Because someone jumped in front of me and missed the ball, it hit me in the eye just like that guy and my eye swelled up to the size of a baseball, you could see the stitches of the ball on my cheek. Then he considered going for the barehand catch, but got scared of the ball stinging his hands, so he pulled his hands down. Then he made the ultimate mistake, looking back at the ball landing, even though he should have known that balls will bounce off those hard benches very quickly/dangerously. He should have either CAUGHT IT or DUCKED AND COVERED.

Slightly unlucky for the ball to hit him in the eye/face as opposed to the shoulder or missing him completely, sure, but when it's landing right back over his head and he's turning to look right at it, it's almost certainly gonna hit him somewhere. Search for a video called "Ronny Just Misses a Batting Practice Homer" and hear me call it.
