  • The way he talks seems kinda weird...it's subtle, but it's there

  • any man that preys on women are dam fucking cowards and deserve to get fucking raped in prison like bundy..

  • sure he might be a sociopatical/pshycopatical rapist/killer

    but hes one suave motherfucker

  • They didn't do investigatory internal controls and background checks in the 70's dating gameshow. In today's world, 2011, everything is monitored and dating services scan a dates background criminal history and references as part of the security measures and there are different policies that help to keep people safer. Hard to believe he was bachelor number one and the winner.

  • Hahaha she won a date with a serial killer and rapist oh man./... thats how they catch the women so sweet and funny.. and a nice looking fella.. boom she's dead..

    +

  • @Dorisequador To her credit, she actually backed out of the date because Alcala creeped her out.

  • @KevServo Smart girl .. one of the only smart ones .. so many were not so smart and died for it.

  • Nothing unusual about him? Man, he mentioned the best time was "at night" and he wasn't even descriptive why! He wasn't descriptive in any of his answers. That lady profiler is complete epic fail.

  • If I was a producer on a dating game show, I would hope for as many serial killers and sex-offenders as possible. Imagine how much more fun Big Brother would have been if more people died.

  • @ratpoisoner666 I'll get you a guest spot in there somewhere.

  • If she saw nothing unusual in the clip, she isn't a very good profiler.

  • obnoxius dark slimy sounds like every guy trying to get a girls number in a club

  • Good god could the narrator SHUT THE FUCK UP and let the people talk?! This reminds me exactly why I don't watch tv anymore.

  • only in america can a child molester get on a tv show

  • I think he looks kind of like a young David Hasselhoff

  • Wow that's crazy. I hope they do background checks these days if they ever do a modern Dating Game version. He looked like a rapist on the show. I wonder if he ever did anything to this woman on their date. You never know. Some women are too scared to come forward and tell and some just want to forget. I wonder...

  • @flipultarhd There have been guys on reality tv dating shows w/checkered pasts, so no, it hasn't gotten much better.

  • @flipultarhd Great thought! They should try and find her to question her about her date with him. Even if she is too scared to come forward (if anything bad happened, of course), she should do it to contribute to the understanding of this fiend.

  • @susp1 Some websites say that after getting to know him a little better after the show, she decided he was creepy and didn't go on the date afterall. Who knows, he probably would have killed her or raped her. It makes me so sick to think of what he did to that poor 8 year old girl. How could anyone do such a thing? What a monster!!

  • @flipultarhd Ok, thanks flipultarhd!

  • @susp1 We can't say what she should do. She must be very upset and even traumatised by being so close to a killer and not knowing what he had done. Her privacy should be respected.

  • @bossendenwoodconvict After thinking about it..you're right. Someone said she didn't even date him because she was so creeped out by him after the show. Anyway, her privacy should be respected, I agree.

  • @susp1 Thanks for agreeing!

  • Did that woman survive? hope she did

  • @cuervotaylor

Not to worry, she did. Apparently after the show, Cheryl began to feel uneasy and spooked by him, and she refused to go on any dates. Thanks goodness!

  • "Peel me. Like I'm going peel off your skin."

"Uh, what was that, Bachelor Number 1?"

    "Er, I mean, I'm a banana!"

  • Of course he one. Serial Killers are hot. Have you seen Dexter? Sexy man right there.

  • It only looks cheezy, jeezus, that guy creeps me out

  • of course he won...psychopaths are charming

  • I watched this awhile back, unaware of this man's criminal backround, and I thought he was hilarious and just fun. I think he could have been...If he wasn't a rapist/serial killer.

  • They shoulda fuckin done better on their background checks!!

  • @ManningHhh It was in the 70-80's. Fuckin' calm down. >.>

  • We'll have a great time Shirl...Im called banana... WTF!

  • I knew right away just watching him on tv that something was not right with him. Didn't even know anything about him either.

  • was the bachorlett girl on the game was one of the victims??? he so creepy. so obssesive on the game.

  • @lovedancin No she wasn't a victim. She never went on the date with him either.

  • One of the creepiest clips out there.

  • Despite the fact that he was a convicted child molester at the time, he was still allowed by the producers of this show to be a contestant. What in the world?

  • @Tony63909 Yeah... they should cancel that dating show.

  • @Tony63909 it's fucked up. theres a book and a doc. on him. so much pain could have been prevented.

rodney has no conscience, enjoyed killing, he used to torture his victims, make them pass out via choking, repeat over and over. he had avg or above avg looks, genius IQ, he could have achieved anything instead he rots in a tiny prison cell, murdered so many, destroyed so many lives. what a waste rodney

was he born evil ? did his evil ways develop ?

  • @mjccmc82 I have always been intrigued by cases like that of this guy. Good people like yourself and perhaps me are attracted to these cases becauses it is so unlike what you and I are, that we feel a desperation to try to understand what could create someone like an Alcali. What I can't understand is that, if he is as intelligent as we believe him to be, why did he not see his psychosis and seek help to deal with it. Ultimately he chose to ignore his God given gifts. I hope he burns in hell.

  • @mjccmc82 I live in Chicago and we have our share of the homeless and mentally ill here too. I interviewed a psychologist from the University of Florida who was currently treating men who were convicted of sexually abusing children. He said that there are many people walking around that are sexual deviants that simply refuse to act on their impulses because they know it is against the law and that it would hurt their potential victims. Rod Alcala acted on his impulses because he didn't care.

  • @mjccmc82 Evil is a choice. We all have free will and we choose to do good or evil. It has nothing to do with religion, genes, or upbringing. I've known people who were viciously abused as children who grew up to be wonderful people and I've known people who had wonderful childhoods who grew up to be criminals. All because they chose to.

  • @JamiJR I agree with part of your statement, however, some people have a predisposition, and there are certain events that trigger certain things, but I agree, there are people who have had to deal w parents who were drug addicts, poverty, abuse, etc. who grow up to be good people, nobody is perfect, whereas there are people who grew up w loving families, went to the best schools, had lots of friends, and turn out to be a wolf in sheeps clothing, but w serial killers there are always "red"flags

  • @JamiJR Doesn't that prove that "evil" isn't a choice?

  • @JamiJR "I've known people who were viciously abused as children who grew up to be wonderful people and I've known people who had wonderful childhoods who grew up to be criminals."

Then there were other factors you're not taking into account. I do believe in free will, but only insofar as it allows us to be aware of what controls our lives. It does not give us the ability to reverse any of the elements that created us.

  • @Tony63909 Why is it that whenever anyone is talking about a rapist or serial killer they say that they are a child molester? Rodney Alcala was caught with a lot of pictures of teenage boys and he was convicted of providing marijuana to a minor but even if he was a child molester he wasn't convicted of it. Do a little research, it really isn't hard

  • @ausdude77 You're right. It would not have been just to not allow as wonderful, considerate and kind a man as Rodney Alcala on the "Dating Game" just because he was convicted of "providing Marijuana to a minor".

  • @Tony63909 Listen to what i said. He isn't a convicted child molester. Neither was Hitler, it doesn't mean they were good people. I'm simply saying; learn to do a little research before blindly agreeing with people on YouTube

  • @ausdude77 The guy had a history of raping and murdering women. It is reasonable that, though not convicted,he raped that 12-year-old child before he killed her.. In my book, convicted or not, he is a child molester.

  • @Tony63909 Aaaaand, he was fresh off another murder when he appeared on the show.

  • @ausdude77 erm in 1968 he raped and beat an 8 year old girl....maybe you should research before writing it isn't really that hard

  • @Tony63909 it was the 70's

  • @Tony63909

Background searches in the late 70's were not what they are today. Why does it surprise you that this guy was contestant on the dating game?

  • @stuckinthecities According to Anderson Cooper, Alcala "had an already violent record when this episode aired".Perhaps I am mistaken, but the show could have checked to see if had had a criminal record prior to having him on because The program is designed to have people meet each other. Perhaps in the 70's life was alot more pure and wholesome then it is now.

  • @Tony63909 I think they were just more naive back then. My dad told me about how he and his family would often sleep with the doors to their house unlocked back in the 70s, despite the fact that statistics showed that crime was rising

  • LAbels> who cares if hes a sociopath Psychopath> hes just an evil spawn from hell!

  • OMG no one has any instincts. The first time I saw this even before I knew he was a killer I didnt think he was right. Look at those beady evil eyes and the way he laughs YUCK that image would scare the crap out of me!Hes an ugly man!!! and it shows.

  • he had pics of over 100 kids and woman he could of killed up to 100 the pros and investigators say

  • I used to live in the Huntington Beach area.I remember one girl that was kidnapped by this guy.

  • Pat Brown wishes she had some real understanding of serial killers, but instead she just has anger and frustration at them and those who try to profile them. She hasn't arrived at any real or useful knowledge.

  • he wasn't a psychopath, he was a sociopath. Serial killers tend to be sociopaths.

  • @XsilentXescapeX Oh yeah? How do you know? Or are you just parroting what you've read.

  • @ericjungleboy Well, I don't have first hand experience if that's what you're asking. I have read about and studied Psychology and Forensics and there is a difference between sociopaths and psychopaths. Sociopaths are clever and think out their plans and thats why they tend to be serial killers who go on killing for years without getting caught. Psychopaths tend to be the mass murderers who just go on killing sprees, shooting up schools and not caring what happens.

  • @XsilentXescapeX It's often said that serial killers are sociopaths in the sense that they can't feel empathy. To this I object. Psychologists and profilers who fail to understand or relate to the killer's perspective say this as a copout. The truth is more complex. Most serial killers can feel empathy, but their sexual drive to kill overwhelms all else. They are able to detach themselves for the sake of doing it, but there's another part of them that wants to stop, that feels horrible about it.

  • @ericjungleboy My comment was solely based on his personality. As a killer he seemed sociopathic; nice, charming, funny, etc. Was he empathetic after he killed? I have no idea because i haven't looked into him at all. But yes, i will acknowledge that some sociopathic killers feel empathy. But you should also keep open the thought that not all do. Some of them have no remorse for what they did/are doing. Everyone is different.

  • @XsilentXescapeX You're right, and that's why I said "most". But there are many places I've read this or that "expert" say that serial kilers don't feel remorse, as if it were just some general fact applicable to all. Which is nonsense. If your comment was to clarify that he's not a psychopath and that he knew what he was doing, then yes I'd agree that he was sociopathic in that sense.

  • @ericjungleboy Yes sir, that is exactly what i was getting at. I wasn't looking too deep into it, just making a comment based on the video and why he didn't seem like a killer to people. :)

  • where is the rest of the clip? I want to see the interview with the guy that sat next to him.

  • the reporters are stupid duhh he is trying to act normal and not stand out why the hell would he act like a weirdo why would anyone!

  • He looks like Howard Stern now.

  • Why are you waiting here online Naughty woman benaughtyman.info

  • They Should have..Who Wants to Date a Serial Killer..I'd watch that...This is funny though

  • He classic characteristics of a psychopath.

  • He looks like the dad from Little house on the Pairie!

  • The police force and justice system in this country is a joke. I'm so sick of hearing scum with a criminal record the size of a novel continuously being released and killing.

  • @yryriza There should be a real life Dexter!

  • "Dark, Slimey and Obnoxious"

This is what's wrong with american "men". So fucking uptight about sex and feminized. A woman sits there jiggling her tits in his face making suggestive comments to him and he makes suggestive comments back to her and he's called "slimy" by some dickless american man

  • law enforcement failure .. and yeah the guy is hiding behind the veneer of public slimyness .. operating in perceived consensus .. we encourage this type of conduct through uncritical canned laughter and tacit approval of Hollywood slime-ball behaviour. The blood of those victims spreads pretty far and wide. It's on the hands of the uncritical, spoon-fed, unwashed masses.

  • @PigsCanFly99 you have a good point and i mostly agree with you, however i don't believe that this would be a "failure" by law enforcement..serial killers are mostly psychopaths and/or sociopaths..they're able to distort their image and be manipulative..he blended into society so easily because he is a sociopath..the fact that society accepts behavior of actors and actresses is societies fault but not law enforcements.

  • That girl is lucky that he didn't want her after their date. Sometimes to lose is the same as to win.

  • There should be expedited appeals for this creep so Calfornia can give him his execution before everyone forgets him.

  • why it's always the serial killers that win the girls

  • i think the contestant screener was fired

  • "Dark, Slimey and Obnoxious", Looks like Bachelor number 2, Jed Mills, didn't take defeat lightly.

  • @b5e5n1n9y86 Jed? lol!!!

  • Same as all children murderers-torture and than bullet into head.

  • Our justice system is so fucked up. Violent criminals should get automatic life and harmless drug users should be set free.

  • @Ramshobraja FALSE

  • BLAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAA HE'S GROSS!

  • @invaderpink who kills 12 year olds?

  • @invaderpink atheists

  • @TheBigPicture1 are you creationist?

  • @TheBigPicture1

    Christians.

  • @TheBigPicture1

Happy is he who takes your babies and smashes them to death against the rocks!-Psalm 137:9

  • @Remembermylai What an ignorant douchebag you are!!!!!

  • @fuklibs

Because I point out the bible endorses MASS MURDER! Look at yourself!

  • @Remembermylai I"m SURE this scumbag was a very Religious man!! WTF is wrong with you?

  • @Remembermylai

Yes, the bible tells many stories of mass murders that occured in a barbaric time done, mostly, by an omnipotant being that the same book tells that we haven't a hope in hell of being like. How is that ENDORSING murder?

I love you people who comment about the bible without even having a rudimentary understanding of it.

  • @lesterclaypool1 1 Samuel said to Saul, “I am the one the LORD sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the LORD. 2 This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

  • @Remembermylai and what was it the amlaekite did ? were they in war ? check your history lessons ,,, believe it or not this is the way war was conducted at one time ,,,,, look it up

  • @lesterclaypool1

400 years earlier their ancestors tried to prevent the Israelites from escaping Egypt. So they were being killed for what thier ancestors did centuries ago. The context makes it worse.

  • @lesterclaypool1

Yeah, I understand that that verse says that "god" endorses mass murder. It says so. Also I just got done working at an exhibit dedicated to the dead seas scrolls. I've read the bible from cover to cover, that's one of the reasons I don't believe in it! I understand the bible far better than people like you do!

  • @Remembermylai no thats not quite what it says read it again ,,,, it directly to the isrealites in war ,,, look at the context in context to what was happening ,,, it does not say we are allowed to mass murder ,,, and altho you think you know the bible not dont under stand it ,,, and thats a context and comprehention problem ! ,,, you see you can read the bible cover to cover all day ,,, it does not mean you under stand it or know its historical basis ,,,

  • @lesterclaypool1

"it does not say we are allowed to mass murder"

Yeah it say that god himself is a mass murderer who orders the deaths of babies and children. Very directly. All this bullshit about "context" is your way of rationalizing the issue. What context is mass murder ok in? You clearly don't even know how to use the word "context" in the proper context.

  • @Remembermylai wow you are some thing else ,,, as i said it does not say we are allowed to be mass murders ,,, and the context that this is written in is war ! ,, i know you dont know this or understand this but it was war ,,, no mass murder and that is the context of the verse ,,,, and thats a fact ,,, and that is the context of the verse not mass murder like it or not ,, you can distort what ever you read any way you wish but some do know the difference between mass murder and war .

  • @lesterclaypool1

Yeah, it DEMANDS that we become mass murders. Saul is punished for not killing EVERYTHING.

"and the context that this is written in is war ! "

Yeah, when you order the deaths of women and children in war there's a word for that "War crimes' Your "god" is like an SS commandant who orders the murder of a village or a country. Ordering the deaths of everyone in a society (which ) the bible does many times is know as "Genocide"

  • @Remembermylai well thats saul and i dont believe rodney alcala is saul is he ? no hes not ,and i dont believe the bible tell us to emulates these acts does it ? no it does not ! like it or not the bible does not tell us to go killing ,so as i said the bible does not condone mass murders , as well i believe this is old testement ,, and well before the christians teachings of christ at this time in history there were no christians ,,war was conducted like this then ,, if you know history

  • @Remembermylai perhaps you could just list the verse that say we are allowed to mass murder please .... that would be great

  • @lesterclaypool1

"he LORD Rejects Saul as King 1 Samuel 15. Are you unable to follow the conversation?

  • @Remembermylai you put that on your mom lil girl ? =)

  • @TheBigPicture1

Hi moron! I don't know what you mean so the insult failed.

  • @TheBigPicture1

Don't like the fact your "god" and Mister alacla have the same personality? =) So how long before you become the next Anthony Powell? =) See you later =)

  • @Remembermylai on your way lil girl =)

  • a bee gees !

  • so teh moral of the story is, before they accept datin gshow contestnats they really should check thier police records on those people first.

  • in his spare time you might find rodney alcala raping children and encouraging young women to partake in his 'magic tricks' utilizing duct tape, venetian blind cords and slipknots.

  • this guy is so frickin awesome we should all strive to belong in this guys imperial exsistence

  • anderson cooper is so queer!

  • He did it for the lulz.

  • Comment removed

  • Lol he looks pretty much the same, just with grey hair and glasses. XD

    Not much has changed.

His habits sure didn't either. T.T

  • I wonder if he had been convicted and released prior to any of those killings?

  • sick fcuk

  • evil psychopath

  • Yet a genius.

  • @RapistAsshole yeah that's great, you rapist asshole!

  • You don't believe me?

Look up his IQ scores, dumbass.

  • @RapistAsshole I believe you, he is a genius, but that doesn't give you the right to be a rapist asshole, you rapist asshole!

  • You're being an ass, asshole. Don't judge people from their name.

  • @RapistAsshole I see right through you through my psychic intuitions, you are just like Rodney, evil and genius, I'm a genius too, but at least I don't do evil things! It's wrong to rape and kill!

  • Sure he is, rapist.

  • @RapistAsshole you are the rapist, not me, think about the evil that you inflict, it's morally wrong

  • Dude, you are so thick headed...

If you're going to factually judge everyone by their user name then you are the most stupid man on this planet.

  • what the Hell, you are being mean now

  • Only for you to realize your mistakes.

  • @RapistAsshole whatever you say you evildoer.

  • @ItalianWarrior777

    What's your IQ?

  • Yea,but that is what makes him a psychopathic monster.

  • His brilliance has been wasted on evil, I agree.
