Holiday Depression and what we can do to make a difference

hi, I know you made this vid a while back, I just ran into it. I lost my mom about 3 years ago and things fell apart in the family holidays are hard as Hell...this was the first Thanksgiving I didnt cry, it was hard I kept busy, but now I have to deal with Christmas,,,this is so hard..i had a crying fit the other night, I feel a little better, but i would hate for it to hit me again, its scary.

I have holiday depression big time. I should say that, for me at least, the last thing I want is Christmas decorations or Christmas music. I prefer to ride the whole thing out and trick myself into thinking there are no holidays at all.

When I get really depressed I look around my house look at everything i have and think of the people in dafur that have nothing. That cures my depression pretty fast.

As someone who has had almost continual depression since early teens, I know how hard it can be.

Especially around holidays and events such as christmas, valentines and easter.
