Houston is just like any other City, Large with not a lot of substance as far as I know the citties that I know that can compete with New Orleans is Miami and maybe New York city.

New Orleans got Jazz Fest, Essence Fests, Mardi Gras, 2nd Lines, Super Sundays, real block parties, cars fests, and there's others I can't think of. Plus, we(New Orleans) showed the world what a Super Bowl victory parade should really be.
