I thought you were allowed 2 steps once you killed your dribble. I was making the point that many players use 2 and a half steps, which is usually quick and the refs can't pick up on it, or they just pick on certain players more than others. (LBJ made 3 here)

It's a moot point, the NBA is special. In just about any other league on the planet this is called a travel (depending on the player of course). They rarely call this in the NBA and will almost never call it on LBJ
