  • Better times !!

  • I have come to realize how I am the only student at my school that still listens to 650 AM: WSM! Much less the only one who even knows exists! While others are listening to rap, I'm listening to Porter Wagoner on "The Legend"... the station that started the Opry. What is this world coming to?

  • love this so much, just wish the sound was synched better :((

  • Fantastic song - Thank youMegaasaurusRex101

  • I grew up in the late 50's watching the Cousin Herb Show out of Bakersfield with my granny each afternoon. "Y'all Come" was the theme song.

  • Thanks for posting this! My Father Arlie Duff wrote and recorded this song. It has been recorded by Bing Crosby, Glenn Campbell, Dolly, Porter, and so many others. You have honored my Father by posting it, thank you so much. -Joey Duff

  • @scarplace No problem, my pleasure. It is a fantastic song. And one of my friend's favorite to boot. I especially enjoyed the version on I Love Lucy.

  • @scarplace It's made its mark ! I know a little 85 yrold Honky-Tonk,I mean little, that uses"ya'll come" for a theme song,to start the House Band, and closing song.

  • Carter Sisters!

  • Thanks for sharing!

  • I love this video I got to stand On that stage and play my banjo and I dont get nervous on stage.... BUT I DID ON THAT ONE I LOVE THE GRAND OLE OPRY

  • Never has been, and never will be, more talent assembled under one roof as the Grand Ole' Opry Stage back then!

  • Is their anywyas you can up load the rest? where they dance?!

  • Im a big fan of I love lucy, and June Carter along with Johnny Cash, and people like them.

and Lucy & everyone sang this with Tenesees Ernie Ford, and i just happen to come across it here!

    THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!

  • awesome!!

  • who's the pretty blonde lady and two guys singing after the carter sisters?

  • Its nice to see people wearing clean outfits and nice threads...

  • reply to itabena nov 21, 2008

the "pretty blonde" is goldie hill with the wilbur brothers

  • She's Goldie Hill...

  • to cartersister4

u have intriged me with your statement of indentity, any other tid bits that might further prove your related to probably the most important American family that has ever walked the plant? If it is true, what a responsiblity I would feel to have such a strong, tough, honest background in my blood to keep the old family traditions and stories alive for other generations and what guilt I would have if I failed to meet my anestors expectations.....

  • XD faron has a death grip on on June's hand

  • Anita was my grandmother. the reason my name is Carter Sister "4" is because grandma anita always referred to me as the fourth carter sister , so did auntie june and auntie helen. Anita's real name is Ina Anita Carter for anyone who didnt know

  • That is information most true fans know, do you have anything else?

  • I love the Carters! I was just at the Carter Fold last summer, and we had a blast! It still is one place to hear good, country music like this. Faron is great too, so good looking.

  • Gee, and all these years I thought Jimmie Osborne wrote it.

  • oh,man! DO american people love lolitas screaming!

    :p

  • man, DO american people love lolita screaming!

    :p

  • I find it interesting that two people on here claim to be Duff children...but one spell's "their dad's" name Arlie and the other one spells it Arleigh? LOL !!!

  • Arleigh was the original spelling, he shortened it to Arlie when he recorded Y'All Come, (or the original "You All Come") Dad had nine children, so finding one or two posting isn't so odd, is it?

  • now this is country music

  • My Dad (Arlie Duff) wrote this song and sang it at the Opry, I wish there was a video of him performing it on You Tube, but this one is great!

  • i think mother mabline is on the bass witch isnt a shock that she cud play

  • That's not Mother Maybelle, it's Becky Bowman. She would play with the Carter Sisters as a fill in in case one of them was sick or couldn't make a performance. Mother Maybelle is the woman who is in the green skirt standing next to June.

  • thanks alot wow its hard to tell em apart with thier same hair cuts and sim dresses

  • one more thing so the carter fam has no upright basss in thier group check the old ''lazy day'' clip ull see my confusian

  • Anita usually played the upright bass. Becky Bowman would act as a standin for whatever instrument wasn't there. I think she could also play banjo, accordian and guitar.

  • The opry aint't like this anymore.

These were the simple, fun, happy days.

  • I was just at the opry last tuesday and Porter sang this. I was so excited!!!

  • Hi, I'm another one of Arleigh's kids. I'm amazed their still singing it! Someone needs to redo that song!!!

  • No one appreciates good wholesome music such as this anymore. Its sad.

  • This video is amazing lol

  • love it love it love it!!! thanks for the description haha
