  • kono karui utaikataga dekiru hitoha souha imasen. saikou desu.

  • ★★★★★★ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • Last and probably the best of the true Torch Singers

  • Last and likely the best of the Torch Singers

  • Estilo inimitable, clase, clase, clase pura clase.

  • Julie was smokin' hot!

  • I Like it!

  • Sexy Woman.

  • Isn't that the same dress that Ginger was marooned in?

  • I miss the "style" of the early 60's in America. Everyone dressed.

  • what a lady, great song too!

  • I'm a straight female and even I would have gone to bed with Julie LOL. I think the producers of MadMen modeled Joan's look after Julie.

  • @zamusicza Well, I'm a gay male, and I would've gone to bed with her, too!

  • o you sexy lady.

  • Love this fast version...but by Julie only!

  • wow diddnt know this existed

  • Each time I hear her say, "Darling, kiss me", Goosebumbs. EVERYTIME!

  • That was then. But then I'm 74 years old and there's no going back! BUT Thanks to you tube, in some way I CAN go back!!

  • If the Julie I know sang like London,I would be insane.

  • In Webster's Dictionary:

    Sexy, adj.-Julie London.

  • it sounds like a bossa nova

  • when talent meets sex appeal! She could flew with anyone she wanted!!!!

  • Wow, cool! Sounds great!

    Please try our version /watch?v=W_qNcSjzPDA

    =)

  • what a voice! so sweet

  • i am 50 and my dad said she was the sexiest thing he had ever seen,, i have to agree with him.

  • I feel so lucky, I have met a young woman who is like a modern julie london, really pretty, feminine and talented! :)

  • @thepeacecat You should, she's probably on-of-a-kind, or 1 in 7 billion. Now all we need is a few more of these classy, sophisticated women for likewise men, like us who've looked her version up.

  • This is the definitive version - check out my version (Graham Dalby) and though it's not too shabby this the benchmark..........GD

  • Julie is a GDF ! ! !

  • I love you...JULIE !!!!!!!!!

  • Yes, this is certainly jazz. The instrumentation is right, There's plenty of syncopation, etc.

  • That has got to be the canine's genetilia!!!

  • This is beautiful in so many ways. Both the music, as well as Julie London.

  • Hot DAMN!

  • Maravilhosa interpretação, eu adorei!

  • I loved her as Dixie McCall in Emergency. She had a great voice.

  • She's what they refered to as a "dish" back in the 60's....never knew who she was till I ran across this video while searching for this song...I was born in the 60's...

  • This song screams 60's...lol...

  • I love this song.

  • Looks about mom's age(76)......They were all in '64...if she was ten years younger, she'd be most likely a "swingin hippie chick"

  • What a beautiful woman.

  • one of the best!!! bravo

  • Holy crap...she is making that dress dance....seriously, from 0:32 on!...and check out that shimmy at about 0:47 or so...damn!!!

  • Yikes, who could vote this one down? Weirdos.

  • pure class ... celine dion , christ .....

  • i love this song but it's romantic song

  • classy lady...!

  • shame!!

no bikinies and miniskirts those times!!

    :-(

  • @Omar2788 Bikinis were pretty common by 1964. Remember all those beach movies with Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello? Miniskirts were still a couple of years away, though. But Julie London would have looked sexy in a T-shirt and jeans.

  • What a hottie!

  • She looks like Jessica Rabbit!

  • I love her!

  • look at the hips on that WOMAN and melt..i did.

  • Again, God

  • I wish she can born again :)

  • Dixie! I need a saline IV with lactose-ringers! STAT!

  • @jharri1 - LOL!! great joke!! :)

  • なぜ?彼女はいまいち評価が乏しいのか?・・・不思議でならない。ってゆうか、日本人にはこのゴージャスの権化のようなコンチネンタル・ガールの美味さを知らんのよね。・・・・情けないことやわ。

  • She was singing quite relaxingly and naturally

She was really into the song

  • It's amazing that song!

That song was use in k-drama and anime like evangelion and the prince of coffee - i don't care if Julie died, for me She is still alive in my ipod!!!

  • Beautiful woman, great singer....the ultimate lounge performer...she did it so effortlessly.... with style grace and dignity. What a beauty!!!!

  • look at the hips on that WOMAN and gasp..i did.

  • Sex appeal rolls off London like shock waves. Madonna, by contrast, makes me want to turn on the TV and start snoring.

  • Julie was at first reluctant to get on stage back in 1954 - I´m glad she did. The ones that want to become "big stars" and "idols" never amount to anything! The recorded version of this has an amazing arrangement.

  • with elegance and class .... love it!!!!

  • when women were women, proud to be women and acted like women with all their sexy feminine beauty not needing to act like men or believe they were somehow cheated, had to compete with men for "maleness" or held back by being a woman - wearing a dress was a wonderful thing!

  • @nazhiker ....you are so right....they gloried in being feminine...where all the real power is....women of today have just lost their way to high charm

  • @nazhiker and in reality by throwing out our femininity we gave up most of our power. God created a good balance....I can cry and a woman won't bat an eyelash...I can cry to my husband or nearly any other male and get what I want because they can't stand to see a woman cry..I have no problem using what granny's generation called our "feminine wiles"

  • Sexy!!

  • It is jazz kinda, I mean it's sorta a double time bossa/ samba thing, but I mean it was the 60's, it was a genre that was on a rise and thanks to Stan Getz, It reached main stream, So I guess it's jazz =_=

  • Can there be any doubt where Tina Louise got her inspiration for the character of Ginger on Gilligan's Island?

  • What a star! Such style and class. Bravo Julie!

  • if someone here compares her to GAGA i'll be very angry

  • Man Julie was the coolest. Thanks for sharing this and love this song. Those were the days man.....

  • A whole bunch of Julie's as-yet-to-be-released-on-CD albums (indcluding some that already have been) are being released by EMI Japan in record-like-paper-sleeves on July 31, 2010!!!!! Including "Send For Me", "Easy Does It", "You Don't Have To Be a Baby to Cry" and "With Body and Soul"!!!! I am in heaven....I love her so...

  • nice

  • aweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Julie was the female Sinatra! The perfect female voice! Diana krall got much inspired by her.

  • this dance hahaha so .. so appropriate :)

  • 良いですね(^^)

  • いいですな

  • I love her voice!

  • She is 38 years old in this clip.....beautiful sexy gal

  • She = awesome babe. THIRTY EIGHT? Geesh I was 19

  • Ginger from Gilligan's Island does look so much likeJulie London. So, maybe there is something to Ginger basing her role on Julie London? Who knows?

  • I used to think that Tina Louise was ripping off Marilyn Monroe with her character on Gilligan's Island, now I know that she was, without a doubt, actually basing it on Julie London.

  • hot gal, great song but I never have liked big bands because they sound so corny. They sound like they want to sound "cool", "hip" or whatever the jargon is now... a trio or a quartet would have been better but she sure was a looker.

  • I've been listening to and playing jazz since the mid fifties, but I don't remember her being so good -- I always connect her with "Cry Me a River" and didn't realize that she's a great jazz singer -- great voice.

  • I don't think the band is very good. She is so sexy, wow.

  • She is amazing!! i love this song ;)

  • those hips, that voice! *fangirl finds new idol*

    wooooooooooooow.

  • Wow. She never did that on "Emergency!" .

  • It's too bad Julie never sang on that show. They could have done an episode about the black market in human organs -- and she could have sung "Buy Me a Liver."

  • That fucking guitar ruined the piece.

  • Golden woman! Goosebumps on my back and numbness magic - a magic voice and charisma

  • Beautiful lady, song, voice and jusy loved it!! thanks!!

  • that is absolute sex on a stick, my friends. What a gorgeous woman.

  • Spot on! She sings this perfectly!!

  • No denying that. She is HOT and easily beats some of the so-called beautiful woman in the news today.

    Real classy.

  • Gracias Jose me encanta la canción. I LOVE YOU (Miri) ;)

  • Dixie McCall, R.N. from the tv show "Emergency!" I never knew - thanks wikipedia. I forgot about the "!" in the name of that show too. :-)

  • smokin' hot Julie London. Yeah.

  • thnx 4 th upload ^^

    I also like Sinatra's version =D

  • no way avril is da bom

  • 21st century music is a total shit. Bad voice like Avril Lavigne and Katy Perry are simply the infamous example! bball708 is correct.

  • I don't know, i think each um could it be called music era? well let's call it like that..has its own beauty. The 80's 70's 60's.. all of them.

I do agree on the ass-shaking ridiculous songs, but they're not all like that, there is talent when you know how to search for it.

  • yeah spot on, everyone thinks they can or should be a star. bye bye quality welcome quantity :(

  • the music industry is shit now...

then you had to have some serious talent to become famous singer

now you need a beat and woman to shake there ass while you poor perfectly good alcohol on them...

  • absolutely agree

    consumerism has swamped the industry

  • What a waste of good liquor!

  • Wonderful song, wonderful woman. One of the sultriest and sexiest songbirds ever. Julie, I love you. If you ever need 'mood' music for a romantic evening, play Julie London.

  • That's some sexy voice (and the rest of her also). ooooohhhhh!

  • Has anyone found out why we cant have this classy sexiness in modern music anymore?

Everyone now seems to have to rub up against something or someone to be counted as "sexy"

  • That's a great point. Julie London could just stand there and she'd still be sexy.

  • I remember julie london from the early 60's as the Marlboro girl i knew she was a singer. In the 70's her and husband bobby Troupe (what a lucky guy he was) were on Emergency. Julie was one beautiful, HOT AND VERY VERY SEXY WOMAN she is one of my all time favourite women she's gone but not forgotton by many of us.

  • i think her smoking made her voice sultrier..but it also ages women a bit prematurely.a great talent though

  • this gal is flamin',,,soooo hottttt!

  • She was hot as hell.

  • 2 things-a friend from highschool's mom was good friends with her, and my brother's friend's grandmother was her housekeeper--and here's #3-the lovely miss London was the official hostess when newport beach's fashion island opened in 1967-the theme was 'flight to adventure...

  • 0:48 !

  • wow lovely! thanks!

  • I have The Julie London Show (A Japanese television-show from 1964) on dvd. But 'Fly Me To the Moon' isn't on it. Too bad!

  • Julie looks as if she was poured into that body-hugging sequined sheath. This was when female entertainers knew how to dress.

  • Exactly! Somebody show this to that Lady Gaga please!

  • @BethBetteJulie we'll have to call her GooGooGaGa, coz THIS is a Lady

  • @scotpens dress, sing, act, perform, etc. Classy ladies, great music.

  • Jack Webb and Bobby Troop were LUCKY guys to be married to her!!!

  • Beautiful. This Version sounds like it came from Snazzy Jazz Club where everyone is in their New Sunday Suits on a Tuesday Night around Midnight Slowly Drinking and enjoying the beautiful Night. amazing. Fly me to the Moon Respect the Classics. P.S. I agree do they have a Dvd of all her hits. I would love to watch this song forever!

  • I have all my fathers original albums on quality vinyl in storage, many by Julie London but never listened to them. Always thought she was only a stage act. WOW, was I wrong!?!?

First class and right up there with Sarah and Ella. Where can we find a beautiful female singer like this today? Have seen Diana Krall live up close once, a small pub in Toronto 1996. That is about as close to a real beautiful female jazz singer that we can experience today. -Mark, Artist-Astronomer, Portland Oregon

  • I always think about Bewitched when I hear this song...

  • where did you get this footage? i'd like to have it in high quiality so can enjoy it more :p

  • Correcting my previous post, I meant to say Julie appeared in the film 'The Girl Can't help it' in a dream sequence, not 'Will Success spoil Rock Hunter'. Hopefully more footage from her TV specials will be available on DVD in the future.

  • How beautiful is Julie London here, and a great uptempo standard that she did better than anyone. She is just so SEXY. Does anyone else think she looks like Ginger (Tina Louise) from Gilligan's Island here?

  • @harrietcraig, I instantly thought the same thing. Could it be they were imagining Julie when they created that role? I must say, that I only knew Julie as "Dixie" in one of my favorite shows as a kid. I had never realized her awesome talent as a singer.

  • She is so glamorous and sexy, this is stunning to see. I have so much of her on CD but little visually, apart from 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter'. She herself thought her voice was thin, and she was sometimes underrated, I can't explain why. I have her live CD and she is just wonderful. Julie, you ARE wonderful. A classy dame for sure.

  • you are so beautiful

  • A real lady and what a voice today its sometimes so cheap they think that they can sing but must have it from the looks and then they look like xxxx won't say that word here but think you no what I mean.

  • I love watching Julie London, as my mother was her clone, and it's like watching my own mom performing...And yes my mom could sing to...

  • Wow - This was the head nurse in the Emergency TV series ?

What a Babe and what a VOICE ! You'll never see Madonna or Britney with such natural class, sex appeal and talent !

  • @chachameister LOL,thats how I remember her,,,I did not know she was such an awesome JAZZ singer

  • I know. I was making a joke, which you didn't get, probably because you never heard the infamous recording of her all fucked up in the studio.

  • Yeah, she was something else...where can I hear the infamous recording?

  • what recording would this be??? I wanna hear!!!

  • What the fuck key is this in?

  • @rdangelo F major

  • @HAlghamdi you didn't get my joke, did you?

  • schwupp-dee-wupp! ;O)

  • Brilliant!

  • i love it! thank u for posting!

  • great!
