I learned to ride on a black Percheron gelding when I was a boy in Montana. These Friesian horses remind me of that old fella. They have that presence, that heavy grace that can make a man turn all the way around to watch when one goes by.
Ok two Aribs.Cause we don,t actually know. They are not standing in front here. But sence your so shure a possibl is there.Have a really great day now.Agree they are beautifull.
@TwistedTemptress actually i would say they were quarter arabian crosses and not fresian crosses cause fresians have a bit more pizaz in their looks!!
You can't see enough of the horse at 0:25 to make a breed determination. However his bone frame is stockier which suggests he is more likely Friesian than Arabian. If by chance your right that he is Arabian then I would say Polish Arabian not Egyptian based on his head.
TwistedTemptress, this is not an Arabian. The characteristics of the Friesian horse is recognized by its easy temperament and large body. This strong, big boned horse came from a cool temperate environment. Pure Friesian horses are always solid black with blue horn hooves that has feathering on the lower legs. The Friesan has short ears and a noble head. Friesian's eyes show much intelligence and kindness; its strong body carries an extremely very thick mane over an arched neck.
@NuttyTart1960 there are two horses in that video that are DEINITELY Arabians, and most definitely NOT Friesians. And pointing out the breed standards only confirms this point, because these are horses that clearly do not comply with that in any way.
@19grand These horses are "general purpose". For riding in wars, in carriages, pulling trees from wood. Friesians are strong horses for just about everything.
not arabians. please. don't even think it! arabians have a VERY different muzzle. BTW I love fresians. Their deep black fur and the strenght they show.
I know for an absolute fact the second horse shown is an arab... I have seen that photo before, and he is a purebred son of Magnum Psyche, a very famous arabian sire.
Good on ya, imatroll! Those are GORGEOUS horses, granted. But it would be nice if they could be presented with correct English. Please note: apostrophe-'S' does NOT make a word plural!!! It makes it possessive. It would be correct if you were saying, for instance, "the Friesian's gate is wonderful" or "the Friesian's mane is long and curly." But if you just want to indicate the video contains many Friesians, you don't need any apostrophe: Friesians. Period.
0:48 ISN'T a friesian either look closely people !! See everybody that says that it's an friesian your a fricken idoit, you probably have NO IDEA what your saying,so shut the hell up & acually watch the WHOLE video!
i know what is arabain and friesans and gysp vanners because i breed them all 24 horses in all 8 gysp vanners 11 friesans the rest arabains and im not counting the babys there is 27 horses in all counting the babys 3
Jesus people it's just a horse. Horses are my life probably like many of you, but really...I love em' all. Some of ya'll look retarded arguin' about it. Yes, Beautful song and beautiful horse!!
Just looks sun bleeched to me. My friend has a friesian that looks like that from being in turn out all the time. It could be a cross, but looks pretty pure to me:)
i was at a show a few weeks ago, and there was a Friesan right beside where we were parked. my jaw literally dropped open. freakin GORGEOUS horse!! and i got to pet him ^_^
I don't think 0:25 is an Arab. The neck is too thick. They do breed Friesians to have a more refined face so from this angle I guess it could look like an arab but he has too much neck on him to be an arab.
0:25 is definitely an arabian. the neck appears thicker than it is, due to two things. First, it is almost definitely a stallion, which are known to have thicker necks due to the crest that they develop (this is in all breeds). Second, the angle the photo is taken from makes the neck appear fatter, when in reality it is hardly any wider than the horse's head if you look at the perspective. it is definitely an Arabian tho, Friesians should in no way have a 'dished' profile.
@TwistedTemptress no. that's a friesian. they can have a slightly dished nose at times if they r bred with a black arabian. but that one didn't. it was the angle of the camera
@VincentsSweetheart "if they are bred with an arabian" - therefore no longer a friesian. However, that horse is not even a part bred. It has no friesien in it at all. Look at the fineness of the muzzle. Look at the thin skin and svelte coat. That is not a 'slight' dish, it is a definite Arabian dish. It is a pure-bred Arabian, probably a stallion, and probably close to 100% egyptian. Definitely not in any way a Friesian.
@TwistedTemptress The Friesian has been an established breed of horse for centuries. They are known for short backs, long legs, feathered feet, and are always black.
@marjorum I know what a Friesian is. I also know that the horse at 0:25 and at 0:49 are Arabians. Known for short backs (often with a vertebrae less than other breeds), dished profiles and high set tails. It is an older breed than the Friesian.

I have a photo of my Friesian that looks identical to :25. Many foals resemble Arabs before they fill out making :49 a possible Friesian. For someone to say that these are poorly bred Friesians tells me they don't know Friesians at all. The jealous "know it all" --there's 1 in every barn. I own 3 imported Friesians, 2 of which are get of the #1 Friesian stallion in the world, the other was in Zorro. I also stand a Padron grandson & bred Arabs for 15 years. I can certainly tell the difference.
obviously you cant... the horse at 0:25 is DEFINATELY an arabian. Note the wide forehead, the large nostrils, the small muzzle, the dished profile, the fine smooth coat.. the list could go on. As for the horse at 0:49, it too is CLEARLY an Arabian, note the high tail carriage, the short back, the dished profile and the arch of the neck. Definately Arabians, and definately not friesians.
i dnt agree how ur saying that yes it is an arabian at 25 u can see wid the dish in the face and the shaped eyes but i can understand how mistchaz got confused like if i was not very exsperianced with horses i think the same thing so yer just talk a bit nicer
Well if you want to read just a lil bit more than my reply you will see that Mistchaz was the one who was giving negative comments about 'jealous know it alls' who 'dont know friesians at all'. I dont give respect to anyone who doesnt deserve it, and they have certainly not earnt it.
LOL don't laugh at me, I can promise that at LEAST one of the pictures is an Arab, there are a few others that are either poorly bred Friesians or Arabians. They're all pretty though! And if you read the other comments you'll notice I'm not the only one who thinks so!
See that is where you are mistaken. I don't think hardly any of them are Friesians, I KNOW that this is the case. The Friesian breed has a set of standards that the horse must meet. These points are confirmation and action based, and are what separate the Friesians from the hairy black crossbreeds.
the musik love the horse yeah :)

obviously you cant... the horse at 0:25 is DEFINATELY an arabian.

And for you to say that ppl who disagree with these horses being Friesians dont know Friesians at all just proves that you are an ignorant git.
TwistedTemptress 2 years ago
i dnt agree how ur saying that yes it is an arabian at 25 u can see wid the dish in the face and the shaped eyes but i can understand how mistchaz got confused like if i was not very exsperianced with horses i think the same thing so yer just talk a bit nicer

Well if you want to read just a lil bit more than my reply you will see that Mistchaz was the one who was giving negative comments about 'jealous know it alls' who 'dont know friesians at all'. I dont give respect to anyone who doesnt deserve it, and they have certainly not earnt it.

I can undersatnd that sadly you haven't read any books about horses and all of the breeds.
The Friesian Horse is actually real.
So you're wrong about the Arabian Horse.
Look it up on the flippin' internet, don't be lazy.
Search ''Friesian Horse Wikipedia'',and then click on search.
It's that easy.
Even I looked it up for you and it works.
So give a try.

most are just blak horses they could be arabs friesians throughbreds quarter horses or just plain mutt horses
em352 2 years ago
LOL don't laugh at me, I can promise that at LEAST one of the pictures is an Arab, there are a few others that are either poorly bred Friesians or Arabians. They're all pretty though! And if you read the other comments you'll notice I'm not the only one who thinks so!

i thought the vid waz somethin else lol

I love that hardly any of these horses are actually Friesians, several are just black Arabians.
GemstoneRanch 2 years ago
i agree because i have a blak arabian
em352 2 years ago
dude. none of those horses are arabians.
ADRASTOSindeimos 2 years ago
lmao and wich of these horses do you think are arabians?
ADRASTOSindeimos 2 years ago
0:25 is an arabian, and 0:49 is an arabian too.
TwistedTemptress 2 years ago 2
and that means that "hardly any" are Fresians?
some people just have to bitch about something. TWO arabians out of 30 Fresians and 'hardly any' are fresians.
ADRASTOSindeimos 2 years ago
Hardly any of them are friesians. Just because a horse has a black coat and feathers doesnt mean it is a friesian.
TwistedTemptress 2 years ago 2
think what you want
ADRASTOSindeimos 2 years ago
See that is where you are mistaken. I don't think hardly any of them are Friesians, I KNOW that this is the case. The Friesian breed has a set of standards that the horse must meet. These points are confirmation and action based, and are what separate the Friesians from the hairy black crossbreeds.

lol or spend your time arguing over a youtube video.
