  • dude the burbon sounds nice ..... 6.2diesel or 454? cause when u rev it sounds like a gas but when it idles it sounds like a 6.2???????

  • 6.2 with open manifolds- now it has dual exhaust with glasspacks

  • oh, ok thanks!

  • that suburban even has the barn doors, sweet machine. looks like fun by the way.

  • yes

  • Is that F150 the straight 6?

  • kick ass man, btw with those 6.2s what type of mileage do you usually get?

  • Depends- despite its weight- my burban will get a steady 20 highway- 3/4 tons with lower gears will be worse but any 6.2 should get 16+ MPG. My '82 K10 got 16-18 with a bad injection pump.

The key is that the engine is running 1800-2000 RPM- thats where the best MPG is.

  • Yeah I have heard of 2wds getting high 20's. Blazers, 1/2tons, and Burb's get around 20-ish. But the 1 tons and heavy 3/4's get lower due to lower gearing. With 4.56 gears, TH400 or Sm465, they get around 14-15. Run real high rpms on the highway.

  • cool
