To everyone replying to ben; There are just some people out there that think that muscle = v8. Hell even the 64 1/2 had the U-code 101hp v6 option, so the 6ers have been around just as long as the 8s.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised with the way things are going these days if more higher powered mods start rolling around for the 6ers and make them nearly equal with slightly and/or decently modded 8's. With what the 6ers have available to them now, they can match 8's with bolt-on & tuner.

I say 6 because the 2007 gt and the 2005 gt are give or take the same. I happen to own a 2007 Mustang V6 Pony Package in this exact same color. There's nothing wrong or immasculine about it. I'm currently sitting at stock and my V6 still beats most tuned ricers in my city. Add a dual exhaust, new air intake, and a chip or turbo and you'll blow the doors off any V8 out there. Also the power to weight ratio makes the V6 a better candidate to mod than the V8 anyways. '06 V6 for $15k and $4k of mods beats $21k V8 sorry. Also better on gas. Don;t be dissin the V6.

@hahainurface12 Exactly! I have a 98 mustang GT and with the few mods I have done to my V6, it puts down more horse at the wheels than my V8. Plus you really can tell how much better it handles because its lighter. I'm adding lowering springs and strut bar this spring.

@mustang9807 umm, that's because from the factory, the 07 V6 makes about the same HP as a 98 GT did. With a couple of easy mods, it would not take much.

@macaddict3032 The 1998 GT has a bump in HP from the factory over the prior 2 years up to 225. The v6 only had 205 or 210. All in all though, my 98 GT makes 45 pound foot of torque more and torque is what matters.

@mstrchief43 Yes I installed it myself. Probably the hardest part was getting the car off the ground far enough to get the mid pipes over the rear axle. Make sure you get the back end of the car up high so you can get the angle to get them over. Other than that, pretty easy.

Someone asked for the part number for the Dynomax kit. It is 19434.  It is a complete quick cut and band system. I have this system on my 07 V6, but I used the GT takeoff mufflers for the manual transmissions, so the sound was mellower. The a/t mufflers are higher pitched and don't have the deeper sounds that the m/t ones do.

I like my GT bumper. I also ordered the painted GT rockers for the sides which makes the GT bumper look better on it. The GT rockers were only like $90 then you could put a customs front on or a bumper spoiler like I did. I did all mine at different times to save up money to do it. Take your time and make it how you want to. I just looked at a lot of pictures before I decided what I wanted to do.
