  • I was diagnosed at the age of six, and up until high school, barely anyone, not even many adults, understood me. Like in the video, I had a very rough time with social skills, and still do 10 years later. I was constantly the victim of bullying, and at one point, I even had suicidal thoughts in elementary school. It wasn't until high school that I was truly understood by my classmates, who then reached out to me and offered their friendship.

  • I'm diagnosed with atypical high functioning autism, wich falls under the asperger spectrum, at least legally and medicaly. I may seem like stone to other people when I don't react to emotionally stressing things but it's still like glass under my skin and like a ballon about to pop in my cheast. I have no problems with social interactions and I am very social even though that has been repressed by physical pain. I think that everyone is somewere on the spectrum. Everyone is wierd inside...

  • youre right, its not a psychological disorder, but it is a social label that robs YOU and YOu and YOu of your proper identity as an individual. Wear a label, youre a sheep.

  • GREAT VID! IM 13 AND A DIAGNOSED ASPIE AND U NAILED IT RIGHT ON THE HEAD! :D 2 B HONEST MY PROBLEM ISNT SO BAD I JUST HAVE TROUBLE MAKING EYE CONTACT W/ PEOPLE AND BIG CROWDS. BUT TO BE HONEST I DONT THINK ITS REALLY AN ISSUE THIS ONLY THING IS THAT I WISH IT HAD A BETTER NAME :( P.S- IM NOT YELLING I JUST LIKE 2 TYPE IM CAPS.

  • If aspies are so smart then why don't you make a better video?

  • @DJ420wav Said like a true aspie. Lack of filtering. Make one yourself.

  • And some days i am as NT as others, but there is always the intense input of primary sense data that I often find overwhelming. sometimes pleasant sometimes not. I don't get the above average intelligence though, took me 50 years to figure it..!-!

Its grand and Id never give it up. it is sad so many NT never learn to explore and delve deeply into the workings of their own brains developing their unique potential

  • You should change the title of this.. I would never have been able to find it again if I had not added it to a playlist. Perhaps, "Through the Eyes of Aspergers"

  • love this!

  • EINSTEIN HAD ASPERGERS? I thought he enjoyed socializing. He occasionally went out with his friends. He just might be too smart for people. But it's possible he had a slight trace of it. His son was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Back then, autism was unknown. So, it's possible that his son was autistic.

  • @Nashhinton I enjoy socializing and I have asperger's. Try not to fall for lazy stereotypes

  • You Rock!!!!!!!!!!

  • This said so many of the things I don't have the words for! I have encountered so much rejection and even ostracization because people didn't understand me or were intimidated by my intellect. The only "cure" we need for Asperger's is education to encourage tolerance.

  • @fotojunkie67 Definitely agree! I just want to be understood...more than anything...when I reveal I am an Aspie, though mild, people say I am "too NT"...but they don't realize that it took 20 years of hard work to get there and that there is still a long way to go. I don't want to be cured. I want friends who accept me for who I am.

  • as far as i can see these kids are more normal than most of the main streem of kids these days what i see is they have clean souls not able to be evil now thats more than any of us can say god bless them

  • cool video

  • Exceptional video!!! Thank you!!!

  • i loved this video, you are right, you can do anything you set your mind to as long as you have someone there to guide you to the right path, unfortunately so many people have been left behind by educators who dont have the patients and time for children with different or difficult learning styles and until we do something in the government in many states if you are not MR ie: an IQ below 70 you can not receive the help that is needed to succeed

  • Beautiful, however many with this disorder (like my 46 year old brother recently diagnosed) 'fell through the cracks', and cannot hold jobs, have relationships, etc., and have become social outcasts to a large degree. They never got the help they needed growing up in the 60's and 70's (before the condition was 'discovered' and named). Kids nowadays are getting help. My brother was deemed 'retarded', and injected with powerful anti-psychotic drugs like Haldol. Very sad.

  • Beautiful.

  • Woooow!

  • Great job! This is pretty close to the way I experience Asperger's. Of course, there are so many subtleties, but you've covered a lot of the basic ideas.
