  • hey love please please see this comment i adore you i no you probably won't see this comment ohhhhhhhh how i wish you could do a look book or something i LOVE your style its sooo pretty id love to see a bunch of you vintage outfits your very inspiring

  • I LOVED your Bettie bangs video, it helped me trim my own bangs for the first time (which were already U-shaped but needed to be trimmed). I'm trying pin curls for the first time tonight! Thanks so much for your tips, you're wonderful.

  • God you're adorable!

  • @theroxeedoodle haha! Thank ya =^_^=

  • aw super cutie

  • :D i just realized you said a love child between a pompadour and a victory roll.

  • i wish i didn't have bangs so i can do that :\

  • i love your videos!

  • You are so good at the victory rolls/pomp. I try all the time but can never really get it right. Do you think its just practise? I love everything vintage so your videos are so perfect for me! x

  • @Aquadisiac17 Thank you so much! Yes, I think it does take practice... angling has so much to do with it. I would try doing it on the opposite side than you usually do to see if that helps, or use a little styling gel to give it hold as you roll it up. I've also heard of some people using a foam roller as a tool, roll it up and slide it out and just pin it in place! :)

  • wouldnt it hurt to sleep with hair rollers at night?

  • @oxutmioxkx actually if you use sponge rollers or pillow rollers they don't hurt at all. it might be awkward at first though. i've been using those for years, they have different sizes at beauty stores.

  • I love this because I have very long hair and it will work perfectly for this!

It's gonna be for valentine's day I think!

    Thanks for this! =)

  • Hey. I love love love this look, but I was wondering, does it work for people with longish hair?

  • Yes, definitely! It may take a little more patience, but I can guarantee that it is possible :) Just follow the same guidelines and allow for the extra length, and perhaps even use a smaller amount of hair to compensate... it may feel awkward, so it might take a handful of tries:)

  • Youve got great hair, but just for my curiosity, how many bowls of Wheaties do you eat for breakfast? You cannot help but notice those awesome arms!!!

Think about doing a flexing video for some of us female bicep worshipers out here, unless of course you rip telephone books in half strictly for your boyfriend ....

  • HAAH! Awe, thank you, really :) I do like my Wheaties, but I think the muscles are due to carrying around mine and my husband's son these last two years ;)

  • @StrawberryKoiVintage holly crap ! you're married ???

you look like your sixteen at most !!

  • @mumumwa haha, that's great! It will do well for me when I am 50 :) (I am almost 25 now)

  • Please be aware I was trying to be both humorous and to complement you on your guns. which was also before I read the other comments from other fans of yours on the flexing which you indicated was a personal, if not touchy subject....My ex-girlfriend was much like you.. a petite but tempermental 95 lbs tomboy, kick-boxer with 20" biceps which looked like golf balls! Just as shy to show them off, but in the ring she was meaner than a pit bull! Anyhow, keep on drinking your milk!!!

  • this hairstyle fits you very well, I really like it on you, gives you a more polished look!. this is the one for you! the only thing again you are missing is a little makeup, maye some eyelashes too, but not overkill, just a little bit.

  • I'll try to take that as a compliment... but as I said before, I am not a big makeup person. I have a baby and a husband, so makeup is kissed off of me throughout the day. Besides that, I think it feels gross and I can't scratch my face! LOL I think a little mascara and eyeliner is plenty for this face... I prefer to be natural. Now if YOU like a lot of make up, more power to ya :)

  • Hi girl !

I wanted to say that your video are very nice and usefull !

    Thank you so much !

And I always like your dresses, you're very pretty =).

Some kind words from a french girl.

(Oh furthermore, sorry for my english haha).

  • Thank you so much! :))

  • If you were doing pin curls would there be a specific pattern you'd use to set the curls? I've seen old diagrams that break everything up into sections and the curls go in different directions. Maybe it's not necessary?

  • Oh man, I am so sorry for not noticing this sooner!!! I usually do the same pattern no matter what style I am doing, because the brushing is more important than the setting (well, most often that is). I set all of the pin-curls going away from the direction of my face, usually in three layers :) If you watch my first pin-curl video, you will see a link in the info box to a diagram that I have always used :)) Thank you, dear!

  • Hey Girl,

You totally rock! My friend and I were looking for do's for her friend's wedding tomorrow and you just saved us a lot of hassle. Thanks babe. xoxoxo

  • i love this video, your adorable! i love your vintage style as well

  • Awe, thank you! ^_^

  • I fear that I have far too much hair for this one. Victory rolls are my downfall! I find pompadours OK though :)

  • your smile at the beginning is beautiful.

uhm, sorry for asking, but what color are yours eyes? they keep changing, lol. anyways, they're very pretty.

  • Awe, thank you! And they're hazel... if the lighting is rough, the green doesn't show up at all, and if it's bright, it exaggerates the green! haha ^_^

  • very nice video...have you tried using a stronger hairspray before you curl your hair....i find it helps keep curls .

  • Great video !!!

  • Thank you, dear!

  • Very cute. I love your top or your dress, whichever it is. :)

  • 40's dress, thank you so much! :)

  • you are so lovely dear =D

    I'm going to try this!

  • Do you accept hairstyle requests? I have a hairstyle that I love that I just can't seem to recreate. :]

  • I have a pretty full plate (with blogging, flickr, baby, blah blah blah) so I am embarrassingly slow to getting to my requests, but yes! I definitely accept any requests, especially if I have a picture as an example if it is an unusual hairstyle :)

  • i need better hot rollers...=(

  • It's ok. just use foam rollers or pin curls, they're better anyway :)

  • You explain very well :)

  • Thank you! :)

  • this look is so lovely !!!

  • Thanks, dear! :D

  • Lol I love it "A lovechild between a victory roll and a popmpadour"

  • heehee :3

  • Thanks:)

  • Thank YOU, love! :)

  • Thanks :)

  • another v cute look!! how many megapixels does your cam have? it makes it really easy to see what you're doing! unlike my bleary piece of crap haha :p x

  • Oh that is really pretty!. I have naturally curly hair that loves to frizz out in the humidity. lol How are you all doing? :) I haven't talked to you in a while. I've been so busy lately! Christian starts Kindergarten Monday!

    Emily

  • Oh! And you replicated the look beautifully...:)

  • Thanks so, so much! :D

  • I like the clips on those hot rollers. Why brand are yours? I actually am in the market for some...realized the other day that mine are 15 years old. heheh.

  • They are Remington, a cheap brand from Wall-mart! lol, they are ok... but you are right, the clips are nice :)

  • I really love your channel! I love 1940s-50s hairstyles but trust me, wearing them wouldn't taken very nicely in my community. But I love your videos!

  • Awe, that's too bad! But I am glad that you enjoyed it ^_^

  • Hey, me and Aya live in the southern U S. If we can do it, anyone can!!

  • i like the shape of your eyes so cute.you look innocent.pretty hair style.yeah my hair is very thick and naturally curly so it frizzes in humidty.

  • Awe, thank you =^_^=

  • Hope u know by now, ur awesome, nice work.

  • lol, Thanks!! :)

  • Did people with naturally curly hair still curl their hair to do these looks, for more perfect curls?

  • I think it varied from person to person... some people worked with their curls, while others pin-curled their hair for more controlled results :)

  • nice! as always

  • Thanks, dear! :)

  • it's gorgeous, thanks :) x

  • Thank you so much!

  • Beautiful!

  • Thank you!

  • Wonderful as always! Enjoy rest of your weekend x
