So the question is what's the difference between our perceptions of events in the world and our perception of our thoughts? Sounds too vague for a universal answer, but I'll try. I think our perceptions are our thoughts, just symbols with an associated meaning. I hope that's what you meant, but that's just the first thing I thought of.
Thought processes have been colored, formed, and shaped through past experiences. Once you realize this then you can begin to look at it more as a conscious observer and remain more disconnected from. But many view these thoughts as who they are. Imagination to me seems more like creation than interpretation or perception. And for me imagination happens in pictures more.
lol yo your thoughts, stories, interpretations, and evaluations are the same as your imagination you just perceive your imagination to not be real or like pshht that can't be real a dragon flying around nd shit; but everything has to be real in order for you think it or imagine it for you to perceive it. so every thing you imagine has to happen somewhere so don't discount your imagination for being real. i hope to live in a more imaginative world one day haha, love everything your doingkeepitup
@scola2323 yea just started watching all your videos and i am impressed, you are inspiring many many people to think more positively and i really wanna thank you for it. Very cool of you to post these videos. I've bee very interested into grounding the body to the nature in its most well balance state. Alan Watts has some very interesting thoughts. Keep it up!
I see the difference as being that the story of what's "normal/real" is an experience we've agreed to fully embrace, whereas "imaginary/dreamlike" is something we have opened only partially... enough to acknowledge its existence in some realm (calling it a dream, the future, a fantasy) while still keeping it at a comfortable distance if its vibration seems to require a less comfortable shift to merge with the current belief system. Becoming aware of this allows the choice of an enjoyable shift.

@herbgardner00 thanks for sharing your thoughts bro, its funny because as soon as i heard you say that you had these thoughts in meditation at the beginning of the video i knew it would come from spirit, so i stuck around and found out that everything your saying is something i realized in meditation once, This further validates the truth that we all can tap into the same info through meditation, as you know, its like taping into an infinite streem of information, its so cool!

thank you so much! You gave me the key to really helping figure out how to once again stop thinking in words =) i forced myself to as a kid after i found out 80% of people think in words.. so i thought not thinking in words was bad but i know now it is soo limiting
I remember going through similar thought patterns and comming to the conclusion that the map really is the territory and that immagination, thoughts, evaluations, judgements, are all the same thing, only used in relation to different objects,
This of course is only true when expressed. and or refered to by your thoughts. Since no system can describe reality in terms that exist outside said system. This is from inside of my body and carries no real meaning outside of the systems that interpret it
Ignorance in both cases answers your questions. Our mind can only interpret life through what little it knows. It may seem out dated to hear, although it still holds true. Even before birth we are learning from our parents through inherited traits which range from depression to joy. The human mind is in it's self a kind of God. It has the ability to create and manifest. We are in essence pure energy.
Hey herbgardner, I have a a question .. When you astral project do you ever run into demons???? I've 2 OBE's before and the last one I had there was a very frightening, shadowy figure next to me and I could litterally feel his evil energy mixing with mine and it was scary as shitballs. I could feel his intentions were very, very evil and sinister. How do I keep this from happening because this subject is very fascinating to me and I don't want to be scared to project.
@theunknowncove Whilst Astral Projecting watch what you think. Everything you think can manifest on the astral planes. So you don't want to be thinking about anything evil or you will attract it!
@tysonwilliams95 But when I do think of something evil, am i creating the evil souls or are they actually real demonic souls that are attracted to me because of my thoughts??
so, you're just talking about perspectives and how we need to be more objective than subjective. your theory is nice but you could have cleaned it up.
This is great, quemical reactions form the universe we stand on; but our own neurological reactions are the ones that link us to the cosmos and create subjectivity. Now, why would imagination be different from the creative process of sensitivity and the post processing, if imagination is the re-processing of stored information inside of us. That´s like saying 8 is real but 4 is not. Dreams or subconscious speak us about inner spectrums we dont need to know; but when the time comes, we will.
I was teaching a class of students on a computuer program. One of the brightest came to me with his poetry, i sought a friendship with him. The result was chaos.
One more thing, I really appreciate you giving this knowledge to the everyday public but what i've found is that your words are completely relative to the people listening, so they really do no not understand unless they are participating in their spiritual practice, i feel like at most words can motivate other to see for themselves rather then actually tell them the truth
@FelixNobody This is very true. It's hard to get people to understand what is outside the box while they are still in it. They have to, figuratively speaking, get out and see it for themselves to fully understand these things - kind of like a personal "AHA!" moment that can rarely be described in words.
During my meditation the other day, i came to the realization that everything is relative, it gave me so much energy because I literally took every deep rooted traumatic thought i had and just made it positive, of corse that like all realizations passed because it was itself completely relative =*/ lol. Love your videos my dude, if i wasn't trying to make it as a rapper I would be doing these videos.
we are here to sense and experience and also we are sensing without being aware of it, all this sensing is being sent some where and stored some where. We are able to come up with ideas or imagine things because we are accessing information from the big data base, the more we practice to access information the more creative we are. this my thought
It's all perspective. Everyone has their own life, everyone has their own views, everyone has their own reality. It's up to you to decide what's real and what's not. Take "crazy" people for example, they see formed images of which others don't see. They believe it's real, who are we to say that they're crazy for it? Reality is your perspective. Believe what you want to believe, that is a part of our gift of choice. But True reality relies in the Truth, and it's enevitable no matter how u see it.
This is one of the most powerful topics you have covered. I love how you spoke on the massive burden we accumulate as we age related to the huge amount of information we synthesize and carry with us. It is our biggest mistake to believe that our interpretation of events and of the world are objective reality. Do you think we can consciously change the way we interpret our realities and events therein in a way that isn't simply surface level, i.e. on a level that we truly assimilate the new view?
@spenc193 yes it is possible and i think it starts by saying and Inner No to the untruths that we might see and then asking for help or guidance on the matter to see things more clearly.
have you read the holographic universe? it's about our thoughts and imaginations really being the exact same thing. It's synchronicity, I'm reading about this and youre speaking about it. SO to answer your question, I believe the collective thoughts of the populous create our realities.Seriously, EVERYTHING you said, is what I'm thinking about fom reading the holographic universe. If we all thought that we could see the past, we would. If we all think we need to lose weight . . . lol
@RawAthlete we do seem to be predisposed to solely focusing on the physical aspects in a very mechanistic point of view. i feel there is much more to reality than this. this seems to make us love the hard styles and the hard paths, when is of course there is always the option of the soft style and soft path.
@herbgardner00 Great point about the soft path. There is a cool documentary called "killer stress" on nat. geo about how after these alpha male baboons died out from tuberculosis, the resulting males were calmer and the society became a truly peaceful one in the world of baboons. The soft path, or the way of the woman, is key to being a developed man.
@herbgardner00 Hey man you know any really good books that are very interesting .. and make you meta cognitive? I'd appreciate ... interesting question you ask
There is no such thing as a real thing, there is no such thing as a real thought, as all exist in all dimensions at all times, simontaniosly. Thereby excluding the possibillity of any ONE thing being real. What you refer to as reality is merely images and sounds presented to you in a accumulated state which after a certain span of time allows to be interpreted by any "sensing" object. 'Allows' in the sense that it reaches a point of possible interpretation by the object.
@herbgardner00 The answer to that lies in your question. By believing it's real. Consciously or unconsciously 99.9% of all people use this method to separate what they believe is real and what is not. So belief carries a heavy burden in the game of reality and non-reality. If you want, you could ask yourself what is actually real in your life. Most things you conceive as real, like your dad and mom, are only real cause you have been told so from a very early age, thereby strengthening ur belief.
can maca powder be made into tea with just hot water and honey ?? or does that not work or taste bad or just not work in general ? and should maca be used raw anyway ?? seems like it should be cooked with or at least eaten hot . heating it would allow more of it to be utilised surely ?
Thanks for this I love it, "the map is not the territory!" I uploaded a video not long ago titled "It's like a finger pointing to the moon" I mention how the great masters endeavoured to teach us of the experience of enlightenment but we would always shoot the messenger and forget what the message was pointing to!?
as for the question, i find it a lot more interesting to inquire into who is the one who is thinking/imagining/interpreting. is he different from the thoughts/interpretation? who is he? that inquiry is the most powerful "thing" in my life.
i'm more interested in reality rather than the interpretations of reality. interpretations are very un-nourishing for me (not to mention plain idiotic and partial).
i lately came across some very real, precious and rare diamonds.
That's an interesting post. Thank you Brandon. and also thank you for all the ancient elixirs you bring to light for the primitive and disconnected westerners. they sure do create a shift in "something". can't really put my finger on it, but something is definitely shifting.
Imagination for me is usually stimulated by my senses..such as smell taste or feeling of an experience...inspiration of fire in water .. rises:)
if the truth is that it's all an illusion...then the beliefs we house can see any contrast as imagination....perhaps to inspire consciousness.Right brain..see's in pictures and left names them.. Then we could speak of how sound and frequency can affect both..So much good awareness coming forth. Thank-you B
They help guide the formation of later similar systems. And finally, a newly forming system "tunes into" a previous system by having within it a "seed" that resonates with a similar seed in the earlier form
Thus everyday thoughts are puppets of telementation, where as imagination is a factor derived from the crown chakra.... Which is a tetra dimensional opening to the helix of quantum particles and visual vortexmathemathic signals of language only picked up by the kunduli microcasm and macro
Creativity is a mystery wherever you encounter it, in the human realm, or in the realm of biological evolution, or of cosmic evolution."
Morphogenetic fields are basically non-physical blueprints that give birth to forms. Morphogenetic fields carry information only, not energy, and are available throughout time and space without any loss of intensity after they have been created.
The whole idea of morphic resonance is evolutionary, but morphic resonance only gives the repetitions. It doesn't give the creativity. So evolution must involve an interplay of creativity and repetition. Creativity gives new forms, new patterns, new ideas, new art forms. And we don't know where creativity comes from. Is it inspired from above? Welling up from below? Picked up from the air? What?
Our thoughts are based on beliefs... Imagination does not require indoctrination where as thoughts require some kind of learning whether good or bad that is subjective.... We do not know anything... to first learn one must first empty the cup and surrender... if you do not know what to surrender to then that could be interpreted to the resonation of the Dao, Krishna, Elohim, the godheads, Brahmin, prayina. But first one must rid themselves of the malas... Which are cosmological-physical burdens
None of these ideas actually come from us,we pick up on them from the universe or god. Yet we create our own reality with these thoughts or ideas through the filter of our individual perceptions. Albert Einstein would always say something like "what thoughts come to me" he would never have said "what ideas i made up"
@herbgardner00 "the map is not the territory" is used in NLP lingo a lot. I have done the whole NLP thing and you have similar speech patterns as someone that has taken the first training.
@RawFoodVeganSungazer that saying is derived from alfred korzybski and general semantics originally. his work is excellent. id like to take some NLP training one day, it seems to be very helpful.
The infinite imagination is our gift from the creature, and we were created as beings to experience a plethora of mental and emotional experiences, it depends on our choices, and life patterns, and paths and what we choose to focus on, the material, finite and trivial egoic aspects(which lead to us being stuck in the karmic wheels), or the infinite imagination, and the higher mind that leads to manifestation/creation of new joyous life patterns :D
It all depends on your state of being, and therefor brain wave patterns, also auric and energetic/spiritual state of being. Sometimes, you are ego dominated, like most people through out the day, and sometimes, like when you meditate, you gain a higher conscious thought process, and may be day dreaming about amazing inventions, weird creatures in dreams we had ect. It's ALL state of mind.
@TheRiffShaman state of mind plays a huge role, but isnt the end all be all. again thoughts are just how we talk about whats happening, and usually the thought is happening after the actual existential event. the feelings and other senses play a huge role i feel.
@herbgardner00 Aw crap did i say mind at the end!? Meant to say BEing lol, like I did at the start of the message haha. State of BEing is much different than state of mind, it is the totality of your presence in existence, feelings and all other variables included, we need to meditate and contemplate our state of being, and balance our selves, let ourselves be a pure channel, when we have all parts of our being (body, mind, spirit balanced with ever present soul)then our minds will work with us.
@TheRiffShaman state of mind plays a huge role, but isnt the end all be all. again thoughts are just how we talk about whats happening, and usually the thought is happening after the actual existential event. the feelings and other senses play a huge role i feel.
I love your videos! you're totally the type of person I'd chill with :). Thanks for the wisdom keep on doing what you're doing. I want to learn more about reishi. It's probably just the winter, but my moods suck! I think it's also from working 40 hours a week at a job that I know I won't do the rest of my life. I subbed to your mailing list, checking out your online store, would love some advice medicine man!
I think, in this day and age, so many humans are forgetting to just be. We are all wrapped up in stimulation, and doing this or that, going here and there, and we forget to listen to our bodies- forgetting that the body and the soul are a team that has been manifested into this physical world by some divininity that none on Earth can understand, to harmonize and work together to make up Life, a being.
We are, and we are all different, but many are losing themselves...
and another thing that kind of goes along with this is something i just now realized. People talk about how its not always just black and white that sometimes there is grey areas and i was thinking fuck grey we have a whole spectrum of light we have blue green yellow and millions of more colors. without all of these colors the world wouldn't function the same we need to accept all of the colors as a their purpose in the whole.
i had this discovery like a month ago and i have really been thinking about it and really trying to put more intention behind my words and thoughts. it really helps with people interpreting how real you are and understanding you. i like take a word or a thought and i focus on feeling the feeling that i want them to feel from my words then i talk after i have that intention and feeling circulating.
@herbgardner00 your welcome! i wouldn't have had that thought if it wasn't for getting your audio courses and taking the herbs that you recommend and taking your advice. your a freaking genius man. thanks for all the stuff that you put up and all the stuff that you distribute to the world. i used to be really inconsistent and hollow but since you turned me on to reishi and goji and all of the chinese medicine im starting to get more grounded, spiritual, creative and its really changed my life.
You've never pulled a wild word out of the ground?
I feel like most of the human race is in a left brain fog which is disconnecting us from our true selves and our true potential. We have created this illusion of what we "think we are" and given us and everything around us labels and definitions that are very subjective--leading to all kinds of interpretations. When we re-connect with our imagination, intuition, creativity and joy as a race--our reality won't be so rigid.
I have recently noticed that people are not even aware of their programming and are not even aware that they are suffering... this is true what you are saying I am very aware of that but unfortunately being aware of it doesn't change the reality of it either
I am an eight legged unicorn.

as for the question, i find it a lot more interesting to inquire into who is the one who is thinking/imagining/interpreting. is he different from the thoughts/interpretation? who is he? that inquiry is the most powerful "thing" in my life.
i'm more interested in reality rather than the interpretations of reality. interpretations are very un-nourishing for me (not to mention plain idiotic and partial).
i lately came across some very real, precious and rare diamonds.

That's an interesting post. Thank you Brandon. and also thank you for all the ancient elixirs you bring to light for the primitive and disconnected westerners. they sure do create a shift in "something". can't really put my finger on it, but something is definitely shifting.

Hey Brandon, Good To You ....OK a stream..)

Childrenguild 1 year ago
The whole idea of morphic resonance is evolutionary, but morphic resonance only gives the repetitions. It doesn't give the creativity. So evolution must involve an interplay of creativity and repetition. Creativity gives new forms, new patterns, new ideas, new art forms. And we don't know where creativity comes from. Is it inspired from above? Welling up from below? Picked up from the air? What?
Childrenguild 1 year ago

@RawFoodVeganSungazer no, why do you ask?
herbgardner00 1 year ago
@herbgardner00 "the map is not the territory" is used in NLP lingo a lot. I have done the whole NLP thing and you have similar speech patterns as someone that has taken the first training.
RawFoodVeganSungazer 1 year ago

TheRiffShaman 1 year ago
It all depends on your state of being, and therefor brain wave patterns, also auric and energetic/spiritual state of being. Sometimes, you are ego dominated, like most people through out the day, and sometimes, like when you meditate, you gain a higher conscious thought process, and may be day dreaming about amazing inventions, weird creatures in dreams we had ect. It's ALL state of mind.
TheRiffShaman 1 year ago
@TheRiffShaman state of mind plays a huge role, but isnt the end all be all. again thoughts are just how we talk about whats happening, and usually the thought is happening after the actual existential event. the feelings and other senses play a huge role i feel.
herbgardner00 1 year ago
@herbgardner00 Aw crap did i say mind at the end!? Meant to say BEing lol, like I did at the start of the message haha. State of BEing is much different than state of mind, it is the totality of your presence in existence, feelings and all other variables included, we need to meditate and contemplate our state of being, and balance our selves, let ourselves be a pure channel, when we have all parts of our being (body, mind, spirit balanced with ever present soul)then our minds will work with us.

...where's my profit?
TwistedBarney 1 year ago

DanielStacy 1 year ago
@DanielStacy the spectrum is infinite :)

i had this discovery like a month ago and i have really been thinking about it and really trying to put more intention behind my words and thoughts. it really helps with people interpreting how real you are and understanding you. i like take a word or a thought and i focus on feeling the feeling that i want them to feel from my words then i talk after i have that intention and feeling circulating.
DanielStacy 1 year ago
@DanielStacy thats a really good point, which i will apply in my own. thanks for that!

When we re-connect with our imagination, intuition, creativity and joy as a race--our reality won't be so rigid.
godzpark 1 year ago
@godzpark i agree, connecting w. these dormant abilities really tends to make reality more flexible.

I have recently noticed that people are not even aware of their programming and are not even aware that they are suffering... this is true what you are saying I am very aware of that but unfortunately being aware of it doesn't change the reality of it either

@DaoJournik awareness is an important step though.
