  • Beste Version in Standart die

    ich bisher gehört habe.

    Wirklich klasse!!!!!!!

  • @ferfried6 Dankeschön!!!

  • Check out Mississippi Fred McDowell's Original. Great version here though, Bro.

  • I have the same problem with the harmonica in a hold and it's very frustrating because I'm fist a harmonica player and second a slide guitar apprentice. When I play both nothing sounds good. Not your case. It's just great. Keep goin'.

  • sounds good

  • very nice

  • Awesome job Rev.

  • wicked good

  • Its very good ^^

  • you say it sounds boring,I disagree,it sounds great!Good job on this one.

  • Excellent job on this blues classic.

  • cleaner and less dirty than the stones version, but really really really great rendition of a blues masterpiece... keep up the good work!

  • woow... great job my friend !!

  • enjoying my sunday morning here in louisiana watching all your blues videos, that must be a cedar top on that guitar it sounds very warm

  • Brilliant. Very well done!

  • Thanks a lot, Olga :-)

  • Awesome cover bro. Wow! and TY.

  • Thank YOU, sis :o)

  • great work man! thank you!

  • Why, thank YOU for leaving this kind comment :-)

  • Hey man...any way you can send me a tab of your version of You got to Move? I learned your Nasty man Blues by watching the video but im not good enough to get this one just by watching.

  • Thanks for your comment, the problem is that I hardly ever use any tabs, and I have absolutely no idea how to do them, probably pretty time consuming ...

    I made this up myself

  • Great version!

    Joe

  • Thanks a lot, Joe ;-)

  • The original was by Fred McDowell, was it not?

Good stuff anyway, the harp sounds good!

  • Yeah, it was, well I guess so ...

    Thanks a lot!

  • thats really good. you make it sound the same with an acoustic as the stones did. what chords are those that you play, though. i havent figured that song out but you got it to perfection

  • Thanks a lot, an enormous compliment.

I guess my guitar was tuned don to D but the capo was on the 2nd fret. So I play it in A

    , the chords are A, D and E

  • pleasing unpretentious to the ear !! thxalot

  • Thanks a lot :o)

  • Hey, another great vid.

  • Thanks a lot!!! :-)

  • i randomly started looking up blues music and i found this. blues has always a favorite of mine

    very nice

  • Thanks a lot for that kind comment!!!

  • I stumbled upon this video through a Google search. Almost didn't watch it but I'm glad I did. You have a great voice and I like the pacing. Thanks! Will check out your other posts.

  • Thanks a lot, hope you'll find sth worth while :-)

  • you played very well, you must be profesional, i wish someday can play the armonic like you do, bye

  • Thanks a lot, Thomas. It's a hobby and I am self taught. Try it, it's a lot of fun!!!

  • I only saw him once and he played "I took her in the kitchen and she wouldn't say quit" on the banjo. He was basically a little more dynamic

  • Never heard that song, too bad ...

  • and i desagree with the description. i like the blues harp.

    :oP

  • Thanks a lot, Polá. It's not so much that I "hate" what I did here, but when you listen to blues harp player like kokoro86 you see that you can do much more with the harmonica in your hands

  • for me, in music, its not a question of doing more or less with the instrument, but passing something, a feeling, no matter the difficulty or number of notes, or even speed, as some solists may think. Sometimes, just creating an atmosphere is enough... Sometimes, less is more, but, rsrs, i understand nothing about this subject. I just feel it.

I liked the song and the arrangement. If you want to desagree, let s choose a place and an hour and lets meet to figth, 007!

    rsrsrs

  • LOL, I agree that technique has nothing to do with feeling and vice versa, but playing the harp in a hold is a bit playing the piano with just three fingers and without the sostenuto

  • kkkkkkkkkkkk

    pow!

    ok, rssrsrsrs, you wan!

    :oD

i think you should record another version without that awful blues in a hold harp!!!

    kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    ;oP

  • Ohh gee, guess I won't do that I hate re-doing things, haven't got the patience.

Let's call it a draw LOL

  • you have nothing to change in "you gotta move", 07!

rsrs "it may be hi, it may be low", but it s perfect like this, and i m almost memorising the lyrics with this harp discussion here!

    kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • :o)

    leaving here your 18th rate...

  • Muito obrigado, Polá lo apprezzo molto :-)

  • calma calma!!!!

("aprezar" em portugues é ir rapido demais ( = to hurry)..rsrs)

    rsrs

  • Allora come si dice "appreciate" in portoghese, cara? ;--)

  • io ho capito. ma io era joking!

in portuguese, that seemed like: "Polá, i m making it too quickly!"

    rsrsrs

    :o)

but i know you were talking in italian...rsrs

apreciated in brazil is "gostei", there is "apreciar", too, but sounds like old language. And "apressar", like, "te apresso", is "I make you run/do quickly"...

    ;o)

  • Ho capito che avevi jokato, ma sono sempre curioso per le lingue ;-) no te faccio apressar because eu no apresso demais ...

  • kkkkk

    ã? (in brazilian)

    uhm? (en français)

    dãã? (in dutch)

i beg your pardon (in british)

    rsrs

Antonio, changing the subject a bit, i loved this song! Each time i like it more!

    :o)

  • rsrs

    sr - it

lch - ger??? Germans don't have their own rsrs, gotta invent it

Thanks a lot, Polá, that's very sweet to say

  • WOW that was mello and right in the pocket. I love that song, Hey check out Midnight Blues to see my version of instrumental fingerpickin guitar and harp

  • Antonio, That was one of your best Blues songs!! Loved it!!!

  • Aw, you're comments are always so nice, LaDonna, really love reading them! Thanks a lot, I consider this mission accomplished now ;-)

  • wow bro awesome

    you are the coolest man

  • Hey mg, I'm flattered, man!!! Thanks a lot!!!

As for being the coolest, guess only one can get that title and your definitely worth it ;-)

  • Yeah, you got the blues, caro! :o)

  • Grazie mille, cara ;-)

  • spot on

  • Thanks a lot, osbert!!!

  • Great job BLUESMAN!

  • Hi Gil, thanks a lot ;-)

  • freakin' terrific buddy... You're a Blues Boy allright! The sound / video synch is hardly a problem when I view it here. The only thing I notice (and I don't think you can control this) is that your audio QUALITY is so superior to the YouTubed video stream - Great Work 15*s for you!

  • Oh boy, Bill, you're so kind, man. I'm blushing!

I'm uploading mp4 files, you do Quicktime, don't you? Might try this, too. Have a faster connection now :-)

  • I was originally uploading native AVI files encoded directly by my Canon Powershot SD30

(Which I STILL use for all my video and audio)

Then I started stripping the Wav file, cleaning the background sounds of domestic squabbles and traffic outside, and remuxing in, then taking the uncompressed AVI vid and compressing it with DivX Converter afterwards, and the synch problems are all but gone, so far as I can tell since I started using the new method

  • Thanks Marc, gonna try that ;-)

  • Yes super playing and singing again Antonio

  • Hi David, thanks a lot. Any ideas why the sound is out of snych in all my videos for 1/2 a second or so, it's really nerve wrecking cause I tried all different kinds of "encoding tricks" without any improvement

  • Really nice..I'm only familiar with the stones version ..great playing!!

  • Hi Jon, thanks a lot. If you ever get the chance to hear C.W.'s version do it, it's fantastic!

  • hey what kinda guitar is that?

  • It's a Garrison G20 LCE, Canadian company.

  • Garrison guitars are based in Newfoundland, Canada.they ere a good bang for your buck. Interesting that they use non-wood bracing in the models I've played. doesn't seem to affect the tonal quality at all as far as i can tell.

  • Yeah, that's what I thought, too, when I first tried it. First, I was sceptical about that "plastic" - bracing, but they do sound good and yes: a very good bang for your buck!!!

  • Want to know whats freaky-wierd? Here I am sitting here trying to re-familarise myself with 'death don't have no mercy' and you post a gary davis tune.

All the same, rock-solid playing my friend. Another fine rendition!

  • Hi Shane, yeah, that'a kinda spooky!

    We're real Blues Brothers ;-)

I'm looking forward to hearing that one!!!

Thanks for your kind comment, again. Should have tuned the guitar to the harp instead of tuning it with a tuner: sounds slightly out of tune I'd say ...
