@josegotwood Yes. Indeed you can. But it comes from a persective much different than from someone who rides. Unless of course you're speaking of skating, dirtbiking, snowboarding, or something of similarity. in that case I believe that you might be able to feel the same "escape" that you do with riding. But with anything else, it's much different. I know because I'm an artist as well and have a huge passion for it. And it does change the way I see things. But not in the same way as riding.

This is a vary true story! I use 2 ride about 8 hours every day but one day I recked badly and knocked myself out. If you have relationship problems, I mean SERIOUS relationship problems they usually get in your way. Unless you're trained to get into that one zone where nothing else matters..then riding during those times is a bad idea. I've basically given up on being cared for so I don't deal with it very often..but hey, not everybody is that pathetic. =/. It makes me not want to ride sometimes..but then I look at my bike, hear my cassette..and I can't resist.
toastyovens, you dont know how bad i want to shoot you. BMXing isn't a fashion-mongering sport, its a true lifestyle. Society doesn't put BMXing(and its fashion) at a higher rate, we BMXers ride because its a great feeling. I got stitches, and the day i got them out i went out and rode my bikebecause of my love for riding. that was 3 days ago, and ive ridden like 10 hours since then. Yes, some of the famous riders unfortunatly get hit by press and fashion, but they still keep the BMX spirit.

If you have relationship problems, I mean SERIOUS relationship problems they usually get in your way. Unless you're trained to get into that one zone where nothing else matters..then riding during those times is a bad idea. I've basically given up on being cared for so I don't deal with it very often..but hey, not everybody is that pathetic. =/. It makes me not want to ride sometimes..but then I look at my bike, hear my cassette..and I can't resist.

toastyovens, you dont know how bad i want to shoot you. BMXing isn't a fashion-mongering sport, its a true lifestyle. Society doesn't put BMXing(and its fashion) at a higher rate, we BMXers ride because its a great feeling. I got stitches, and the day i got them out i went out and rode my bikebecause of my love for riding. that was 3 days ago, and ive ridden like 10 hours since then. Yes, some of the famous riders unfortunatly get hit by press and fashion, but they still keep the BMX spirit.

its amazing how bmx truly changes your perspective and how differently you look at things.
society truly doesnt understand.
alot my friends still make fun of me for riding my bike around instead of goin muddin or any of that stuff.
some of them thinks its cool how i can look at something at school or anywhere and just out loud im like damn i can wallride that and 180 over that ledge. stuff like that.
when you ride you forget about everything thats going on in life and you are stress free.

its all true i went to the skate park on my redline race bmx bike and basicly did a scrub on a kicker and landed flat on my side and the pedal in my chest. most people say thats too dangerous for a 11 year old to be doing that stuff but i can't stop it's A PASSION!!!!
