I love cityscape scenes like this, especially the night time scenes! It's fun just imagining all the adventure there is to find out among all those city lights. And the music by Vangelis goes perfectly with these thoughts!
@toastedtesticles Lots of the japanese masters of anime took direct inspiration from this film alone :) Just check out any of Hideo Kojima's (Policenauts, Snatcher and Metal Gear Solid) or Mamoru Oshii's (Ghost In The Shell, Appleseed) work, they are super in love with this flick and they do not try to hide it.
