@Aurelius27x Visual dynamic may be good for teaching and demonstating a point but it's what one hears that matters. When it comes to recordings the visuals won't help and in performance they are often off-putting.

This boy is the Dutch violinist Mathieu van Bellen, so not Joshua Bell :-). He was here about 15 years old, now he is 20. You can also see him play the Shostakovich Violin Concerto with orchestra on Youtube.

Probably silly if you don't understand the musical emotions being transmitted. In a way it takes some talent on the viewers end to appreciate how good he is in both playing and conveying the emotions attached to music.

undoubtedly the greatest violinist of our time. Unlike others like Midori or Gilles Apap, Vengerov plays with passion to the extent that I actually lose how much of the music is written, and how much is his style. He just.. I don't know. becomes the music, I guess. Music is his life, but he's not one of those musicians who have let music consmue their life. Big difference. He still has a sense of humanity and humilty about him. <3 this guy!
