I realize this is supposed to imitate the Russian instrument balalaika but it sounds like French accordion to me; this is a wistful, romantic, nostalgic melody that evokes long lost love...always one of my favorites

Iv'e seen this movie when I was a kid back in P.I. lots of years I found myself in Vladivostok and I was in a tavern, I told the the lady on the piano that Iv'e seen the movie DR. Shivago, I dont think she know what I was talkin about anyway she played this tune and it was a wonder full experience.

Deciding that Fascism was the worst, he became a Communist for the rest of his life, I still don't understand why he loved this film so much, but the music always reminds me of him.

We must think about Tonya. She had a wonderful character in this wonderful film as a wife. I wonder if she, Geraldine Chaplin, in peoples mind, always thought her part in the movie to be herself in her private life that it reality of course was not.. Just because Lara and Tonya happened to be two of the most wellknown characters in film history. As JC played her part so good, GC also did.
This is the best arrangement I ever heard of this music.
I believe this is the last time they get together, ( If I can remember correctly ) until in the bus where he saw Lara walking in the street years later. He gets off the bus trying to catch up with her, but he got heart attack without Lara by his side.
This scene makes me cry all the time each time I saw this part of the movie.

Anybody know who the artist or the orchestra that is playing this music? There are so many versions of Dr. Zhivago (Lara's Theme) out there but this is the best one I've heard so far. I need to know so I can download it to my Ipod. Help!

Both my maternal Grandfathers who I never met (because of both world wars looks so much like Mr. Shariff. Words cannot describe the height of emotions

We must think about Tonya. She had a wonderful character in this wonderful film as a wife. I wonder if she, Geraldine Chaplin, in peoples mind, always thought her part in the movie to be herself in her private life that it reality of course was not.. Just because Lara and Tonya happened to be two of the most wellknown characters in film history. As JC played her part so good, GC also did.

This is the best arrangement I ever heard of this music.
I believe this is the last time they get together, ( If I can remember correctly ) until in the bus where he saw Lara walking in the street years later. He gets off the bus trying to catch up with her, but he got heart attack without Lara by his side.
This scene makes me cry all the time each time I saw this part of the movie.
