  • Not half bad, I think there should be more people that practice their arts in more realistic circumstances such as you seem to try to emulate. Safety gear and practice weapons also shows intelligence. I haven't watched part two yet but I suggest practice against baseball bat type weapons with the manriki gusari.

  • Thank you my friend. We did not practice against base ball, but sword attacks that day @Matacuz

  • haha I hope I never have to defend myself for real with that chain whip. Needs much refining

  • when hit your neck with the chain your out.

    no knife attack

  • are you usein woodland BDUs??

  • could you explain the moves you do in this video ?

  • Yes would you like one in peticular? I will add some annotations but I was doing a ton of stuff. @brndoil

  • @ShinobiMystic the last move you did , btw i realy like your videos they inspire me for my training thanks ;)

  • WHAT STATE DO YOU LIVE IN .... I'M IN WASHINGTON HOW ABOUT YOU

  • I am from massachusetts I have a video about myself and my goals. Thanks for watching. @DV8DEX

  • Another informative video

  • dont worry about this mutenkami clown. go at the speed you feel is safe. wear safety eye wear. keep up what you are doing. if you cant do it slow you cant do it fast. period. good training with some resistance. good to see mike. having fun and learing safe at your own speed and not getting hurt so you can train the next day is important. 5 stars mike. keep it up. go slow try fast. do what you think is best. cause it is obvious you know what is best for you and your buddy. i got a new fun vid too

  • @MOUNTAINOUS

lmao go ahead call me clown. I was just giving him advice, you all are to insecure to listen or consider that is your own fault. The real clown is one who discredits someone for just trying to help.

  • I respect all who help me progress. I know speed will come with mastery. And right now doing new things for the first time. I know mastery comes later. Thanks for watching. @MutenKami

  • @MOUNTAINOUS Thanks bro. I know there is more on the way. All kinds of training I am glad to have friends to help me make these videos. Jason you always do so well with your solo training. Peace bro.

  • nice gi ninja.

  • mike dont get cought in hater game mutenkami is bate you in troll acttack it was good video remeber training with out hate just look out for you bro

  • slow and bad technique as usual, how come you all dont try at actual combat speed and try to make it so this will be used in a real situation instead of playing around all the time.

  • What do you mean? @MutenKami

  • @ShinobiMystic well i noticed it too specialy witth the long rope with yellow ball the way you used it would have got you kileld if he realy wanted to harm you it was slow and a bit clumsy no ofence you justn eed more training with the weapon its not like iam all that good

  • @maarhoefe very true. I am terrible with the chain whip. This was the first time either of us had attempted to apply it to a combat situation. Nearly every time the sword won out, but that is why we train and why mike tapes this, so we can look back on it and realize what we did wrong.

  • @opeth867 will you try master it ? as yo uare now i could takee you unarmed simply becus the chain is weighing you down keep practising it but the most imporantt part of such weapons is keeping your calm else you loos e control i only use flexibal weapons for one thibg and that is distracting i go for the ace and then charge in

  • @MutenKami thats is some of the worst advice i have heard. most of that, with exclusion from my chain whip technique, was awesome technique and you absolutely HAVE TO START SLOW. You obviously don't train if you don't know that. if you go actual combat speed from the start it gets extremely sloppy and useless. We are building a good solid foundation and good taijutsu by starting slow and you would know that if you knew anything about martial arts.

  • Great video guys. Nice training area as always Mike.

If I might make a recommendation: When using the shogee or similar weapon (kusarigama, etc) I find it works better if I swing the weight overhead like a helicopter in a counter-clockwise fashion. I tend to be able to wrap the weight around the target/target's weapon/limbs, etc much better. I realize space doesn't always allow for this but if you got it, I would recommend trying it that way.

  • @mmacconn069 sounds great thanks.

  • You know what would be fun. Get a some markers and white t shirts, and go after each other and see how much we get cut.

  • @josepy021987 Dollar store here we come. I know you can even put red lipstick on the edge of the sharpie, comes off as a nice cut too. Let me know if you want to get together to train at the obstacle course arena.

  • @ShinobiMystic I'm free Monday!

  • Respond to this video... me too we should hang out have a training session. I will give you a call.

  • @ShinobiMystic sounds good, can't wait should be a good one!

  • @josepy021987 very good idea. are you the guy in the vid with mike?

  • @MOUNTAINOUS No not in this video. I'm in a few of his other ones. The jutaijutsu.... just look for the leprechaun
