

Yes, I admit it was much like Beast Wars in it's being used to promote a toyline, but it doesn't matter. It's a good show that deserved far more recognition than it got.

There were plans for a season 3. Some of the stories were even written out. Season 3 opens with the Beast planet in another part of the galaxy. It devours Reptizar. The planet somehow returns as Super Raeptizar and damages the Beast planet. The BP limps away only to return as Super Beast Planet. The 3rd season would have had new characters. And the beast within the Beast planet is revealed. Think Jabba the Hut with tentacles. Lamprey and Voyd return. A new leader takes Blok's place.

This show was just AWESOME, watching this is really nostalgic. Awesome characters, a story that wrap you up and a good animation for that time. This is a show i will never forget, and i really hope they bring it back it someday

Whilst Beast Wars honoured the original Transformers cartoon (the writers recruited one of the G1 fans as a consultant on the show so they could remain true to G1), Bob Skir the writer on Beast Machines ignored previous Transformers canon.

Earth and Cybertron ARE seperate planets, yet Bob Skir decided to make them the same planet.

The character designs on Beast Machines are horrid. Rattrap looks like he's wearing a bathing suit, BlackArachnia looks anorexic, horrid show

The endings for Shadow Raiders and Beast Wars were a bit rushed and unsatisfactory, but they had endings.

It was mainly Reboot that ended on that frustrating cliffhanger.

I watched this when it was on ABC kids in Australia, it was only shown twice in 2000 and 2001 I think, the whole series.

I really liked i and enjoyed it. although I wish I knew a bit more detail about it.
