  • Brockwell Park - what a memory! Stay in tune, suckers.

  • I don't know if he went out of tune. Sounds like he started in the wrong key and then corrected.

  • "they gave awy our freedom in the name of liberty"

    "don´t believe them don´t get bidden 2wice"

    ...but they still do

fuck the political class , don´t vote

  • Great band, same standard as the Ruts

  • saw them at hammersmith palias back in 79 and have tickets to see them in london in 2009 lol still rocking on

  • how did he knock that out????? the guitar was in off key E & that song is a very simple F . heat most likely loosened it a tad

  • hahha that awesome you can hear him go out of tune!

  • I saw them in a little club in San Francisco in 79 or 80; They blew the place apart -- one of the best bands ever seen.

  • there is something rong with his guitar.

    but there is no stopping!!!!

  • saw em live in brum odeon, digbeth civic and other venues...no better band live!!!

  • awsome song

  • Absolte class. I have seen them live, but unfortunatly on one of their comeback tours, with bruce foxton from the jam playing bass.

  • Yeah, they played it when I saw them about four years ago.

  • LOL, did you watch the movie high fidelty?

  • That is a cool story .SLF was my first ever gig, at the Kilburn NAtional Ballroom , all be it on thier first come back, great band .

  • That was also my first gig, was an amazing night, 17th December 1987, seen them many times since, but only brixton acamedy the next year came close to being as good

  • was 15 and sitting on the fench that day kicking the pathetique hippy security guards, about 10 dub bands on in baking heat, SLF came on and it exploded

I ended up on the stage sitting there after a set cut short due to the safety fence getting mashed up

Hung out with SLF a bit

Them and the clash rocked it

    Rudi were cool too

  • Thats me at2.31 next to the black bloke with black spikey hair filth t-shirt donkey jacket

    ha ha ha

  • Mad that the first time I searched SLF on youtube this vid came up, and as I sit here I am overlooking Brockwell Park from my house! What are the chances?

  • Brilliant, those were the days. Wish the bass was better...

  • Long live Norn Irish punk!! Stiff Little Fingers, The Outcasts, Rudi, The Undertones!!!

  • yea there an amazin band but only 1 problem they are gettin older which is no bad thing in itself but people my age (16) r still growin up listinin to them and their gonna stop doin gigs some time so thts gonna suck but anyhoo love these guys and im proud there from northern ireland

  • i love the old punk. everyone was themselves, now you got bands copying people.

  • the best band in the world. theres a song called half a life away that i heard it took me ages to find it again but i got it. its on my channel if you want to listen

    exellent band

  • 0857761520

  • I went to this, but left early as the band cut their set short due to dick heads throwing cans and bottles at the stage. I was quite far back when some twat behind me lobbed a large glass cider bottle forward, with there been no chance of it reaching the stage, to see it shatter on the back of some poor buggers head a few feet away. That could have killed him.

  • fantasic band until about 1982 . went to see em a few months back , and they were wearing slippers backstage !! says it all really

  • SLF were ace - despite the smartarse critics!

    Jake is an immense singer!

  • An Irish punk band ranting on about the troubles-cheesy.

  • wat a classic punk song and wat a legendary band. This footage kind of reminds me of the Clash at rock against racsim on the Rude Boy film

  • they were inspired by the clash

  • as were most of the "Punk" bands of the time. Jake Burn's main influences were actually reggae bands,

  • Cor!

SLF were the openers. The Clash, yawn, cheapskates as usual still owe em money.

  • 'KIN SUPERB! The Go For it tour (1980's) was fantastic...top band

  • breathtaking, and I'm going to see them on 18th Dec!!

  • for orig punk records go to stoopidrec dot gemm dot c o m

  • Geez when the crowd barrier collapses at the end... :o

    Excellent clip, thanks for posting

  • one of the best songs.
