  • Neden türkçesi yok bunun yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • I've always liked this series. I think part of it is because each episode seems like a mini theatrical production ( aka, Play )

  • that king so stupid at 4:22

  • If I were the girl I would just slap the shit out of the lil man and throw him out the window

  • Goddamn that unicorn is ugly, the forest got his ass from the bargain bin at big lots.

  • Rumplestiltskin needs to take some anger management classes.

  • poor strange little man

  • That last little troll to leave the party may have forgotten his cap, but he still runs Bartertown!

  • Creepe

  • Not exactly what anyone would call "happily ever after"... She's married to a fat ugly greedy king who threatened to kill her and killed the little dude who saved her life and worked his butt off for 3 nights in order to save her. Geez

  • Im going to boil them and eat them and kill them and kill them again and burn them and boil them and eat them hahahaha what the fuck thid shit was crazy for little kids

  • Wow I used to watch all the shelly duvall joints with my older sister now that im watching them they were pretty scary lol

  • This was fairly faithful to the original tale, except for the fact that there is no wizard in it at all, and no animals (let alone a unicorn...!), instead she sent messengers into the woods who reported his name to her. The end of Rumpelstilzchen is pretty close though, only that when he stamps his foot and it gets caught in the ground, he then accidentally tears himself apart.

  • @Punki80

Oh, and no friends of Rumpelstilzchen of course ;), he was singing all alone and dancing round a fire and only mentioning his name in his song.

  • i liked the song rumpelstiltskin and his friends were singing

  • she's a BIATCH for sure!!!!!

  • I cant umderstand his voice

  • I cant understand rumplestiltskin at all

  • Cute baby.

  • 4:24 to 4:34

You can hear the camera crew laughing in the background because of the baby XDD

  • I suppose this fairy tale could be considered to have a moral about not making deals with the devil, so to speak. Bare in mind that most of the well known fairytales were originally meant purely for entertainment, it is only in more modern times that the morality play element got introduced.

  • I love this Rump... he should have had the queen neutered, she was going to sacrifice the kid and then she realised that she liked it and she spawned with a homicidal migit... just creepy...

I'm on Rumps side with this one, i'm curious to see an alternative ending where the rump raised a handsome dashing young prince peasant boy who understands the value of keeping a promise

  • I LOVED Faerie Tale Theatre as a child, brings back so many memories! Rumpelstiltskin is so creepy!! Can't believe I wasn't more scared of this when I was younger! :)

  • Love it

  • baby pony-corn? O.o

  • I'll admit...I've never seen another Rumpelstiltskin movie or actor, but this actor was amazing.

But I also think that he WAS the one done wrong, for all we know he could have raised the child to have an even better life (not mate with it or kill it for supper as many have thought :/

All in all, this was all very well acted by all and I took like notice of the cheapness (compared to today's standards, I guess) in things they used.

    <3

  • @CrazyGrin I know that actor Billy Barty played as Rumplestiltskin on a musical version of "Rumplestiltskin."

  • Rumpelstiltskin is a horrible story. I feel that Rump... was the real victim here. He did all that hard work for that bitch and she doesn't live up to her promises. Plus, she marries a man who threated to have her put to death if she didn't do what he wanted her to do. I'm not sure if Disney should make this into an animated film because it's so shady.

  • @elmando5 Agreed...

  • Is that Master (of MasterBlaster) as the last g00blin to leave?

  • @TiniNormi holy crap it is :O

  • what disturbin little trolls

  • The whole part where Rumpelstiltskin goes into a rage used to mix my emotions as a child between being afraid and yet also amused.

  • That ain't no unicorn! Watch the movie "Legend", that's where you will see what a unicorn looks like!

  • haha horse just has a little thing stuck to his head and they call it a unicorn ! hahaha gotta love the special effects

  • In my story, their happiness might not last forever.

  • LMAO!!! rumpelstiltskin is hilarious

  • haha short fat fuzzy unicorn

  • 4:15, She knows now.

  • its a Unicorn... omg...its so fluffy im gonna die.....ITS SO FLUUUUUFFFFYY (those who saw despicable me join me in the fluffy)

  • Guys, why is everyone baggin' on the poor girlie? I mean what power did she really have when she MADE the promises?? Should someone without any rights or power be held to the same level as say, the king..who had all the power and kept her prisoner?? Shouldn't she look for any way out out of a promise made under such duress? Who was the real victim? Who was the powerless one? Rumpledipoo had the power, the king had the power not her..gosh guys..didn't any of you think of that?

  • What a happy ending! The miller's daughter gets to keep her child and all of her forest friends who helped her will be boiled and eaten and killed and boiled and eaten again. What a great display of true friendship.

  • It's a mini unicorn!

  • I kill them and I eat them and kill them and boil them and eat them again!

  • cool

  • I love that miniature pony. ...the pony just is right on cue and nice looking.

  • Lol. "Ha! The prince has spoken!" The only moment that asshole has been likeable at all is when he's with that baby. :D

  • Apparently, the sets and costumes were inspired by the art of N.C. Wyeth. I've been looking into his works and there definitely is a similarity.

  • 0:56 Oh I bet you are. No wonder why. Have a look in the mirror.

4:02 Thanks fidget. Can you be any more obvious?

  • this story has no moral

  • the unicorn is a shetland pony; that's either the cheapest or cutest thing ever

  • And they all lived happily ever after... as for the whereabouts of Rumpelstiltskin, he hasn't been seen since.

  • 8:47- Fred FUCHS? Fred Fuchs! Oh my God, Fred Fuchs!

  • 5:50-7:02

  • Thank u so much for this, im 31 and i was looking for this!! and specially Rumpelstiltskin ;)

  • i am trying to understand the moral... i mean... The miller for lying...the woman for not fullfilling her promises...i mean Rumplestiltskin was only accepting what was his in the end... v.v

  • I guess the moral is: boasting can get you into serious trouble, and: don't make promises you can't keep.

  • yes but when in desperate times we will do all we can to save ourselves. what if she didnt make the promise? she would have died for her fathers sake and we would learn that we should lie to save outselves... v.v why doesnt the king learn something? i mean..REALLY

  • I guess the moral is: human beings are not perfect. We all lie at some point and those lies both prevent trouble and cause it at the same time. The point is, you will overcome.

  • 1.) An alternative explanation is that the tale could have been meant to teach women the importance of performing a supporting role in their later marriage. The gift of spinning straw into gold is seen here as a metaphor for the value of household skills. Indeed, the king in this tale does not seem to be interested in the girl besides her alleged magical capabilities — even though her beauty is mentioned in passing — and she exists only to bring him riches and bear his children

  • 2.) Rumpelstiltskin's desire for the child was an old myth that warned children not to go out by themselves or else, hobgoblins, dwarfs, etc. would steal them and replace them with changelings of their own kind.

  • 3.) When you identify your problems and give them a name, they lose power over you.

    and

4.) Bragging leads only to trouble and most often it causes the suffering of the one's we love most.

  • @CatBonner13 Fairytales aren't really about morals hehe. They are adventure and fantasy stories.

  • @sugarmagnolia17 unfortunately that is untrue. All film is based on the cummunity of the time, moral, and such. there is no film on earth that is not meant to sway you into thinking a specific way. Obvious representations are All Disney films, Barbie Films, and popular movies such as 2012. others that must be researeched in great depth are Fatal Attraction, Alien, Rosemary's Baby, and MORE.

  • @CatBonner13 Guys, why is everyone baggin' on the poor girlie? I mean what power did she really have when she MADE the promises?? Should someone without any rights or power be held to the same level as say, the king..who had all the power and kept her prisoner?? Shouldn't she look for any way out out of a promise made under such duress? Who was the real victim? Who was the powerless one? Rumpledipoo had the power, the king had the power not her..gosh guys..didn't any of you think of that?

  • @JukesD Gosh girls didnt anyone think that that is life. power is displaced and we all have to keep what we promise? my boss tells me what to do and i have an obligation to complete what i promised in earlier contracts. He has more power over me, this, however, ends in a way life would not end, Rumple fading into nothing. -shrugs- a bad rebuddle would be to note its a fairy tale, because your right and fairy tales influence our youth and teach >

  • @CatBonner13 them how to experiance life.. this is one story that teaches nothing but lies, orders, and men are superior ha give me princess and the pea or the Snow queen any day

  • @CatBonner13 yeah not very... educational

  • @kittenbut1 Well, we may not be able to take a lesson from the story now. But we can learn something from the fact that the story EXISTED and that it meant something to some people at a certain point in time. In fact, the whole story is widely interpreted now as a antisemitic slur.

  • @stephantom but what was the point????

  • @CatBonner13 sometimes you gotta fight to survive. First born childs were too precious back then.

  • 5:50, Rumpelstiltskin's reaction to the Miller's daughter guessing his name.

  • Did you know that Herve Villechaize was applying real emotion to that scene, not just acting? He was getting out alot of frustration and anger. Shelley Duvall's reaction to this is genuine, she was actually frightened by it.

  • really? wow...i did know that he committed suicide cuz of everything that went on, and that he even almost shot his agent in anger. but wow, i thought he was just acting as scary as he could here.

  • He commited suicide due to his health.

That was both acting and pure, pent up anger.

  • wow...

  • What a great story, I always loved this show, great production beautiful costumes and scenery, acting and emotion! I am 28 years old, and I always remembered this show, I am so glad it is on YOUTUBE! Fairy tales are not just for little kids, they are for everyone Young and old!

  • @maleficentdiva

I am 21, and I love it, too

Kids nowadays have no idea what fun shows like this were to watch! I agree with your comment about fairy tales being for both young and old- my mom's favourite has always been Sleeping Beauty while mine is The

    Little Mermaid

  • Yes! I've always find myself humming that Rumpelstiltskin song and was wonderin where it came from. It's been so long.

  • That unicorn is hideous! O_o

  • what the hell happened to RUmplestiltskin?

  • He was arrested for killing the witches of Dangerous Wood and the evil frog of Black River. But he escaped, and to this day, has not been seen or heard from.

  • Do you mean from 6:53-7:02? If so, I think he was just disappearing because maybe a spell was put on him that if the miller finds out what his name is, he will disappear and die. (Whoever put the spell on him, I guess it was taking time for the spell to work which is why nothing was happening to him from 5:51-6:52 or maybe he was given sixty seconds of last words). I thought he was disappearing because he was stomping and screaming where I thought his foot got caught in the floor at 6:53).

  • @afriendofbean in the grimm story his Hatred causes him to split in half. Kind of graphic really. I don't think they were too clear on what happened in the episode though

  • @aMgVbros4aetas I didn't know about that in the Grimm story. I remember on a musical version of "Rumplestiltskin" with actor Billy Barty playing as Rumplestiltskin, as soon as the miller found out that his name was Rumplestiltskin, his anger words were "I have been swined, robbed, tricked, the devil told you that", and then he screamed with steam coming out of his ears and stomped his foot, and a fire pit opened underneath him and he fell inside the fire pit and then the floor closed.

  • @afriendofbean from the Grimm story " The devil told you that! the devil told you that!" cried the little man, and in his anger he stamped with his right foot so hard that it went into the ground above his knee, then he seized his left foot with his hands in such a fury that he split into two, and there was an end of him"

  • @aMgVbros4aetas I wasn't familiar with the Grimm story but, it's nice to hear what it was about with Rumplestiltskin. I remember reading a book on Rumplestiltskin where the miller said his name and Rumplestiltskin was holding a magical flying spoon and he said "the devil told you that" and he was stomping with anger on his flying spoon then he climbed on top of his flying spoon and flew away on it like a witch.

  • What is Rumpelstiltskin??

is he a dwaf?? of a human Goblin??

  • depends on the variation of the legend.

  • *nod* true

  • The miller made all of that possible for his daughter, and she couldn't hook him up??? ...I guess that's what he gets for giving her away to such a selfish, greedy asshole!

  • What do you mean hook him up??

  • lol. why would she merry someone who threaten to kill her.

what would he do if he came home from work and dinner was not ready?

  • Watch the Cannon Movie Tales version. That version gives it slightly more sense.

  • They're king and queen. They have servants who prepare their meals. That or he'd make the wizard do it.

  • Can you post from the 4th Series Episode 4:

Grimm Party (also known as "Faerie Tale Theatres Greatest Moments" (shown on July 17, 1985)?
