It is loaded with good honest info, and you can send your questions to an actual Marine who will answer them.

It is in your best interest to read the site if you plan to become a Marine one day.

@FUSMC you can reenlist into recruiting you can pick but usually if you dont pick recruiting the USMC picks it for you. and if you get fired from recruiting its a bad fitrep, your career is over, by not putting people in is not grounds for getting fired. it just means you work more hours until you end up with lots of bad counselings then eventually getting fired after like 1-2 years. people who pick recruiting pick where they want to go. if you get picked for recruiting you get put somewhere.

the actual asvab score doesnt matter as much as the line scores ie GT, EL, CL, MM ect. these scores determine what you are good at. many jobs have restrictions on the line scores with waivers up to 3 points. doing good on the asvab means you get good line scores. there arent any asvab restrictions on grunt jobs. but you will need to achieve the minimum asvab score of 32 in order to join. which is equal to about a 21 ACT score.

well when the hrst team and monitors put you on the hit list for recruiting duty you have no choice but to go. and about the weak bitches its true. but you have a quota to meet and if that means finding someone remotely interested you help that person out. service is 100 % voluntary i cant make anyone join and its not like there is a line of people to choose from outside my office

recruiting is not the least respected it is the least wanted. maybe if you had a little time in the Corps you'd see that. plus if you try just a little bit at being a Marine you might see it isnt all that bad. negative motivation is contagous and my guess is that you got it from someone else. if you arent happy with your Marine Corps career try not to bring other people down with thoughts of how much better you can do after your time in.

Sure can! Take the ASVAB. You don't have to sign up to take it. In fact, the first time I took it was at my high school. I'm going to Marine Corps boot camp in August, so I took the ASVAB again (expires after 2 years) when I got my physical done (MEPS). They had me say an oath for Delayed Entry Program, but it's not binding. The real oath is before boot camp. So yeah, go take the ASVAB (it's easy), and if you score well, you should be able to pick artillery, or whatever.
