No. Don't like Morishima. Winning the title on your second show (I know he did appear before but he didn't have a scheduled match) is stupid, especially since Joe beat him on his first! I can see that ROH is trying to expand on the World scene but couldn't they at least have put the title on KENTA or CIMA? Now with the tag titles being held by Shingo & Naruki Doi, there are no belts to defend, looks like we could see an ROH vs Japan feud!

Morishima is just doing his job of being a cocky puro heel. ROH probably dropped the belt to him because they wanted to solidify the fact. I do believe there could have been other choices, but I am not going to crap on him on first impression. Oh, and isn't it ironic that they foreshadowed the events with the music he used?

I agree with the sect of people against Morishima as champ. Yes, it is a fairly interesting angle to have this guy win the title out of nowhere, but as others have said there are a lot better choices out of the many japanese wrestlers that do tours through ROH. Morishima is pretty much a complete unknown amongst most American wrestling fans. I disagree with him as champ, and I wanted to see Cide with a longer reign

Um, to me it does matter that he looks like a fat little girl. And thats not the only reason I've criticized him. I don't like his behavior after winning the title. Several ROH wrestlers came out to congratulate him, as is the custom, and he attacks them. Seems like a real dirtbag move to me, disrespecting the whole HONOR part of Ring of HONOR like that.

I know who Morishima is, he's is a great wrestler, ROH Champ material, but not after his SECOND match in a company that he's only doing a tour in. If he were to win it maybe a few matches later, then it would make more since. He didn't beat Samoa Joe, so I would have booked him to face Joe again and have him win. And he was gonna face Homicide in a tag match later on. Have him pin him, announce he's gonna face and then have the match. That would have made more since in my mind.

There is nothing special about this guy, except he's a duplicate to Joe and he's stiff...Homicide was a good choice for World Champ. Drop the belt to someone worthy....like Rave, Cabana, hell even Shingo. I'm figuring if ROH put the World Title on Morishima they could get publicity in Japan...maybe even NOAH/Dragon Gate. Hell put in some extra cash and convince Alex Shelley to come back and be World Champ
