cont. We define ourselves not just by what we are, but in relation to what we are not. So we sometimes try to compete with other members of the Jewish community to strengthen or define our personal definitions of Jewishness. for example 'more Jewish". It gives us a greater appreciation for who we are.

I believe that being Jewish is just as much an issue of cultural identity as it is about religion. I feel that each of us, in some way yearns to belong to something greater. Being part of the Jewish community is part of that.

If G-d does not care if we mix meat with milk or fasted on Yom Kippur than why did He give give us the Holy Torah and repeat multiple times in it to follow all the commandments. I am no perfectly observant Jew and I do believe in interpreting the Torah in a way that is relevant today, but I (nor should anyone else) take away from it and say that G-d does not care.

What is the difference between being culturally Jewish and ethnically Jewish? My Grandfather is of Jewish descent but there was no religious tradition in my family just the reminder that our Grandfather comes from a Jewish family, can i then say that i am part

Born Jewish but because of what I am Jews want nothing to do with me regardless of me trying to reconnect. Good luck with all this. Jews should not wonder why Jews walk away, we smite our own and banish our own.

There is no perfect person in the world religious or not religious, but yet everyone is special in their own way. There is no better or worse Jew in the world, there is Jews that are unknowledgeable of there own religion and it's upsetting, but it not our fault it's a test! I was born in Russia were my parents celebrated all the holidays but I never been told why we do that, I heard about Shabbat only in America and unfortunately had couple of bad incidents with religious Jews too, it surely happened to me with a lot of deferent people because Iam global personality

Hy im Omer (עה"ג) I think there is no such thing as good or bad jews! Everyone can be a jew he just needs to belive in it, and if he does its whats realy important because everyone can be a jew in his way and all the ways are good enough!!!

Every jew that is born a jew or becomes one we need to help each other and not to tell people they are not good enough! Every jew should be proud of beeing a jew!!!!!!!!!!

it doesn't say any where that we all are compelled to do the same things and believe in a certain way I think that there is no right or wrong way to be Jewish, I think every person is entitled to believe in there own way and be a believer in there terms and capabilities

because you cant force someone to believe ,

personally I think that there is no Jew who is more Jewish, but what i do think is that within the Jewish community there is different levels of belief , there are the people that believe more than others they go to pray in the synagogue and don't mix milk and meat fulfill all the mizvot and then there is the people that chose to live there life differently

I agree with a few things that were said in this video, like how it doesn't matter if you believe in god or eat milk and meat.

I also think that nobody can judge one another by these actions, and agree that it is more important to treat other people well, and that really defines who you are.

Also, I don't think you can decide how jewish a person is, if his jewish, nothing can change that.

I think we should follow G-d's commandments but also be a good person and better the world around us. After all we are supposed to be light into the world just like shabbat herself. I think many of us have forgotten what our job as Jews is, to bring the world back to the one true G-d of Israel. However it is not our place to judge others on how Jewish someone is. Only you your self can decide how Jewish you truely are.

I agree with what "girl with glasses" said. God doesn't care whether you don't mix milk and meat, he/she would rather have you be a good person. I think that's what really matters. And not following the rules like mixing milk and meat doesn't make you a bad Jew nor does following those types of rules. The first thing you've got to be is a human being!
