its total crap. I'm a qualified instructor and I find that snowflex has almost no relation to snow, it requires a totaly different technique as you get about a tenth of the edge grip that you do on the real thing. It's fine once your used to it, but give me the real deal anyday.

Snowflex is a good alternative. I live in Scotland and ride the dryslope in Aberdeen. It's a good way to keep in practise during the summer, and during our sometimes unreliable winter. It's harder at first but once you've mastered it you can ride pretty much anything.

Has anyone considered if the material that makes up this substance called Snowflex is environmentally safe to cover the terrain? It's fun to ski and do sports in the snow, but is this stuff OK or will it cause us any harm?

its all good for immitating but it will never get as good as real snow because you cant do powderturns cause there is no spray at all. never any deeper snow either just always boring. do it like its done in many parts of germany: build fake hills in a big gym sortof thing... type skihalle bispingen and take a look.
