  • I love using a flyrod for all kinds of fish. I once caught a 7 lb bass while bream fishing in Georgia. I real thrill. Thanks for Sharing !! Frankie

  • why do you have a bobber on the line. why not jus a simple strike indicator.?

  • @Backwater58 a bobber is a strike indicator. What could be more simple?

  • @NguyenVanThock2185 true. but i meant if he was doin any sort of long casting the bobber wouldnt work as well as some of the other methods or strike indicators...the bobber is just to big and catches to much air to be used on a fly fishing set up.

  • one thing ive noticed when fly fishing for crappie is the never come to the surface for a dry fly, they only really strike on streamers, and some will only strike a few inches or a foot below the surface,,

  • good job, are you using bobber and hook though???

  • i really wana push him offf the boat lol and was this a commercial?

  • i really wana push him offf the boat lol

  • why are you using a strike indicater i never use indicaters on streamers. the crappie around me never get that big!

  • what is this guy wearing?

  • why in the world does he have a bobber ?

  • @SCProBassAngler many people use bobbers with their fly rods, its better known as an "indicator" to fly fisherman.

  • got me a nice cheap fly rod 2 days ago. first day out in the water got me a 2 1/2 pound crappie!. first time out with a fly rod too!

  • what rod/reel?

  • nice catch great idea for catching Crappies!

  • awsome vid.

  • That guy doesn't cast very well. He is getting his fly to the fish, and that is all that matters. The cameraman is making him out to be Lefty Kreh or something.

  • it is easy to flyfish

  • been fly fishing for the better part of 18 years now. I still have a lot to learn.

  • nice video and nice fish, but I am from the flyfishing school that doesnt use bobbers or what most flyfisherman call "strike indicators? you had a perfect little chop on the water that day. nice job

  • lol sh*t dont say that children

  • Nice video. A good fisherman personality, and a good camera operator/narrator personality. Usually when people *try* to do this it comes out annoying, but you two made a really likeable post. Thanks.

  • what flies should i use (my first time) i caught crappie in that lake before and not on flies . I know how to cast and i have all equipment. I just need to know if fly or popper

  • well, he is not the best flycaster, but he sure does know how to catch fish

  • Luck like this seems rare these days. I remember by Dad taking me out in his canoe to this lake in Michigan where we'd catch almost record size crappies and perch all day long. We'd catch just enough to make a nice dinner, then release the rest. Went back to that lake a couple years ago, fished all day and all I caught was a sucker and a carp. What a shame.

  • This is a gas!

  • man you guys should try making some small poppers....bass and pan fish hit them and its a blast

  • DELICIOS

  • Wow........ all the more reason why I'm taking my fly rod with me next time I go crappie fishing lol.

  • I'm am fly fishing tommorow!

  • That is one big crappie. Great job! What fly did you use?

  • decent video, that fly reel looks similar to my St. Croix 4-weight outfit, I'm curious, it seems you're wet fly or nymphing for them, ever try for them on a dry fly, it's a gas.

  • it seems your telling us stuff we already know.

  • interesting,slabs on the fly.

  • sweet video and if you think that is a bobber then you are a dumbass. It's for wet flies

  • that is one fish i haven't caught yet, maybe someday.

  • stratocaster4 ur a dumbass u can use a float for flysfishing so what if he is using a float u fuck head!

  • Crappie fisherman using profanity ? No way that could ever happen !

Thats is a great spring time method to use..

    Nice video...

  • Thats a fucking strike indicator so when you're using wet flies you know when you get a bite, same idea as a bobber makes it easier to keep your hook/fly in the same spot and easier to detect a bite. You're the dumbass and obviously haven't seen enough flyfishers.
