In three years Pistol Pete set collegiate scoring records no one in three thousand years will ever beat. Pete's AVERAGE day was over 44 points. And bear in mind there was no three-point range back then (and many of Pete's field goals were from today’s three-point range). Plus he often gave up easy scores for amazing assists. Many of my friends didn't even realize as a guard Pete led the NBA in scoring in 1987! Pistol was one of the game's greatest.
