I remember hearing Original Sin in Adelaide Australia 25 years ago (1983). I was 11 years old.
I guess we all have our foibles. Michael was really very vulnerable. That's what we all loved about him, but some people turned that to their advantage. He was also kind of thoughtless to get so wrapped up in Paula Yates. To many she was a danger, a witch. He paid for that ignorance.

Only the U2 song Stuck in a Moment is a dedication to Michael. Gone was released as part of U2's Pop album in March 1997 whilst Michael died November 1997.

Being an age old INX fan, this was one of his best "later" songs. I have the last CD INX produced, and they were trying to go in a direction that wasn't working. I downed a bottle or so of wine watching his funeral, with the tiger lillys adorning the car... balling my eyes out. But, 10 years on, I'm able to look at the fantastic things he & the band brought to music from Australia around the world.... To me, he's a living legend.. RIP Michael xxxx

I remember hearing Original Sin in Adelaide Australia 25 years ago (1983). I was 11 years old.
I guess we all have our foibles. Michael was really very vulnerable. That's what we all loved about him, but some people turned that to their advantage. He was also kind of thoughtless to get so wrapped up in Paula Yates. To many she was a danger, a witch. He paid for that ignorance.

I still get kind of emotional when I see Michael from this era. Still hard to believe that maybe a month later he was found dead in his hotel room.
But I think history will reflect how great he was as a front man and songwriter. He will no doubt be up there with all the greatest writers in history.

Only the U2 song Stuck in a Moment is a dedication to Michael. Gone was released as part of U2's Pop album in March 1997 whilst Michael died November 1997.

In the U2 By u2 biography, Gone was written for another purpose.
However, during the Popmart Tour and Elevation Tour, everytime this song was played, Bono dedicated it to Michael.

Michael does resemble bono a bit with his dyed darkened straight hair & tinted glasses.....but who could deny that INCREDIBLE VOICE & CHARISMA that he had on stage.....AWESOME!!!!

Being an age old INX fan, this was one of his best "later" songs. I have the last CD INX produced, and they were trying to go in a direction that wasn't working. I downed a bottle or so of wine watching his funeral, with the tiger lillys adorning the car... balling my eyes out. But, 10 years on, I'm able to look at the fantastic things he & the band brought to music from Australia around the world.... To me, he's a living legend.. RIP Michael xxxx
