  • @Shwizzy Thank you. It's funny...You said that and I immediately went to see what I did. Simple answer. I didn't transpose the score so the bass notes are the sounding notes, not what they would see. They would see it up an octave and it would sound here. Been a year and I never noticed I did a concert score.

Thanks again for the kind words..I appreciate it!

  • Dude this is sweet but some of your notations are crazy! You have bass going way below its register. The tune is awesome though!

  • Very nice.

  • Really beautiful music! Great job!

  • Very nice. Very nice indeed. Excellent midi mockup skills as well!!

  • Nice music , you inspired me to try out LASS. Thank you.

  • Nice piece! Good contrapuntal lines throughout. I'm also vacillating between LASS and HS. Or, I could even mess my mind up by throwing Vienna Strings in the mix:)

  • wow this is really nice

  • @max05XIII Thank you. I was pretty bummed out they went with a 'rock' score, but I've got this now. Just want to have it find a home somewhere.

Thank you again for the kind words.

  • This is really nice, I like the emotion your brought out, in a sampled library, that is somewhat difficult to do. Really nice job!

  • @PianoSoulos Thank you. That's really why I wanted to try out LASS. I wanted to see if it had potential for emotion. I'm very happy with it. I would obviously still rather record with live strings. It's just so much more fun. There's nothing like live strings.

Thank you again for the kind words.

  • LASS and HS both sound great. I went with LASS because I feel that there was a lot of love put into recording the strings individually, whereas HS feels more industrial and cold.

  • i enjoyed this. Nice, simple and flowing

  • Sounds great! Would you recommend LA Scoring Strings or Hollywood Strings from EastWest?

  • Wish I could answer that. I don't really know. I wrote this and went over to my programmers to try out his LASS to see what I think. I love it. I'm probably going to buy it for myself (I've got 25 children's videos to score and want some great string sounds).

  • @mooreentstudios I 'think' LASS but I have not reviewed Hollywood Strings yet. Will do that this weekend to check it out. For me, they're all probably amazing quality, but the guy I do stuff with already has LASS and it will be easy to send him midi files ready to go and save some time.
