The Space Colonization game is based on how to transit from the Earth to LEO. Low Earth Orbit at a 'returnable' cost. When you can get the equivalent of 20 tons of cargo in LEO at the cost of the same weight of freight for Los Angelos to New York by Truck... Will take the Solar System in 50 years. That is the price for the working man to develop business and sustainability... the profits will be competitive with anything done on Earth.
cool idea, i think we'll need Ceres as a base when asteroid mining, i like the idea of taking some water from Ceres to the moon tho. itd take a few thousand years for the water to evaporate from the moon (i think), nothing is permanant!
They should just crash Ceres into Mars. Although that's about as farfetched as the theory of injecting methane into Mars atmosphere to warm the planet, and then busting the ice caps apart with explosives.
Crash Ceres into Mars? How do you accomplish that task? This is like suggesting you crash the Matterhorn, the whole mountain in tact, into New York City.... only harder. Ceres is a planet (OK, a "dwarf" planet) for crying out loud.
Mining chunks of Ceres might make a little bit of sense, but then again there are many other much smaller asteroids made of mostly ice that would do the trick as well.
Yawn.

Set up a wormhole to move water from Ceres to Mars.

Why Ceres?
Just grab a couple of comets.
Ceres is better left where it is as a possible stepping stone to the outer planets.

Extra extra: Ceres microbe kills moon settlers. ;)

not only that what about killer dust on the moon

what a pointless video

ur theory is noob, really noob, if we wan water in mars, we can extract hydrogen and oxygen from the mars atmosphere to turn them into water

ok, and how exactly do we move these huge objects?

mars have 2 tiny moons, which 1 will you crush it with? My answer is just no. we need those moon to tides the water on the planet at all opportunity.
Crush ceres to mars.. simple

you heat moon rock to 800 C you get water. Cheapest solution of all!!!

didn't they say if they were to colonize the moon, to alter its atmosphere they would use a catalyst to start off that process.

Really?

They found out that when you compress and heat up moon dust to 700c that it turns into water and water can make plants which make breathable air!!!!
