  • "They say even the proudest of souls can be won with love." Its creepy how meaningful she sounds but we still know she is evil.

  • first time i saw this movie, i actually thought the other mother was just some dream and a kind woman who Coraline would be with till she was too old. kinda like Timmy Turner losing his Godparents when he was too old for them.

then she was all "buttons in your eyes" and i was like "oh hell nah"

  • there's a coraline book?! oh hell no thats fucked up (still love it)

  • They say even the proudest of spirits can be broken...with love.

  • One.

    TWO.

    THREEEEEEE!!!!

Loved that part. It was so creepy. :)

  • the song after is ghost children

  • From Zanzibar.

  • @pinkgoth6 It's not Zanzibar. It's Zaaaaaaaaaaaahnzebahr.

    :3

  • The dislikers got their spirits broken... With love

  • I no longer believe that even the proudest spirit could be broken. Even with love.

  • I want to go to Zanzabar....

  • "They say that even the proudest spirit can be broken with love...."

  • 'they're cocobeetles, from Zanzibar!'

  • Apoligize at once! Coraline!

    NO!

I'll give you tot he count of three

    (folds arms)

One..... (changes slowly) ....Two (finishes changing) THREE!!!!!!

OW! What r u doing!!! Ow that hurts!!!!

(throws Coraline in the mirror) You may come out when you've learned to be a loving Daughter!

  • The book was SUPER creepy!!!!!!!!

  • what was funny the other day i was watching coraline while talking to my boyfriend on the phone and when the other mother threw coraline into the mirror, and when coraline is panting and stuff, i put the phone up to the speaker and he was like"what was that?!?" lol

  • I love when the other mother gets angry while eating the cocobeetle and flicks it away. XD

  • cocobeetles frm zanzibar!

  • To be honest,The other mother is the best villian, cause she teaches kids a lesson that they cant get everything that they want!

  • They're COCOBEETLES! From ZAAANZIBAH! 8D

  • They're cocobeetles! From Zanzabar.

  • I loveeeeeeeeeee Coraline i saw her movie and i read her book and now i am reading it again I love you Coralie!!!!!!!!!! But the movie and the book freaks me out but still love it!!! By the way SakuraJurai thanks for oploading these songs from Coraline.

  • I just realized this is like a twisted, creepier, darker version of "The Supper" at one part, in the middle

  • LOL! This scene scared one of the kids @ my mother's daycare. I don't blame him!

  • (1:08) Beldam: I'll give you to the count of three.

    Coraline: ...

    Beldam: One..

(1:15) Beldam: Two... *grows into monster*

    Beldam: Three!

(1:20) *grabs Coraline and locks in her room*

(1:27) Beldam: You may come out, when you've learned to be a LOVING daughter.

  • Creepy, the Other Mother eats only things that are ALIVE, right?

  • this part in the movie creeps me out...*shudders* but awesome film nonetheless

  • no matter how many times i watch the film it still creeps me out

  • this movie is a bit scary o.O

  • @Flow3rFac3 The book is much scarier.

  • @JessicaJawface I loved the book when I was younger but it gave me nightmares. lol

  • the book was awsome it almost made me pee

  • @JessicaJawface The book freaks me out... I am just a kid too, so imagine me reading it xD

  • @JessicaJawface i want to read the book XD

  • ☻_☻: Even the PROUDEST spirits can be broken... with love- of course, chocolate never hurts.

(Other Mother shows Coraline a box of beetles)

☻_☻: Like one? ... They're COCOA beetles from Zannnzibar.

    (Other Mother crunches a beetle)

    (Coraline cringes)

Coraline: I want to be with my REAL mom and dad! I want you to let me go!

☻_☻: Is that ANY way to speak to your mother?

    Coraline: You're... not... my mother.

  • In the book, the beetles was kept in a paper bag

In the film, it was kept in a box.

  • the beetles are not chocolate in the book >_>

    *CRUNCH!*

  • They're not real chocolate in the film either !

  • They're...They--They are real beetles! OMG

  • Of course they're not real beetles. The Other Mother is really an old spider who feeds on children and bugs. She's just having a snack so she won't be too hungry when she eats Coraline. But since she didn't get to eat Coraline, all she has left to do is die in her unwinding parallel universe.

  • @PurpleMysticDew Well in the book shes called 'The Bedlam' which means 'The Old Woman'. Gaiman doesn't really say what she is, just that she feeds of the souls of children she traps.

  • YO I HAD A STRANGE DREAM ABOUT THIS im in my room everything goes dark and im in the chair with the other mother i no wats gonna happen so i book it to the door and I go through the door then she grabs the door and tries to pull me in but my friends HELL EVEN goku and vegeta pull me in then she starts freaking out we lock it and vegeta hits me and i wake up and i think WOW WTF JUST HAPPENED weird right

  • you subconciously hate your mother and use your fantasies to get away from her.

  • @gosmokesome umm sick one dude umm ill answer 2 of those questions for u no and no

  • @Stife9000 yeak thats wierd, all right. Sounds like a scary dream, too.

  • Other Mother: "They say even the proudest spirits can be broken... with love. Of course, chocolate never hurts [chuckles], like one? They're cocobeetles, from Zanzibar."

  • Other Mother: Of course, chocolate nver hurts, like one?

    Me: sure I'll have one!!

    *took a bite*

    Me: ...O_o...WTH!! THESE AREN'T CHOCOLATE!!!!

*splattered it all over everyone who has commented*

    Me: O_O oh god..

    ICaryGuy5: WTH!!!

    imageez: GRRRR!!

    Me: *ran away*

  • haha there's me. i just got cocobeetles splattered all over me ⚉☠⚉

  • XD O_O good! you're not going to kill me.

  • No no, you have to stretch the word:

    Zzzzzaaaaaaanzzzziiibaaaaaarrr

    ^_^

  • Mm...Cocobeatles, if they didn't move, alive, or they have crunchy taste, I will eat it! (anyone feels coco beatles and coco roaches is kinda same?)

  • Already this single track reminds me: this is not a movie for children of 6 years age!

BUT I just love it, it's great art

  • Well, I think they made it so it would reflect how children make their decisions.

  • This song is wierd

  • ZANZIBAAAR!!

  • Anyone notice how this songs sounds just like 'The supper' but in a higher and more darker pitch?

  • Makes sense: They are eating after all(the Other Mother anyway), but this is after Coraline has figured out the truth and everything is not how it seems.

  • they're COCOA BEETLES from ZANZIBAR

  • .....is it wierd that im tempted to eat one those cocobeetles?

  • Naw. The insides of them look like the stuff inside of 3 muskateer(sp?) bars, only with a more carmel feel....

  • Like how Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory spawned an ACTUAL Wonka candy line, so too must someone sell nugat/caramel "cocobeetles". >:D

  • the part where she ate bugs in the book and the movie both really really creeped me out.

    o.o

  • I found this comment b4. I just don't know where.

    Beldum: Apologize, at once, Coraline!

    Coraline: No!

    Beldum: APOLOGIZE!

    Coraline: NO!

    Beldum: APOLOGIZE!

    Coraline: NO!

    Beldum: BANANA CREAM PIE!!

    Coraline:....O_o

  • Roflmao what?

  • what? I like randomness.

  • I like Banana Cream Pie. It's good.

  • *raspberry at catwarriorsrocks*

    MY BANANA CREAM PIE!

Beldum: *took it away while I'm not looking*

    Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! RAWR!

  • @MoonlightSkelet0n LOL Funny

  • @MoonlightSkelet0n okay... that made me lol so hard

  • I don't want to visit Zanzibar anymore

  • yeah I don't wanna visit there anymore ether.... O_O

  • cocobeetles from zanzibar

  • Zanzzzzzzziiiiibaaaaaar!

  • creepy

  • I may have only read the comic book version, but I'm pretty sure that when the other mother was eating beetles (not cocobeetles, I afraid), Coraline called her "sick, evil and wierd". Near the end, it was as though a spider describing all those things just started squirming and then jumping out of the skin of a seemingly affectionate mother.

  • They're cocobeatles, from Zanzzzziiiiiibaaar! xDD

I love how she said that.

  • sm lol

  • lol Seriously I think I've saved all of these tracks to my favorites. They're all so good!

  • That would be awesome!!!!!!!

  • i could listen to this all night with my eyes wide open thinking about what would happen if i went into another world.

  • whaaaat? i don't remember the other father trying to eat her.... Didnt he help her? In fact...He was the one who gave her the first ghosts eye && said something like "don't wanna hurt you...other mother making me..." and then dissapeared into the ground... :O

  • the scene that greatingsearthings was taking about was taken out of the movie probably because it was too graphic or something, the only you were talking about was in the movie.

    (directed at DeannaStarr43)

  • The Other Father actually loved Coraline and wanted to be her friend. Here's what he said. Imagine the scene while reading:

    "Sorry..."

    "So sorry..."

    "Mother ma-king me..."

    "Don't wanna hurt you..."

    (tractor falls into bridge)

    "Heeeere... take..."

(Other Father throws Coraline the ghost eye)

    "Nooooooooooo..."

    (Other Father drowns in pond)

  • @PurpleMysticDew thats the thing every one exept mother and mister b loved her

  • @PurpleMysticDew i was like almost crying in that part =[

    soooooooooo saaaaad

  • @PurpleMysticDew

And that's why the other father and the other other father are awesome.

  • @PurpleMysticDew thank you for putting that up i almost forgot that he wanted to help her.....

  • @PurpleMysticDew I feel so sorry for him ☻_☻

  • @PurpleMysticDew In the book, the other father doesn't drown. I don't remember what happened to him that much but i think he was killed by the other mother. ... Shit i really don't remember. Did i really read it?

  • @smartercat no the Beldum actually makes Coraline's other father a huge scary worm maggot thingy with a huge mouth when Coraline's trying to find the ghost children's eyes. The other mother purposely sent Coraline into the room with the other father so she wouldn't escape, but Coraline did by shutting that room closed and running out of there. I don't think the other father appears since.....

  • @Minwolv Is Beldum the other mother's name, because it doesn't actually mention it in the movie?

  • @Finalfantasyfreakout no it does mention it in the movie. the ghost children say the other mother's name when coraline is thrown inside the mirror.

  • @Minwolv I looked it up after I typed up my last comment and it's not her name, it's another word for a women who likes to abuse children, or can mean "Hag!" (The true way to spell it is Beldam, just saying!) It was explained on the movies page on Wikipedia! Thanks anway! =)

  • @PurpleMysticDew It was about ten times scarier in the book, with the clay-ish Other Father. Unfortunately, I believe that chapter actually hadn't been written when production of the movie started. Same reason Coraline looks different in the book and film, the illustrations hadn't been made yet.

  • @PurpleMysticDew I can't believe he did! Oh I wish he didn't team up with the beldum.... O_O

  • @rocksinger1232 he didn't team up with her. she created him. he had no choice. he was her slave

  • @tangally Oh yeah.

  • @PurpleMysticDew I guess part of the Other Mother/ Beldam's undoing was when she made all the people in the Other world, she made them a little TOO accurate to real life. Thus, Other Father and Other Wybie both cared for Coraline as much as their real life counterparts did, and thus felt the need to help save her.

  • Beldum: They say even the proudest of spirits can be broke....with love

    (pause)

Of course chocolate never hurts, want one?

    Coraline: O_o

    Beldum: They're cocobeatles from Zanzibar

    (took a bite)

  • from zanzzzzzzzzibar lol

  • I love this kind of music, it's my lullaby when I go to sleep.

  • this is your lullaby??? id like be petrified in my bed if i listened to this at night... oh ha ha by the way... its 9:43... oops... lol

  • why would you be petrified? I find it very soothing.

  • kinda me too

  • And anyway pogeums, when I was a baby, I had a black music box with an undead, rotting ballerina inside. And it plays such soothing melodies

  • Oooohhhh!!!

    Sounds delightful! ^^

  • I absolutely LOVED this movie!!

And the soundtrack is super creepy but I love it!

  • ooh creepy :D loved that film, when we were watchin it the other father changed into like a freaky ol dman thing and my friend shouted out ''it's mr sandford'' that's my dt teacher lol xx

  • its scary-er in the book belive me

  • Actually, I found the movie scarier.

I'm not saying the book was bad or anything, but I handled a lot of scenes better in the book then in the movie. xD

... I still can't sleep at night though.

  • I feel they each have their strong-points. I thought this scene was better in the book, because of its graphic description of the Other Mother eating the beetle.

  • that is going to scar me

  • listen you can hear a little bit of end credits just listen closely

  • Other Mother :They're cocobeetles... from ZAAAANZIBAR! :D

    Me: O_o' no comment. Yech.

  • I've made a story where a guy is obsessed with spiders, and he likes to eat the spiders 2; I saw this part of the movie & like had a rave lol

  • ''they're cocobeetles!from..ZAAAANZIBAR .''

facial expression on Other Mothers face while saying that- :D!

    Coralines'-:|?

  • yea I thought the book was alot better "scarey" wise... :/

especially when she's trying to find the ghost children's souls :PP

  • Yeah the book was pretty different from the movie but I loved both anyway! What scene was this anyway? It sounds like I know it, but I can't get my mind on the scene!!

  • this is the scean when coraline wants to go home and confrontimg other mother, but she says"is that anyway to talk to your mother",and gets ticked off about coraline's behaveor, and answer

  • They're cocobeetles, from ZANZABAR!

  • ...from ZANZIBAR!

  • ROFL

  • I had the scene when the Other Mother started to turn into the scary form playing on my TV and my little Half-Sister started to cry.

  • This is the second most scariest part, the most scariest part would have to be the ending. This movie remindes me soooo much of my favorite game psychonauts!

  • OH GOD! Psychonauts is AMAZING!!!!!!

  • Damn right!

  • I didn't really find this scene that scary but looked at it as cool. A creepy part is when she gets the first ghost ball soul thing (lol) and it shows her looking through the green thing and then all of a sudden the pumpkin father pops outta nowhere. But the ending is the most wow part. Pretty demented movie.....

  • hell yes, the pumpkin father was a freak o.o i was like WTF!?

  • I know! ugh this movie was just so friggin fun to watch, especially in 3-D! Another one of my favorite parts is when in the theatre, the light shines on the candy shaped paper. I was SO curious just what is in it. "EEEEE!!! GIVE it back... GIVE IT BACK!!!" So awesome.

  • That is nothing compared to the book. In the book, there was no garden. Instead the Other Mother pretends to help Coraline and tricks her into going into the Other Father's area and she had turned him into this white maggot like thing. Then the Other Mother manipulated him into attacking Coraline, who had no choice but to gash his eyes out if I remember correctly. He did not want to hurt her in the novel either, but the scene was more intense in the novel. Would have made the film super dark.

  • Damn!! that would have been so awesome! to bad thats not in the movie. Geez now you got me kind of wanting to read the book now, AND IM A 17 YEAR OLD BOY!! Just goes to show how awesome Coraline is.

  • And I'm in college. Read it, its a good book no mater your age. If you're clever you might even get all the references and things that are hinted at throughout the book.

  • the book is ten time scarier!!

  • ya i know i love when the other father is chaseing her up the stairs lol

  • Scaryy!!!!!!!

But i still love it. I loost the book but i think i wanna go buy it again

  • y was other father chasing her

  • i bought that gaqme and it didn't work. I took it back but couldn't get a full refund. :P

    Damn You GAMESTOP!!!!!

  • You know what they say, even the proudest spirit can be brocken, with love. i liked that part

  • they say eeven the proudest spirit can be broken, with love. of course, chocolate, never hurts! want one? theyre cocoa beetles, from zanzabar! i want to be with my real mom and dad! i want you to let me go! is that any way to talk to your mother? you arent my mother! apologize at once! no! ill give you to the count of 3! 1, 2, 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can come out when you learn to be a loving daughter! hush and shush! for the beldam mightbe listening! you, you mean the other mother?

  • how the hell do you have that whole scene memorized?? seriously??

  • i watched it like ten times thats how!

  • Aw, crud! I only watched it three times. :(
