No, you can do campaign as single or as CO-OP. I play CO-OP with my 9 year old brother, its easier with 2 people

The Weapons and Customization in this game couldnt be better. Very very deep. Its just sad and unfortunate that EA was lazy with actually "authentic reload animations" . You never ever see a clip or magazine get swapped out of weapons during game play while reloading. That really sucks. Attention to detail is something I like alot.

Bad Company has a funnier singleplayer, but the online is ruled by modders and over-balances everything.

Army of Two is more tactical and is more of your tactical co-op shooter.

you just have to wait for one another to finish up and that can take some time depending on how many things your partner's gonna buy.

So I suggest you first get what you want before going online/split-screen.

the storyline consists of a tutorial and 6 levels, it may sound short, but the levels vary from 1 hour to up to 3 hours long EACH. also I think the aim of the game is to get the most and best guns aswell as completing the game on all the difficulties and play online versus.

there are uhh 5 missions in storymode, but all misions are freaking long as hell.

I'm guessing 7 to 9 hours of gameplay worth.. die-hards 5 to 7.

I'd say, go rent it for a week or 2.
