Rogers fostered empowerment, (Carl Rogers on Personal Power). That’s more power for the client and less for that “weak” therapist, a change in “the politics of therapy.” His theories have also been among the most widely researched in psychotherapy (& education). He also, like Maslow, repeatedly advocated a revised scientific paradigm for psychology, (cf Man and the Science of Man & etc). This, (& Maslow’s The Psychology of Science, & etc) has been largely forgotten by history, & by textbooks.
