  • The super 44 is a louder muffler than the original 40 series

  • No cop no stop

  • Comment removed

  • @Tjwardx i disagree. 3" tips look way to small on trucks, plus you never see the tail piping, so the 4" tip vs the 2 1/4" pipe isn't seen

  • Comment removed

  • nevermind. its not about hiding the pipes for me. its about not having some big ass exhaust tip on small ass exhaust pipes. just looks like a rice burner or something. id rather not have any tips but i just left it on there when i got the truck.

  • Good job changing those headlights back. lol

  • @GangstaFarva haha thanks

  • sounds mean! Im thinking about putting a super 44 on my 1977 ford ltd 5.8l :D

  • Sounds like a dying animal lol mean

  • @gohomeimigrants i'm not sure if "dying animal" is the right term haha

  • any one know a good site to go to order this exhaust? i would love to get the same for my 04 hemi

  • dude those tail lights r sick cause they dont look rice

  • could you send me the link for the exhaust system you have in this truck ?

  • yo wats up bro u got two 44 series or just 1?

  • for a flowmaster super 44 its alittle to quiet my flowmaster 40 is much louder on my 5.9.. good sounding truck tho just not as loud as id thought the 44 would be ive heard it on many other trucks and its much louder.. even with my speakers turned up

  • @dodge2289 it sounded real good in person. and yea the 40 is definitely louder than the super 44. i wasn't going for loud though, just a nice tone

  • @speeddemon0712 I'd argue that. the original 40 isn't louder than the super 44. you guys need to remember the application of the muffler too. the the 5.9 and 5.7 are both different engines with a lot of different things going on. both mufflers are loud/aggressive but the super 44 is supposed to be the slightly louder newer muffler.

  • @dodge2289 The 44 is really deep I put one on my toyota tacoma 2.7l 4banger and it sounds really good

  • Nice sound I'm about to get the same for my 08

  • Hell yeah dude that sounds beastin.

  • alright thanks man truck sounds awesome

  • is eveything else stock???

  • @BigRogers7870 Yep other than cold air intake

  • damn that hd camera really brings out the rumble and drone of the exhaust, the bass is si loud on my speakers. Sounds good. How much did you pay for that roll pan id like to get one for my truck

  • thanks.. it was on the truck when i got it. but i remember getting rear ended and they had to replace the roll pan, tailgate, left quarter panel, then paint and it was $4400. so id say somwhere in the $1500 region

  • that truck sounds BA!

  • I got one for my truck. after hearing yours..1500 spt 4.7..just took of the old ,cut the straight pipe into 4 took it over the diff, welded them together and welded on the end muffler, one in two out..will post it soon ..see what you guys think.. we need more trucks in the U.K...I cost £120.00 .but luckily no install charges..dunno about better fuel..at £5.00 a gallon it would be nice..ha ha ..

  • let me know when you post it.. i want to hear it

  • will do buddy....

  • can you tell me EXACTLY the parts you used

i will prob have a hemi ram by december and i wanna know what you did cause thats how i want mine to sound

  • all it is, is flowmaster super 44 muffler, 1 inlet 2 outlet, with 4" tips

  • so everything costed 375 the parts and the installation?

and did it improve or lower ur gas mileage?

  • yep, $375 parts, installation, everything (i got a sick deal)

as for performance, nothing. if anything worse gas mileage cause i drove it faster to hear the exhaust haha

  • Sounds good. I've got Super 40 dumped on my 04. Need to make clip with camera far away like yours.

  • yea do it, im curious to see how it sounds

  • Super 44 is the best sounding muffler for our type of trucks never go with the super 50s unless u dont want to hear drone and u dont want it as aggressive and super 40s are more for mustangs to be honest and since our engins are 5.7 the super 44s really make it sound GOOD

  • you get 12 mpg in the city right?

  • yea thats city... usually 17/18 hwy

  • that doesnt make sense guys i got an 07 hemi sport with a super 44 1 in 2 out 3 inch piping all the way and i still get 14 mpg sometimes even 15 and yes city and hwy between 18-20 usually 19, btw sounds good u shoulda got on it when u accelerated more though thtas when u really hear it is around 3k - 4k it sounds BAD

  • ohok that was some good information. but what is CAI really?

and do u have all those things on ur truck and u stil get 12mpg?? haha

  • A cold air intake is a system used to bring down the temperature of the air going into a car for the purpose of increasing the power of the internal-combustion engine. (yes i copied/pasted that haha)

and yea, but i drove it kinda hard, but i freakin loved how my exhaust sounded so it was hard not to haha

  • hey man, i was checking out your videos and i have a few questions. i am bout to buy an 05 dodge ram single cab hemi. before i get it i would like to have ur opinion on this truck.

is this an overall bad truck cuz ppl always tel me to go with a chevy or a ford?

and how much mpg do u get and what can i put in it to improve that?

  • this was a great truck! everybody has their own opinion on fords, chevy's, etc... i think personally anything 03' and newer, there all the same really. all the truck company's have figured out ways to make their trucks faster, stronger, reliable, just overall better u know?

i got about 12 mpg in this truck, but if ur gonna buy a 5.7L V8, u really shouldnt be worrying about the gas mileage haha. improvements.. maybe CAI, exhaust, just little things to make it your own.

  • sounds nice dude!!!

  • did it take some "breaking in" for them to sound like that becuse i just got the same muffler, smaller engine but still didnt know

  • honestly no, sounded like that the second i left the shop... in my experience in exhausts, ive never really seen a difference in the "break-in" period

  • thats a nice truck ya got there, clean setup too i like that

  • i really dont want to pay out tha ass to have one muffler installed

  • I live in nc so i know there will be a bit of a diffrence and you got duel but abot how much did it cost to have just the muffler installed with the modding they had to do to get the muffler in there

  • well it had an old flowmaster muffler dumped before... so they installed the super 44 muffler, the tailpiping, and tips for $375... the tips alone were $90. and its not true dual, its just 1 muffler with 2 tailpipes

  • love ur license plates lol

  • How much did ur exhaust setup cost man??

  • $375

  • o and what size/kinda piping do u got on the truck

  • i think its 2 1/2" piping and 4" tips

  • yes thank you for ur videos man i been debating for so long on which exhaust to get on my dodge ram daytona between the cherry bomb extreme areo turbine and the flowmaster super44's and this video helped me make up my mind i think im going with the super 44's do u have headers ? do u have ur cats on and ur resonators ?

  • no problem... no headers, no cats, no nothing... all stock

  • so u took the cats off hmm im trying to find a video of a ram hemi 5.7 with the super 44's with the cats on

  • no no no... i ment no aftermarket headers or anything... i have cats its all stock

  • i have the same tailights..and i l;ove them...

  • i had the super 44 on my 2002 dodgeram and was a little to much..im getting the 40 or the 50 put on this friday....cant wait...i have magnaflow right now and hate it.doesnt sound very good..i even have it dumped...im leaning more towards the super 40.......

  • I really admire the way you take the time to make the videos, makes it extremely helpful when choosing a muffler. Thanks!

  • no problem, thats why i do it... that and to show off how beastly of cars i have haha

  • Well, I ordered the Super 44 muffler this morning with the magnaflow y-pipe and 4"x18" exhaust tips. It's getting installed May 15th, can't wait!

  • BigDirtyBlack and craig71686:

    you both are little bitches.

  • did you remove the resonators on this?.. and yours is a HEMI right?

i have an 07 with the MDS.. right now i have a cutout after the first resonator and i dont like how it sounds.. but i like being able to make the truck quiet again when riding the interstate..

so my idea is to replace the resonator up front (the one before my cutout) with a flowmaster 40 or 44.. this sounds better then any 40 series vid on this truck that i have ever heard.. sounds freakin bad ass..

  • Truck sounds nice. One of the best and cheapest ways to boost HP is getting a throttle body spacer. Add that to your setup and you can get up to 20hp from it.

  • ur an idiot

  • Wow. You like to talk shit online. Lol. Actually a throttle body will usually give you more of a power boost than swapping out just the muffler. Intakes and throttle body spacers usually give more power gains than an exhaust.

  • when i see proven gains on a dyno, then ill believe it.. i had a 07 mustang gt.. it was modded up a little bit, and could run a 12.87.. throttle body spacers a complete joke dude.. you MIGHT get 3 or 4 hp.. but who the hell wants to pay $100+ for 3 hp..

sorry man.. not trying to start crap.. just sayin

  • I am just saying that they do work. You won't get 20hp from a naturally aspirated engine though. I noticed a big difference in my truck from the spacer. Even if it does only give 3 to 4hp, you still get a better performance through the entire power band. On top of that I have also seen about 2 more mpg. Most spacers actually cost under $100 with all the required hardware.

  • What do you know you drive a ford rustang....

  • thats bad ass man

  • Comment removed

  • i have a 2003 dodge ram 1500 hemi with magnaflow dual exhaust. while flowmaster only produces sound, magnaflow sounds better AND increases Horsepower. it should bring your 345hp 5.7L to 365-375. add an intake and youll definately Feel the difference

  • i hate the sound of magnaflows.. and i have an airaid cold air intake too

  • nice truck

    sounds awesome

  • hell yeah. check my exhaust out on my Z71

  • lol thanks for the video comment good lookin truck by the way!

  • Lol nice i didnt kno u actually got ur license plate done

  • yea its awesome

  • stealthy is right. Waiting on my super 44s to come in then i'll have duals. You gotta check em out when I get em on and break the exhaust in. Sounds real mean though, a little quieter than I would like mine.

  • yea i would of gone true duals but you cant with my year dodge... and they should be louder once they get broken in. they have 550 miles on them now, ill post another vid when they have 1000

  • i got the same exhaust as you do mine just exit at the side instead of straight out, nice truck and sounds good.

  • yea i watched the vid... do u have duals or just the single in single out exhaust?

  • i have single in dual out, i was going to dump it right after the cab, but i figured since i sometimes take road trips that it would get old fast so i went out the sides behind the wheels.

  • cool... not to start a fight here or anything, but is ur truck really a hemi? it just seems slow to me.. check out my 0-60 vid.. nice truck tho

  • ya its a hemi, at the time that video was taken i had a topper on it with 600 lbs of sand in the back for the winter otherwise i cant keep it on the road. ill post more soon with the topper off and the sand gone.

  • oh haha that would make sense

  • AH HELL YEA!!! that's what a truck should sound like.

  • yeaaaaah! thats what I'm talking about. Git R Done!
