For Mexican commentators who always asked more Guevara when she was the best athlete of men and women who had success in Mexico, they always put on top the country in the podiums and which is in the Top 10 the best specialists of the test.

Something no other athlete, much less the failed soccer has succeeded

I do really miss these races. 2004 and 2005 were great seasons for the 400m with the rivalry between Ana and Tonique and later between Tonique and Sanya. They went out really confronting and pushing each other, therefore races were close and exciting. Since 2006 Richards has been so dominating. There's simply no one single athlete capable to step up. There's been many years we haven't seen races like this. Thanks for posting

@Oberonification I really like these 2004 races a lot, and the ones from 2005 too, theres one race from 05 that ive been looking for a lot, in that race sanya won with 48.92 and tonique with 49.30 and it was a real battle, too. @blueeboy1988 Yeah !!! I've been looking after that race too. Unfortunately I haven't been succesful :-( Howerver, I have a nice front pic at the finish line I found somewhere which I can share, just tell me. Another superfast even closer race of those times is 2002 Guevara (49.25) vs Fenton (49.30) in Monaco !!!

Tonique is a great competitor and was always respectful to Ana ad viceversa. About this race she said she was very nervious (she was running for half a milion), that Ana had never put her head down and when she wore this suits "a la Freeman" that meant she was really going to run fast. After the race she said at 300m she really thought she was gonna lose it. Luckely for her, she won and actually broke her own National Record, which remaines untouched up to date.
