  • Plug your School here. NYC School???

  • Hey AV it's Gamal. I met you at a bar in the EV a few nights ago. This is really good work.

  • Your observations are right on.

  • yo, i got a question-why YA SO WATSED?

  • A solid message, well said. A fine job.

  • Thank you, Babaungus. :)

  • This is amazing the way u put it 2 the .

it would be great if i could post this positive message on my channel plz let me know.

    Sky

  • this is one of my favs!

  • glad i found your channel

  • Good job! It must be very cool in East village.

In south italy, dogs ans cats are ill-treated. It's very sad.

  • fine B&W work, congrats *****

  • You KNOW I love the East Village! It's definately a great place to connect with people!

Your video-making is taking a definate direction. I'm really diggin' it! :)

  • Amazing --- totally awesome!

  • great camera work, editing and sound

    thanks

    Love, Jess

    WeR1! WEAREEARTH

  • Thank you, tdktv. For a day when I had nothing to do, turned out pretty fun!

  • This was great. Love the footage, love the commentary, dig the style. 5 stars my friend.

  • Right on! I appreciate the kind words, beachbratbotuique, and I must say, LOVE your username. That's really cool when you say it out loud!

  • well done

  • Thanks!

  • Great work indeed! An important message! I got your signs! I presently live in an over the railroad housing coop, it's not easy, but peaceful complicity when it happen's is such a beautiful Human revelation! Merci!

  • COOL you saw the sign! It's more hidden than I thought it would be, probably due to the black and white vid. The rhythm of the train has it's own power. I have trains on both sides of my apartment, each about one block away. I hardly notice them unless I am using them, but I like that they are reliable. Thanks for checking this out, Boucrate.

  • Where I live I'm surrounded by trains, I almost live in a train ward lol! I adore them, they are cool, and one of our way back to a more respectable way of living. Merci et salut.

  • This is an awesome video with great insight.

  • I appreciate you saying so, and thank you for the nice comment on my channel page. :)

  • Well done!

  • Thanks!

  • that was class, i loved it

  • Thank you! Nice meeting you the other night by the way.

  • Inspiring thoughts so full of truth.

  • Thank you, man. And thanks for checking out the other new vids. I saw the new bludolf vid that you inspired. Great stuff there. Good to see you again. You been away from the tube for a bit?

  • you're the man now dog

  • you're the dog now, man!

  • Hey thats a lot of dogs. Great works AV. I wonder if the aphid feels vulnerable and I wonder how we are percieved by them - we probably move so slowly they think we are psychdelic trees!

  • Those dogs are so funny. They don't care that they are with lots of different kinds of dogs, they just want to play! ME TOO!

  • hello lamp post what cha doin... come ta watch those flowers bloomin - know ya got some rhyme 4 me ... lookin 4 Love n feeling groovy ...

    now will watch.

    yellow!!!

    LoL

  • ha ha, I love your poem!

  • Most Excellent video AVDJ:))) Its all about community. We can make it strong if we want to!!!PEACE!!!

  • Well said :)

  • Thanks, sistermoonshine! I am excited to see what lies down the road for our group of friends here on the tube. True, times are changing, but the changes are good. We tend to stay under the surface of things in the internet hierachy, but I think that is where we want to be.

  • wow dude your vids just get better n better I swear! next vid you bring out send me a pm so I dont miss it ;) great words and very very well filmed! love it!

  • Thank you, effects69! I have been enjoying this push. I want to continue in this style, and maybe it will unlock some new mode for me. So far, so good, and it is wonderful to hear such positive words from friends.

  • I just love your videos- you put them together so creatively while showing a bit of yourself, too.

  • Thank you, Elphy! I am having so much fun trying to work a bit of "me" into these without losing the focus. I'm not one to stand in front of the camera, but this is a good way to say hi to my friends, through my videos, and let them see me a little more.

  • I love these "documental" videos you're making man, love that little ant and the sounds are wicked!

  • I sure do have fun with documentary-styles. I wish I had a job where I could make this kind of stuff. But it is good enough for me as an excuse to explore, and the voice-over stuff gives me some options I never had before. Thanks always for the support, bro. You really do make this tubin' fun.

  • Artistic

  • Thanks, Reverseflush! (That is a really cool username too!)

  • cool man! hey nice song too from before man it came out really well!

  • Thank you. I am still working on that song. I think might release it after all, thanks to your encouragement and help. I couldn't have done it without your advice.

  • cool man i think it could be a real cool vid. go for it!

  • yO Brownage! so the you know what is you know where... hey Scott! this is a beautiful piece work; just came by for seconds, or maybe its thirds.

    peACE!

  • Hey man, well done on 750 views in 4 days,I like these observational videos of yours more and more, keep it up with the bugs and insects, dogs are cool too!

  • Yeah, the views go up pretty quick these days, but I think that is mainly due to the Partnership account, which provides me with an autoplay function on the channel page. I am shooting more stuff in this vein, but probably will move away from the bugs, and on to the helicopters. I have some really good helicopter shots in the can!

  • great work, nice video.

    saludos!

  • Thanks, bentrece!

  • Great video and message! Please join our group a World United and add this video. :o)

    Peace!

  • Will do, minstral2!

  • I made a video response and it may see at first like it has nothing to do with your video but in reality it truly has everything to do with your video

    Seriously, Best Yet!

  • You can tell he has a plan and he took his time, really made art/film/viral video. He just has a way of making you feel it.

  • I have just been messing about so much on YT and not really saying anything, but after watching this I feel my mojo coming back. Love your camera work bro.

Peace to you and thanks for the inspiration.

  • AVDJ Is Extremely Inspiring I Wholeheartedly Agree!!! Fuck Yeah!!

  • I sure was glad to get this comment, arthurbrick, and to see the video that followed. Tricia made a cool slug video today, and I think it fits in well with the idea of slowing down to check the world around.

  • I love when you zoom in on bugs.

Bugs are fun except for roaches.

    -Ralph

  • Yeah, I am with you on the roaches opinion. They don't even realize how gross they seem, ha ha!

  • I loved that footage, you made a great point in one of my favorite places... a dog park :)

  • That dog park sure is fun to hang out in, but I try to keep m y distance, since I don't have a dog of my own. Just two adorable KittyKats.

  • the east Village is such a diverse community...you totally captured the essence and delivered the message with a relaxing ease!!

  • East Village is the place where I tend to meet up with friends and have fun nights!

  • It is a cool place...i haven't hung out in the city in a long time....i used to go to a lot of pubs in the village but i think it was more the west or if there is a central...

  • i admire your work.

always makes an impact on me.

    5*

  • Thank you. That really means a lot. I have been thinking a lot about how to use video to make a change or an impact. I will keep practicing. Thank you for stopping by.

  • awesome and appropriate .. well done!!

  • Thanks, meisie!

  • really great footage and message...tooth

  • Thanks tooth! I'll try to keep 'em coming!

  • bloody pigeons!!! kick um next time scott :P

You speak like you have lived about 100 lives and that you know how it all works and i somewhat believe everything you say is true even if its not :)

    You speak the truth

nice video man love these nyc vidz

    Kev

Hope to chat to ya in the next tailcast chat

  • Those pigeons would gang up on me if I tried, haha. We had a good chat the other night, with the Tailcast crew. wirrow said you were offline though. Maybe see you soon!

  • oh, and here's an anagram I recently discovered:

    noituLover!

  • a backwards palindrome?

hey, i said its the 13th

but actually i donT use a calendar.

    peACE!

  • awsome man!

forget the mail i sent you; i got confused with acronyms! lol

  • Acronyms and anagrams are the coolest. Palindromes are better! My favorite is

    Dr.Awkward

but the username was already taken.

  • I love your creativity/words/images! Thank you for sharing! **********'s and saved to faves!

  • Thanks, Suzbekistan. That is very encouraging. I appreciate it. :)

  • Life adapts to so many different habitats. :-)

  • It's crazy the animals that end up in the middle of this city. You would never believe they would find their way here, but they do!

  • 31 May 2008

Furnifur sent me. Thoughtfully sincere and stunningly true in the simplicity of its thought. Clear and beautifully stated. Loved the images and the thought behind your video.

    "cat"

  • How are you Dad, nice to see you.

  • Thanks for watching, and thanks to Furni for the sharing. She is the best.

CAT! - That's funny cuz I also ended up filming a little black cat for some time on that day. I had to leave it out though. This seemed like more of a dog video to me in the end.

  • Im sure the bug had a friend to meet there! So smoothly & wisely said! Love the vid!

  • In fact, the little guy did meet up with another, but I didn't end up using that footage for the vid. They both walked the fence to a spot where they found a cob web, on the underneath side. I wasn't sure what they had planned, but I decided to leave them alone to figure it out. Thanks for watching, cooksterz.

  • diggin' vibe & style...apeman was here & enjoyed..peace 5*

  • Thanks so much, Apeman! Peace to you!

  • Why not work together? Always so logical. I loved it I really did! Seriously Scott, best yet!

  • Thanks, Furnifur! We can do so much more when we collaborate. That is one of the reasons I love to see the evolution of the tube.

  • I love how the dogs represent the community and the different types of people you mention. The ending is perfect. You see everything and you know how to show us. You find metaphor everywhere. I like your message too! :)

  • Metaphors are easy to pick up on when you look for them. I was so happy to find that little bug. You know, I shot this over a year ago, but only figured out how to use it recently. The blogging thing is working.

  • those pigeon close-ups freaked me out.

but then...what would i be without crazy pigeons in my life eh?!

    beautiful video!

  • Those dreaded birds! THANKS.

  • Love it!! If I may ask.....what is the music...the strings.....who is that....it really goes well with your movie.

  • The music is built by me, using loops in Garageband. It's a fine software program, and provides many options for folks who don't play any instruments, such as myself.

  • Cool video- would that be Grenwich Village? thanks for the memories- had a great time there summer of '67-

  • COOL! I wish I could have seen the Village in 67. I often walk around there thinking of the cool people who walked those streets before me. My favorite are the Beats. Too bad there's no time tunnel and I can't bump into Kerouac.

  • It was wonderful and although we missed Dylan by a few years, the streets were bursting with buskers, and all sorts of hip people. I think Keroouac had taken up residence in North Beach in SF, but it was great to be there

  • I love your vids. Every bit of this is incredible.

  • Thank you so much. That makes me smile!

  • Bravo!! That beetle really keeps a great beat!!

  • ha ha, yeah he's been practicing! Thank you for watching, smartbandwidth.

  • Another excellent short.

Great points, and great a/v, as we have come to expect.

    ☆☆☆☆☆ & fav.

  • Thank you, man for your great support. I'm trying some new approaches lately, but I think it is paying off. I wanted to do something like a bog, but mix it with my visuals, rather than sit in front of the camera in my apartment.

  • NY way to many people in 1 place.Nice bug.5 stars friend

  • The people are just everywhere, but that's what I like about it. At least in the summertime it is cool. The winter has a lot of big coats and the trains get twice as crowded! Thanks for checking this out, buddy.

  • Remeber, your not cooking each individual rice, your cooking 'the rice'. The end is intense. If you could have moved in ultra tight on that white bug, coupled with the music. Oh man

  • Yeah, I want to do more marco shots. I thought I might go to the field and just shoot the grass as close up as possible. There's bound to be some bugs down there!
