  • We just got this machine at my gym, and I've been trying to get the hang of it, but I wonder just how effective it is.

Does it work glutes or hamstrings?

  • @NycCuban both

  • 750 pound squat.

  • how heavy of a squat should i be at before i try doing GHR?

  • dont break at the waist...stop parallel to the ground

  • @jillodogsoldier The guys at Sorinex are considered pretty serious and knowledgeable lifters. I've seen a lot of people doing these wrong in "GHR form checks". This guy is right. A lot of people do what you're saying and only go back to a parallel state, or have their knees in the hip pad. You're knees should clear the pad by a few inches at start, and you should go down to a 90 degree bend at the waist, back straight/arched the entire time. Check out the BiggerFasterStronger Glute-Ham Book

  • I have this bench but I didn't know you do it like this, I'm gonna start doing these.

  • This exercise will really blow up one's hams!
