  • the most of coments are about Justine LOL

  • I see Echo and the Bunnymen influence here.

  • @whpriol1 sonic youth too :)

  • Cutting edge polished punk wow

  • sweeeeeeeet!

  • Love this band so much their manager botched their careers! They should've been leading the charge during the 90's british invasion redux but they outhipped themselves out of larger sucess. If you werent super insider you couldnt even find out or get near them. They ARE better than oasis and MUCH more original.

  • she's doesn't half steal Wire riffs!

  • great guitars

  • @horacio303 The Menace

  • from what album are this song??? thanx!!!!

  • I love how plain the introduction is. Elastica don't need introductions!

  • Where can I buy this CD? It's not on iTunes or HMV's website... >.<

  • @welovejuniorband You''ll have to look on Amazon.com......its really cheap, and its just as good as the first one too.

  • lots of pavement´s influence in their second album!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • COVER TO WIRE:

    Wire Lowdown- elastica human

Wire Used to- elastica image change

Wire kidney bingos- elastica nothing stays the same

    Wire 12xu-elastica 12xu

Wire practice makes perfect- elastica Your love is what i want

Wire three girl rhumba- Elastica Connection

Wire i am the fly- elastica line up

    I LOVE ELASTICA AND WIRE

  • The Menace was one of the most overlooked albums of 2000........!!! Sure its no debut album, but its still better than any of the other shit that came out that year.........Thankyou very much and GOODNIGHT!! (Basil Faulty)

  • re: plentymore21

    I actually enjoy BOTH albums.

There's *a couple* songs I don't care for on each ot these CDs - but usually when you buy a CD for a great song you've heard - the whole rest of the album sucks! I think most of you know what I'm talking about. So I rank them pretty high.

(The only albums that I liked every single song on were products of Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin)

  • Actually - you arer right - I guess what it was was - hahah - um......The Menace sounded better, but the songs were no way near as good - but like with everything "The Menace" if it had sold 8 million or 4 million, they would still be around now.

Its about time they were though.........

  • The Menace was a good album. Much better than the first.

The first also sounded like it was recorded on an analog tape.

  • Justine sounds great in this song from the Album . But is it true that the Album " The Menace " is mostly about the break up relationship between Damon Albarn and Justine ?

  • What year is this?

  • Comment removed

  • Justine Frischmann is soo HOTT!

  • Justine SO turns me on...

  • were can i find spastica by the m off craft soundtrack? cant find on you tube ;(

  • bass lines are so catchy! Love elastica

  • i just remember, when i get Soundtrack from blair witch project 2 film, and that song is there, was 1st time i hear that and still is my favorite song of Elastica ...

  • Wow... VH1 did something useful and introduced me to this band. Amazing.

  • aaawesome and this is my first time hearing them :D

  • im in love with this song .

  • so am i!!!!

  • my typing sucks....

  • It's not your typing, its the keyboard lol ;)

  • Im here big sis caron hehe ...shes djing now in mis shapes london....

  • ive got the original of this..sheila sent it me...hehe

  • lucky you!!! Sheila rocks..!!

  • Any scottish britpop bands?

Becuase Britan general is supposed to mean the entire island

  • @RufusRamen - Depends how technical you want to get. Where there Scottish bands selling records during the period 1992-1998.... yes, of course.... Primal Scream and Idlewild for a start. Would they consider themselves 'Britpop'? Defo not. Then came along Travis, a little too late for the boat, whilst all us southerners had to suffer the intolerable 'Wet Wet Wet'... Why? Did you have a valid point to make at all?

  • @onlinecashman Sorry I posted that comment a year ago. Don't even remember why I did.

  • Nice song...Thanks:)

  • what year is this? anybody??

  • 2000 I suspect.

  • november 99 if i remember correctly

  • Didn't Colin Newman co-write this?

  • Yes. Lowdown, Pink Flag. But in this song it's only the chords of the synth and the heavy chords at the end.

  • GREAT!

  • dead man on campus!

  • reminds me a little of Joy division, like Dead Souls or summin! the lyrics fit if u sing them over the top of it!

  • This song could only have been done by a bunch of smackheads. I preferred uppier songs like 'Connection'.

  • Sorry, but this is what the rock "movements" of today are missing. They have the rock and the drugs but no ones giving us the sex. We need another Elastica to do for todays music what they did for brit rock.

  • They were a very different band with out Donna Mathews.

  • They were a much better band with Donna Mathews

  • I agree

  • who's Donna?

    sorry, i'm an ignorant

  • Donna Matthews was Elastica's first lead guitarist. Check out any video fr their first album and you can't miss her.

  • Que fatal y que weird

  • does anybody have this song? i've been looking for it for a long time... first i heard it in "a life less ordinary"... please someone send me this song... let me know that someone has it... i'm waiting...

  • It's the 6th track on Elastica's second and last fully produced album titled "The Menace"

  • Best lapdance song

  • I've always loved Justine's vocal,it just doesn't sound too great here compared to previous years. She's a beautiful woman too

  • I think her vocals are were the weakest part of the band......too passive, I always liked her though and they were a cool band.

  • Well the weak vocals were actually integral to the band. I think they were quite deliberate and was congruent with the "I just can't be bothered" attitude that they projected. That and don't understimate the general lack of energy resulting from heroin use.

  • justine has always been a poor vocalist. i don't understand why it took 20 people to make a crappy second album. btw, she looked better during her heroin days than she does not.

  • when justine sings, baby ewoks cry...

  • Vocalist's voice doesn't matter in rock music

  • Justine is like a 12 to me! ....or used to be then hehehee

  • wow, this video was really awesome. it's a shame we never got jools holland or even top of the pops in the states.

    i really miss elastica!

  • what is it about chicks in bands? put a 6 in a band and she becomes an 8

  • If you think that Justine is a 6, you don't know anything about women.

  • Your comment just applies just as easily to men.

But to answer the question, its called star appeal.

  • if ANY of elastica have 'star appeal',ill eat my hat. btw, just how many men/women were in the group, its so hard to tell...

  • Awsome song. Wish Donna was there.

  • Later with Jools Holland....had to be 2000

  • what year is this from and where was this peformance at ?

  • great band patchy second album, all rehab tunes and break ups and bad cover versions and now donna has gone all religious on usas shes head of the Christian Union at Dartington College of Music and Arts and attends the Ichthus Link Church : Totnes United Free Church. stay away from rock n roll it screws a good band up

  • Whats wrong with that????

  • whatever he said sounded retarded and emo

  • Actually the problem was DRUGS... Not Rock & Roll...

  • The only problem is its always hard to hear the lyrics because the sound drowns out her voice...aarrgh!

  • they're even better live!

    love ittt

  • nice

  • Wow, I love this song, great to see it live!

  • i love justine!!!
