For the record, similar events were occurring and similar speeches were being given on the other side. We all know who won, at least in 1918, but we also all know the results.
@dinukaperera2809 my great uncle won a VC September 1 & 2 1918 - capturing 3 machine gun posts, capturing 9 POWs advancing behind enemy lines to take a bridge and the carrying a wounded mate on his shoulders. not taking anything away from the story told in this mini series but compared to my great uncles effort flanagan received the correct medal.... respect !!
Wikipedia: "With the First Australian Imperial Force understrength, one battalion in each brigade was ordered to disband to provide reinforcements to the other battalions within the brigades, with the 60th Battalion ordered to disbanded. The men, however mutinied, and after being spoken to by the highly regarded Brigadier Harold Edward Elliott, the battalion disbanded on 27 September 1918."
@policemanaaron it's the samething with the 193rd Battalion of the Nova Scotia in like 1916-17 for reinforcements for other units in Europe in the First world war, my Great Grandmothers brother was part of the 193rd Battalion of the Nova Scotia Highlanders WWI, he was killed in Action on August 27th 1918 where he died of his wounds he was only 23yrs old

Never seen this series. Is that supposed to be Rawlison? If so he's dead on. Looks just like him.
